Yes we had big stereo cabinet hi-fi also. It was the only thing decent my father ever bought. Mom played this albums over and over and over to the point that at age ten I could sing the words ( not vert well mind you)

Amazing how very few people made a big deal of his death. He was such a big part of my life growing up. I remember hearing him often as I'm sure so many people my age did. No one should forget him and we should all keep his memory alive. Thanks Joe for doing that.
Jimmy Roselli was a great Italian crooner. It's a shame that he had problems trying to make it to the top. It costs him many years to get back up there again. He knew had a put a song over the top. A great voice for a great guy. His music will live on in our hearts and souls for a long time to come. He is greatly missed.

Listening to this right now, I feel like a little boy with my family, my mom is still alive, and I can smell the tomato sauce cooking in the pot on the stove.
My dad had a list of favorites by Jimmy but this was mine. I made my dad translate the song for me as we sat on the sofa waiting for my mother to hurry with Sunday "gravy" so we could have a glass of wine and eat dinner. This guy filled our house every sunday with love and laughs...You make beautiful memories here Joe!

Another great song by Jimmy. Jimmy was on the Eric Hall show ( by phone) last week which is on BBC. Hall has a show with the great music and singers of the past. And he interviewed Jimmy and played five songs and Jimmy even sang a few lines on the phone from ( Pal of my cradle days) at 85 he is still very young.
