  • all i can say is WOW

  • Obama , bush and cheey are the two headed satans that ran the country into the ground with their sham wars and profiteering

  • Alex do yourself and the world a favor, rip up your Obama painting.

  • The people who disliked this are probably the same people who still believe the Earth is 6000 years old, and that Evolution is a 'myth'

  • LOVE Alex Grey's artistic perspective. The man is a genius.

  • I love Alex Grey.

  • 43 Dislikes!?!? Excuse me!?!? In the words of Michael Jackson, "That's ignorant, just ignorant."

  • I can't believe this; a painting that predicts what will happen in the future?

Does that mean that the seeds of that deed were planted along time ago?

I kept staring at this Gaia painting for a whole hour, not being able to turn my head around.

    The resemblance is disturbing.

I can't believe I've never heard about this befor.

Can someone tell me ; how is this possible?

Im not religious, nor spiritual but this really shook me up tremendously.

  • @miriamuSama I suppose we are like the sprouts of a seed. You can predict what a seed will grow into...yes?

  • @miriamuSama I'm not discounting it as a predictive vision but it can be explained away fairly easily from a rationalist perspective as well. If I look at it he has two birds on the left... the left half is happy, positive and represents the natural "hopeful" part... on the right is the fire and the negative... well as it's a symetrical image it makes sense for the planes to be in place of birds... they are not directed towards the tower just in the sky.

  • @miriamuSama ..continued... as for the towers... it would be weirder if he'd painted only the towers but actually he painted the new york skyline, probably the most famous skyline in the world which makes sense as what you'd replace a natural skyline with. He might even live there which would make it even less coincidental. The George Bush character looks only a bit like george bush and the link isn't even that good anyway as Bush didn't commit 9/11 in most people's opinion.

  • This man is a genius.

  • "I'm a painter, and... a mystic."

  • this guy TRIPS NUTS, love it

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! I hope you don't mind that I used this video in my recent blog post about Alex Grey. If you want to read it, the link is in my channel. :)

  • wow Alex Grey' is the one who paints all those pictures

they look very similar to what you see on my trips

  • I vote Alex Grey for president.

  • Much of the world is invisible and we know little about it. Guard your mind and where it goes. You may run high for a while, but those who exalt themselves will be humbled. Put your minds on things that are pure, good, and true, meditate on these things.

  • @FieldsofYaru "trying to stay high, bound to stay low, you want God but you can't deflate your ego. you're already there If you're cup's already full then its bound to overflow." - Matisyahu in the song King without a crown

  • so Alex says he hears a voice tell him one day etc... I ask him from whom and what voice does he hear? there are beings much more conscious than him that don't want us to know the Truth but rather falsify the world around us by floating our own egos into this quest for enlightenment and redirecting our minds to places that we may not have been meant to go. An ancient Holy book once said that the Evil one himself can disguise himself as Angels of Light.

  • many paths - same outcome

  • yea, Yoga/tai-chi Nazi... fuck off !!

  • you are my hero.

  • This guy is coming to Argentina to give an "intimate chat" (mind you he's not bringing any work with him) and is charging 170 USD, when there are lecturers, prominent people, who come from farther places and give lectures for free. I'm not saying he's the greediest fucker who's out to fill his pockets, that he controls the whole process of a visit to a country, but he could. He fucking could. Don't talk to me about transcending while I'm holding a 170 USD ticket to hear you say that.

  • Drugs can absolutely be a great facilitator of mystical experiences and open doors to the spiritual path for people who otherwise may never have gone that way. Such was certainly the case for me. But they have their limits. If tripping out all the time was really the best path, then the world would be full of millions of enlightened old hippies, and that is obviously not the case. It is easy to get hooked on drugs as just another experience. "Get the message, hang up the phone." -Alan Watts

  • when someone says the right way to be. you know they are not very wise. there are many right ways. if you expand your mind you may lose your ego. easy and hard is a perspective. if you did lsd you would know that. :o)

  • @MrMagicdreamer agree, all ways are right! we all have our own truth.

  • @1:11 ~9:11

  • man i study art, and this is still weird

  • Thanks for this.

The art of Alex has a verry deep meaning to me.

And it is a paradox that someone whit "Grey" name, make so much and living colours

  • i love you alex grey. you can translate your thoughts so well into art

  • Alex Grey Australian tour = MASSIVE FAIL. Asked to pay over $60 to wait for over an hour and half. Alex spent the first 1.5 hours signing autographs. This is what I paid my premium for? Very disappointing. Felt cheated by the organisers who siphoned money from dedicated fans. If you wish to hear Alex speak, dial up youtube instead. Why should we pay money to watch Alex sign autographs? Selfish and rude!

