Always loved this song along with ode to billyjoe but harper valley would have been much funnier,better and realistic if she would've said "this is just alittle peyton place and you're all are harper valley piece of sh.ts"....But i'm aware of the times when this song was a big hit and it never in those days would've gotten air time on the radio so never would've been a hit,movie etc. so let's be thankful they stayed with hypocrites but i think we all know what they meant!!
