I went to Disney World a couple weeks ago and I saw a poster of the new Fantasyland..... it had a GINORMOUS roller coaster they didn't explain here....
Me and my family went in september and all of the fantasy land was all gone, it was our favourite part in magic kingdom and, we really like mickey and minnies house, which we was sad about, but we are might be going again for the sixth time. When will all the reconstruction be finished ? So we know the right time to go back that's all
i went to Disney World in October, i saw where they were building the new Fantasyland and it looked pretty cool! all i could see was a tall (not built yet) mountain thing and a castle of some sort. I bet if we rode Dumbo, we would have been able to see over the wall! Unfortunately, we never got to :'( the lines were too long. (70 minute wait for Peter Pan!)
@GregariousGorilla clearly, you don't know Disney very well. DisneyWorld has been an ongoing project since before Walt's death. These plans didn't just happen overnight, these plans have been talked about for 10 plus years, but they're able to implement them NOW, better than they would have been 10 years ago when these talks first started. AND, Disneyworld, mainly Fantasyland, has needed a major overhaul for a while. Check your facts before you laugh at it.
@GregariousGorilla The FLE is not a response to WWOHP. This project has been discussed a long time before WWOHP was even mentioned... While I admit that WWOHP is very nice, FLE is just going to blow it away.
Im sure Disney must have been sweating bullets when they heard the plans Universal unveiled for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Looks like DisneyWorld is trying to catch up with Universal :)

Ive been to Florida four times, ive just got back in fact. Me and my family had never done a walt disney world park, this time we decided we would do Hollywood studios. To be honest i thought universal studios was better :p The theming at universal is much much better.

The creepy thing about the new stuff from Disney is, they started hiding all this masonic symbolism, and evil marketing crap. I mean, come on, the whole princess thing is such a blatant piece of psychological manipulation on little girls. It's grotesque.

Why on earth would they take down Mickey's Toontown Fair. This is the exact reason that Disney has ruined themselves. Mickey Mouse is disappearing from life as we know it, and the parks are the only place where he ever shows up all the time. Now they're getting rid of him? When Hannah Montana had aired it's final season, I figured things would get back to the way they used to be. I can't believe this is still happening.
Disney is not demolishing the snow white ride imusely. I was just there and the new fantasyland was sectioned off FAR away from the snow white. Most of the new fanstasyland was already buit from what I could see. It is opening in 2012. No reason to tear down snow white and they aren't going to.
@Dondicknova We're not sure if the building is being demolished, but Snow White's Scary Adventure will be closing down. That location will become Princess Fairytale Hall.

I find the video to be pretty funny at 0:35. You hear "We are nearly dubbling the size of fantasy-land" Gasps of excitement! followed by ..." to include more of your favorite Disney princesses"... groans and uneasiness. lol. I am glad pixie hallow is scrapped and 7dwarfs are being added as well as storybook circus! Its a much better plan
@csinashwood Mickey's Toontown Fair and Snow White's Scary Adventures. They are the only attractions at Disney World I know of that have been removed as part of the expansion (with the exception of The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm, which will be renamed The Great Goofini.)
@CJB183 Yes there is. After this announcement was made, Disney changed some of their plans. Some of the princess cottages are gone and a Seven Dwarves Mine Train ride has been added.
this looks amazing but I'm going to magic kingdom for the first time soon, when I get there, lots of construction will be going on which will take the magic out of my experience :(
@XxZTBxX Yes, they haven't announced any changes to It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, the carousel, Mickey's Philharmagic or the Winnie the Pooh ride.
What no Snow White??? They should add the Snow White Cottage with the seven dwarves so more boys will want to come too. It would also be really cool if they add a Rapanzel tower to look like the one in the movie.
OMFG!!!! B& theB is my favorite movie!!! I almost crapped myself when I heard they were making the castle, village and cottage. PISSED that its in California. I can only go to Florida becuase we would be on the plane all day to California.

I have waited a lifetime, just to get to be in ariels world. To be able to ride the mermaid ride is a dream for me. I have been waiting since the 90's to do so. Long wait! I am a guy as well so. I hope I am alowed to ride it. idk

well every thing sounds great but on their blog they said they are taking out snow whites scary adventure its sad to see a classic go but they will be making a mining rollecoaster type thing for snow whites story.
It's gonna take a year's savings if i'm ever going there once it's completed :( by the way, i think Disney should focus on adding more characters to the theme park and also more fun rides.

To steer clear of the confusion of wether Pooh's Playful Spot and Ariel's Grotto are staying, yes they are staying, but they are just putting a wall over them until end of completion.

@MrMikotello alot of what you saw in this video has been cut out due to budgets cuts as usual. So, the only new rides you will be seeing are a D-Ticket Snow White coaster and The Little Mermaid ride (which is will be a copy of DCA's version other than the exterior detail). The rest is a waste of space if you ask me. They could use that other land for stuff like Kingdom Hearts.