  • @iamleothelioness didn't hear anything good from people that saw him for free at RSF either, sounds like he is more a painter than a speaker.

  • @solconnection2

haven't seen you speaking anywhere sonny. just a thought.

  • @Cylixx3 so I have to be an expert in the field I am critiquing in order to have any right to opinion? only directors may criticise movies? only musicians may criticise music? only chefs may offer a negative opinion on the food they just consumed? just a thought :)

  • @solconnection2 your critic is fine, but you should be aware that critic should be based on your own experiences. Someone who never had a piece of a choclate cake can describe how it tastes. so be carefulll

  • @Muppetsturm sure, point taken, i was just passing on what i had heard from others, much like people pass on restaurant or movie reviews they have been told about without having personal experience with them first. It's still a valid review, just doesn't carry as much weight.

  • @iamleothelioness I love some of Alex's work.. but i think the money aspect began corrupting him a long time ago. The Obama painting for example.. really? Did he honestly believe Obama would be a "world leader", or was this just a chance to cash in on a "fresh" political figure in desperate times? The annoyingly large white borders around his posters with his name in big letters is another hint i feel..

  • @shrunkensimon Yeah - I would say he is the perfect example of a Boomer FAIL

  • Such powerful work to see in person!

  • I would love to visit the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors. The place is amazing!

  • People always compare reaching alternate realities through psychedelics versus reaching alternate realities through meditation/yoga/etc, but why compare the two when you can use them together?? =)

  • by a DICK

  • 1:22 best part.

  • all my seriousness went away right after he loudly said "uh.....DICK"

  • I dont know how it happens but is possible to have a vision of the future. He thousands years ahead of many minds, many consciousness see his art and compreheend, many get terrified and dont understand

  • This guy is my hero, along with terrance maccena, and all the members of Tool ill throw Billy Howerdel in there to. lol

  • @hometown555 dont forget bill hicks now,

  • yessir...your art..trips me the F out

  • please the name of the paint sec. 0:35 is amaizing and i don´t found ...thak you soo much

  • I think Alex Grey is being used by poeple or powers from another world

or he's representing another Unseen spritual world

  • this sucker knew about 9/11 as many others. many artists suggested it.

  • @tuump have you ever heard about akashic records , anyone can acces it , many people saw before the tragedy happened, like einstein said time is relative, in another dimension theres no difference between , past present and future, all is energy, all is conected .Matter is nothing but energy condensed , the universe is mental not physical

  • @danilasad you are mentally retarded

  • @tuump why do you think so my friend?

  • Is it me or does Alex sound a bit like Terrance McKenna?

  • OK. thanks! `guess I should say than... there is timeless corridor between the mirrors. Which means I wasnt so wrong before either.:):):)

  • then...what stays between the mirrors? The endless corridor ?

  • Comment removed

  • Time is the next illusion. There is only 'Now'. We invented 'Time' to measure the spaces between the 'apparently' separated elements ie, it takes x time to move z distance...but because in Reality there are no separate moving parts lol - there is really no such thing as time to measure them.

Just the way it seems to me...after lots of 'observation and study'

  • @ Bui2 thats a fantastic piont you make yes everyone is a mirror for each other, thank you so much!

  • visions = excellent LSD trip

  • god this guy is pretentious, beautiful paintings, was really dissapionted with the obama one though.

  • @TheNeckochan

    Mirror Mirror...

  • i bought this dude's medallion :)

  • surrounded by a dick, as in Dick Cheney perhaps.

  • Amazing art

  • amazing!

  • most impressive artwork and some interesting philosophy...

  • acid?

  • Wow! That's funny... by a....Uh...DICK!

  • I would love to paint like this guy WOW hes been given gods paint brush :O)

  • Natural LSD! lol...Awesome art.

  • Tolteka..:)

  • the depth of the human understanding is as infinite as the universe. the universe is accessible as the pathways you create through your soul and mind's eye.

  • smug weirdo..

  • @VirtageBass you are obviously on a threshold no where near the mind of this man. who are you to say what he is saying isn't real, at least to him, in his mind. Look at his art, only brilliance can create that, you smug weirdo.

  • This guy is fuckin mind blowing

  • Busy Work Painting. Bright Overworked kitsch. His images are based on White Powders. His profound meditations always lead back to frozen Religious Icons and symbols. I heard a voice tell me.....lets go backward and just imitate Hinduism or Buddhism.

  • This man is an enlightened being...I am in constant awe of his art!

