@destruction520 That's an ancient ThinkPad...it has an IBM logo on it, which hasn't been used since the T6x series. Go with a T420, and you'll be good.
My brother had once situation like this. He had mislayed his Nokia in the winter. When the spring came and the snow melted our neighbour came to us and asked "Is this your phone?". We were very excited when we plugged it to the charger and after all it worked almost all right (only the silence-mode didn't work). Nothing wins quality brands!
Funny story. I was working on my T30, cleaning off viruses and crap, and I was about to move it onto my lap and I accidentally knocked the shock absorber, and then I got the Blue Screen of Death. I was totally freaked. But after turning it on and off a few times, XP booted up, and everything worked. I was very happy!
Yeah thinkpads are awesome. My friend has a 10 year old one: Pentium 3 600mhz, 256mb of ram, 12gb hard drive, and ATI Rage Graphics (supposedly never heard of). The funny thing is, it can run Half life 2 on low fine! lol :P