@Kingdom1286 Friend,,I know how you feel, but I've tried thinking of ways to put Kingdom Hearts in a ride or one section of a existing park(and have it make sense). Oh no, the over all concept for Kingdom hearts will not allow for that. Kingdom Hearts will have to be it's own theme park. Because the idea of going from one disney movie based world/land is TOO HUGE, even for me to discribe in the 101 characters I have left. :)

@Kingdom1286 well kingdom hearts is 2 things Anime and Disney, but mostly disney. i LOVE kingdom hearts myself and would love for them to do something like that.. in a way they have when it comes to the disney part of it, but the whole anime doesnt go with fantasyland.. and they do the park for children so a videogame about heart stealing dark creatures probably doesnt even cross they're minds
I cried when I saw the Beast's Library...and the restaurant--OMG!!!! I'm so glad our plans to go to DW fell through. Now I can go when this is done! :D

@Figscout They're planning on turning the Barnstormer into a newly themed ride to match the new stuff. That's what I've heard recently. I've heard a lot of changes have happened to what is described here, going lower budget and less girl-focused. Too bad, because at least this looked very high budget. Frankly though, what I'm most psyched about lately is the "Living Character Initiative" of more realistic park characters they've been making, like Remy, Lightning McQueen, & a talking Mickey.
@Figscout Barnstormer is staying. It's going to be rethemed, but alot of stuff from Toontown Fair won't be removed since the area where MTTF is will be a Dumbo-themed land.
I'm surprised that they didn't add anything for the princess and the frog. My little sister showed me that movie, and it was really good. And I heard that Princess Tiana was at the magic kingdom, (from DisneyParks' channel) so I was kinda surprised that they didn't have a little area or a ride for the Princess and the Frog.

It is apparent that Disney is no longer the pioneer company in the industry. Walt never imagined a day when his parks would have to alter their plans and make adjustments just to keep up.
They are getting rid if pixie hollow ! You have to be kidding me! How dare they ! That's ridiculous! I'm outraged u an a huge tinkerbell fan! Please do u have sources that confirm this horrific change?
Also, I'm going to miss Toontown. I wish they would just move it to Disney Hollywood studios where the Animation section is or something. It did need work, but they shouldn't get rid of Toontown. Move it and add the Roger Rabbit ride (at the very least), plus move the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor to where it belongs, Disney Hollywood Studios or a new Energy section of EPCOT. They could've upgraded EPCOT with PIXAR themeing a lot more than just having Nemo. FutureWorld really needs help these days.
Wow, I can't believe I hadn't heard about all this till today! Too bad it won't be ready by my next visit, which will be next year. It does suck that it seems to be mostly meet 'n' greet and only one really new ride. Plus, looks like it will be more awkward than ever for a childless adult to get a photo with the princesses, something I have yet to do. Looks like it will be gorgeous though. I'm a HUGE Tink and Ariel fan, so, wow! But I thought Pixie Hollow was already up?
@slave2moonlight Disney has announced they are changing their plans somewhat from what was announced here, but most of what you see will happen. They haven't given details yet.
There is an area called Pixie Hollow, but what they're talking about here is an expanded version. But who knows if that's still in the plans.
@AttractionsMagazine Yeah, reading more recent information, it's been kind of disappointing. There were a couple things here I didn't love, but I hate that I hear they're dropping Pixie Hollow entirely so the new stuff won't be all girl-aimed.
@AttractionsMagazine I hear now that Pixie Hollow is being dropped from the plan. As a Tink fanatic who definitely wants to meet her, I'm pretty disappointed. I'm dying to get a photo with both of my top fave dreamgirls, Ariel and Tink, even if YouTube singer (and another dreamgirl of mine) Sarah Daniels no longer plays Tink there.

Yeah, I can't believe they removed their cute little houses, but hopefully they will move them to Disney Hollywood Studios or something. Anyway, I loved the princesses in a guy crushing on them sorta way, so I am not against more princess stuff, but I think it shouldn't just be aimed at little kids. Meet and greets should be childless adult-friendly and drop the arts and crafts kids can do at home. Also, add rides.

@lyricsofbeauty905 I think Walt Disney himself would be proud of what they're going to do with Fantasyland! If the Disney Imagineers left Disney World the way it was when it opened, then they'd have out-of-date attractions (and characters at that!). Plus some amazing rides that they've added since then wouldn't exist.
They have since confirmed the changing of plans since this video was posted. The Imagineers agreed that this concept was geared mostly to young girls, and need to aim more at all groups. Which is cool IMO. Google it.

What no Snow White??? They should add the Snow White Cottage with the seven dwarves so more boys will want to come too. It would also be really cool if they add a Rapanzel tower to look like the one in the movie.

OMFG!!!! B& theB is my favorite movie!!! I almost crapped myself when I heard they were making the castle, village and cottage. PISSED that its in California. I can only go to Florida becuase we would be on the plane all day to California.