  • i wanna get a tattoo of his art, probably the oversoul piece

  • 2:16 Wow, I realized the exact same thing he's talking about yesterday while trying to sleep.

  • Acid trip anyone?

  • Comment removed

  • It was a dick. Like vice president DICK Cheney

  • @MisterBrostep Good jobbbb. Seriously.

  • @xXBronzedBalletXx

    Lmfao!

  • AMAZING

  • acid, lsd, shrooms - easy way to go.

yoga, tai-chi, meditation - hard and right way to be !

  • @AppDiggers Whats wrong with doing both and get even further and I take you havnt been down the sacred plant road.

Why in this fucked up world people still can not be happy and let other people do there own thing and not give it a thought I will never know

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @AppDiggers oookk... first of LSD=ACID, secondly why its the right way to be the meditation, tai-chi etc? The nature isnt?? You tell us that something already is here to be consumed and react with us is the wrong way to be?!I think is just one more arrogant way to think of us!I dont say that meditation is wrong but is just one more different rode to take, and humans that have awareness of this possibilities they have the right to choose there way to be!Nothing is wrong nether of these 2 ways!

  • @tzifly Good and bad as well as right wrong are on the same spectrum, its just how you view it. When you become identified with one end of the spectrum and label it "right" then you create the illusion of duality. Dont be offended by what AppDiggers is saying. He only means that anything that can be achieved through drugs can be reached through meditation. With drugs there is the substance and the body but in meditation it is only the body. Choose your path with awareness.

  • @AppDiggers So both of them give you the same experience, the same ego desolve.. but theres a right way? Why not go both ways, just like Alex grey? Why is there have to be a right way? Meditionen is supposed to stop that kind of bullshit thinkning as seeing everything as aboslute, 100% and right.... but obviously not!

  • @giovani78 Exactly.

  • @AppDiggers not right or wrong. two different things.

  • @AppDiggers Dont forget DMT :)

  • Comment removed

  • @AppDiggers Yeah, it seems silly that all these plants are on earth and made of the same stuff would be here to assist us. Id rather meditate and take 40 years to walk on water than take the ferry.

  • @AppDiggers that might be the right way for you. and from my experience, drugs and meditation take you to very different places and cause very different effects. I think meditation and that sort of techniques are very powerful and important, but not even closely remote to the impact of SOME entheogenic substances. Oh, and acid and lsd are the same thing btw. Open your mind

  • @AppDiggers there is no right way... meditation and psychedelic drugs have synergistic effects on the mind. there are people who have the desire to meditate after undergoing a psychedelic experience, but would never otherwise have had any interest.

  • @GrifsRiffs perhaps psychedelic drugs is the first step. next step is up to particular person and his/her intellectual abilities. whether to understand u wanna do drugs or you want to meditate! they don't want to meditate, they want psychedelic experience NOW and every day in a row. as our history shows, in majority people are ............ and lazy. which is clearly were notice between 1960-1970 (hyper active years). and now i see these ex-hippies on methadone program.

  • @AppDiggers right just because it's harder? that's retarded, these plant substances were here before we were, maybe for a reason maybe not.

it's comparable to say: taking bus or biking to yoga studio - easy way, military crawl to yoga studio - hard and right way

nature provided us shortcuts, why not use em (plants are way to go, not refined substances)

ps acid is just slang for lsd

  • @AppDiggers

Psychedelics: "Easy way to go"? Easy?

I cant believe a statement this ignorant got voted to the top of the comments section. Before political organized religion there was spirituality, shamanism interdimensional experience through our use of these enthogens. Most likely, these experiences are the fundaments of all religious concepts. Why put yoga and other diciplines up "against" the psychedelics? Why create a false dividing line? That sounds like new age nonsense to me.

  • @JJTakeItAway I agree wholeheartedly. In fact, Christian Rätsch says in "Psychoactivity: The Fountain of Culture" that the Nepalese shamans tell a story of how Shiva created yoga, meditation and psychedelic tripping in unison.

  • @AppDiggers

yes and prayer as well. we know very little of this world. let the Great Spirit, Our Father in Heaven guide us on True paths.

HOLY MOTHER FUCK I LOVE THIS GUY!

HES LIKE AWESOMENESS PERSONIFIED. his art is SUPER trippy

that is such an amazing coincidence! wtf he totally had like a prophetic vision of 9/11, and its so comical, but also very disturbing because its possibly true that george bush was actually in on 9/11

  • I wonder if this guy has experimented with DMT or other hallucinogenics. Awesome work. The human mind is way more powerful than many understand.

  • that guy is cool as fuck

  • they should have played a quiet/trippy song of Tool on the back...

  • Supa + supa :) and good luck.

  • 1:24

  • Very enjoyable, thank you.

  • Interesting. I will go view his art. Lets see what that's about.. I have always wanted to go since I first saw his work 3 years ago, however I wanted to make sure I had enough information to discern what I see properly. I thikn I may almost be ready to go... thanks for the information on this video.

  • I'm thinking of getting the third eye tattoed on maybe my upper back or wrist. I plan on using the ink that allows the tattoo to glow in the dark.

  • WOW... saw the most amazing video with Alex an his wife... Hes towards the end.. ... He must have done it a while ago... Its awesome... Its called Now or Never Free Tibet on youtube..

  • in new york city.

  • where is this Chapel of mirors

  • how awesome the best artist and the best band working together

  • It might just be me only, but putting a face and voice to Alex Grey really doesnt add up in my brain. Its like my brain doesnt allow it to humanize. Its like my brain says "no, the grass is not green its something else"

  • alex grey is the fucking man

  • When i was 16 i took some Lsd and had similary effects when i closed my eyes...wonderfull calaidoscopic colours... :)

  • i had a dream in 2000 i think...i dreamed that passanger jets were flying over the ocean into the usa....after that missiles followed in the blue sky. i felt it was something terrible. the sky was peacefull and the missiles were white/ american styled cruise missiles but there were flying back to the USA. i couldnt see what was happening behind the ocean but i feklt it was an attack....

  • lmao surrounded by a dick

  • @haaay178 lol...

  • @haaay178 I laughed at that too- was so not expecting him to say that... lol XD This guy is a genius =)

  • i know huh! xD right in the middle of a serious talk lol and he actually said "dick" instead of like, penis or phallus or something :P i love alex grey

  • @haaay178

well he has to say "Dick" since he is making a direct correlation to thepeople surrounding Bush, hence "Dick Cheney" which makes his vision all that much more bizarre and intriguing.

  • @DNBGuRu ohhh..yeah dick cheney. he's a dick.

  • @haaay178 as said above I think he was referring to "Dick Cheney" who seems quite grotesque in his worldly operations.

  • so this guy painted this before things actually happened?

  • yes. it was painted in '89

  • so fucking chill

  • Hey, If you like Salvia Divinorum you should search for " Salvia Divinorum Distribution Project " on here or google to get a free cutting

    cya

  • He did not paint that before 9/11...i don't believe that its just too good to be true.

  • How about you do research on your own before you judge only because of what you "think"

  • 100000000000/5 I felt in love with his arts;) Tell me pls, what is the title of these songs at the background? Especially first; I can not remember...;/

  • ALEX GREY GET SO HIGH

  • he has a gallery called the chapel of sacred mirrors, check it out

  • SIX STARS !

  • he is fucking brilliant

  • yeah right "certain moments" his visions come form DMT & LSD :D

  • Not a big arts fan, But this guy is amazing. Does he have an exerbition somewhere where we can view his artworks?

  • I have a print of his hanging over my bed, and have seen a gallery showing of one of his series of 12. Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

    -Ryan

  • MASS RESPECT! YOUR AWESOME.

  • Great Job! Congratulation Alex!!

  • surrounded by a...uh...DICK!

  • a lot of blessings to him

  • did every thing just taste purple?

  • Alex Grey is hands down one of the greatests artist of all time. i am an artist and have always felt that art was meant to be a form of communication as well. he has the great talent of being able to show us that the mind and soul transcend the flesh. that blows a pretty painting of flowers out of the water anytime.

  • @JadeInBlack777 Alex Grey, Chet Zar, Salvador Dali, Robert Conett, greatest artists of all timie

  • Agreed! big fan of Chet and Dali, too!

  • wiseman

  • I believe this is at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in Wappingers Falls, New York.

  • no this video is older than that, it was filmed at the original CoSM in NYC

  • Alex Grey is the Da Vinci of our time. His work will continue to mindfuck us for centuries to come. where is this museum? is this his house or can i put "going there" on my bucket list. lol

  • You can add going there on your list because he has a sanctuary in upstate NY that you can visit =)

  • 0:37

  • so youre telling me that he drew all that before it happened..? what the hell..

  • I think that he's very wise. I understand what he's trying to tell us, and I agree.

  • He painted a mutant bug penis !

    what the hell ?

two planes, the twin towers, a terrorist, and George Bush with a huge deformed, mutant, alien, insect COCK, AMAZING !

    ahahahaha

  • he likes psychecelics