Guys, I heard that Aurora's Cottage and Cinderella's house wont happen anymore b/c boys wont like this. instead, there'll be the Dwarves' mine and a rollercoaster.

i gotta say that i'm truly dissapointed. i really thought disney wuld go the next mile and use new technology. one of the reasons i like universal is becus there rides r so much more advanced and use new technology and its a shame disney dusnt do the same. it seems to me this expansion is like a really expensive kids birthday party where kids just eat, do crafts, and meet princesses. hopefully the little mermaid ride will be more than a ride like winnie the pooh or peter pan,

@MrMikotello alot of what you saw in this video has been cut out due to budgets cuts as usual. So, the only new rides you will be seeing are a D-Ticket Snow White coaster and The Little Mermaid ride (which is will be a copy of DCA's version other than the exterior detail). The rest is a waste of space if you ask me. They could use that other land for stuff like Kingdom Hearts.

omg ! i am a big fan of ariel and i have ALWAYS wanted to see her and eric and the castle too bad it wont be open till 2012 ! :( Oh well.... the last time i went to disney was when i was 4 im 14 now... ever since i was 2 i was a ariel fan and now im 14 and im still an ariel fan im all the disney princesses fans :) lol cant wait !

@Kingdom1286 Friend,,I know how you feel, but I've tried thinking of ways to put Kingdom Hearts in a ride or one section of a existing park(and have it make sense). Oh no, the over all concept for Kingdom hearts will not allow for that. Kingdom Hearts will have to be it's own theme park. Because the idea of going from one disney movie based world/land is TOO HUGE, even for me to discribe in the 101 characters I have left. :)

@Kingdom1286 well kingdom hearts is 2 things Anime and Disney, but mostly disney. i LOVE kingdom hearts myself and would love for them to do something like that.. in a way they have when it comes to the disney part of it, but the whole anime doesnt go with fantasyland.. and they do the park for children so a videogame about heart stealing dark creatures probably doesnt even cross they're minds

@Figscout They're planning on turning the Barnstormer into a newly themed ride to match the new stuff. That's what I've heard recently. I've heard a lot of changes have happened to what is described here, going lower budget and less girl-focused. Too bad, because at least this looked very high budget. Frankly though, what I'm most psyched about lately is the "Living Character Initiative" of more realistic park characters they've been making, like Remy, Lightning McQueen, & a talking Mickey.

I'm surprised that they didn't add anything for the princess and the frog. My little sister showed me that movie, and it was really good. And I heard that Princess Tiana was at the magic kingdom, (from DisneyParks' channel) so I was kinda surprised that they didn't have a little area or a ride for the Princess and the Frog.

Universal gets The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter; the most amazing themed land in any theme park with the most technologically advanced theme park attraction (Forbidden Journey).
Disney gets more princess meet & greets.
It is apparent that Disney is no longer the pioneer company in the industry. Walt never imagined a day when his parks would have to alter their plans and make adjustments just to keep up.

Also, I'm going to miss Toontown. I wish they would just move it to Disney Hollywood studios where the Animation section is or something. It did need work, but they shouldn't get rid of Toontown. Move it and add the Roger Rabbit ride (at the very least), plus move the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor to where it belongs, Disney Hollywood Studios or a new Energy section of EPCOT. They could've upgraded EPCOT with PIXAR themeing a lot more than just having Nemo. FutureWorld really needs help these days.

Wow, I can't believe I hadn't heard about all this till today! Too bad it won't be ready by my next visit, which will be next year. It does suck that it seems to be mostly meet 'n' greet and only one really new ride. Plus, looks like it will be more awkward than ever for a childless adult to get a photo with the princesses, something I have yet to do. Looks like it will be gorgeous though. I'm a HUGE Tink and Ariel fan, so, wow! But I thought Pixie Hollow was already up?

@slave2moonlight Disney has announced they are changing their plans somewhat from what was announced here, but most of what you see will happen. They haven't given details yet.
There is an area called Pixie Hollow, but what they're talking about here is an expanded version. But who knows if that's still in the plans.

I'm dying to get a photo with both of my top fave dreamgirls, Ariel and Tink, even if YouTube singer (and another dreamgirl of mine) Sarah Daniels no longer plays Tink there.

Come to think of it, by judging how many cheers these attractons received compared to the rest, I doubt they'll dare taking them off, the public will be very disappointed.

Yeah, I can't believe they removed their cute little houses, but hopefully they will move them to Disney Hollywood Studios or something. Anyway, I loved the princesses in a guy crushing on them sorta way, so I am not against more princess stuff, but I think it shouldn't just be aimed at little kids. Meet and greets should be childless adult-friendly and drop the arts and crafts kids can do at home. Also, add rides.

If the Disney Imagineers left Disney World the way it was when it opened, then they'd have out-of-date attractions (and characters at that!). They have since confirmed the changing of plans since this video was posted. The Imagineers agreed that this concept was geared mostly to young girls, and need to aim more at all groups. Which is cool IMO. Google it.
