  • As an RM I often watch this video and memories of my own mission come to play. Thank you.

  • OOOOHH!! ES TAN GRANDE LA OBRA DE DIOSSSS :)

  • I am so proud of all the missionaries they have a love for everyone that others can't understand!

  • Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (JOHN 14:6)

  • I love this video!! It been on Youtube long time. I used to play this vid for my niece when she was a baby (now she 4yrs). I'm a convert so I love missionaries! I still stay in contact with lot of missionaries! Today one of my Branch missionaries is going home =o Being a missionary is hard work but touches lives of so many people!!

  • @maquis1911 Sorry to hear of your illness. I hope you recover soon .

  • it's good to be a mormon.....i love you GOD

  • a couple missionaries just came to my house... eh. i'm trying to find vids bout wat this religion is about but all i can find is disproving Mormonism.

  • @Palafico3: Haters are gonna hate, they're all over the internet. Visit mormon dot org, or on YouTube you can visit the YouTube User page: "mormonmessages."

  • @Palafico3

You can go to Mormon .org or lds.org for more information on our religion. :)

  • @Palafico3 I'm a convert to the LDS Church and one of the best books on the subject is A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, by LeGrande Richards. It helps explain the doctrines of the church using both the Bible and The Book of Mormon.

  • @Palafico3 It's an awesome faith man! I believe it is the most true. (But you can believe whatever you want). The Missionaries, the Jehovah Witnesses, the Catholics, anyone, can tell you what they think is right. But you, yourself have to find that truth in your heart. Best of luck to you!

  • @Palafico3

see what they have to say and find out for yourself. i was a mormon missionary for 2 years and it was the greatest thing speaking to people with open minds! see what they have to say!

  • @Palafico3 For a treat go to Andreas Bocellies best song ever. With the Mormon Tabernacle Chior, BEAUTIFUL! iF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CHURCH DROP A NOTE. BE GLAD TO HELP

  • @Palafico3: well lds.org is a very good site that is actually set up for our church (Mormon= The church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints)

  • :D I LEAVE ON MY MISSION FEB.16TH!!!! SOO EXCITED!

  • i just returned from my mission, loved it! i would do anything to do it over again. you can never be happier than being able to see others change by living the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • The first pic that shows is from the Philippines... awesomeness!:D

  • South Carolina Columbia Mission FTW!!!! although i need to finish it still (i came home early for knee surgery) which sucks!!!,but I saw so many wonderful things happen out there i love it Great people in SC who need the gospel still!!!

  • Whatever one might think of Mormon doctrine, this system of sending out these way too young elders is an excellent way of solidifying the commitment of young (or rather elder) people's commitment to the church. I think that my Church should adopt a similar program for evangelizing through young people.

  • @VictorLepanto

Dear God not more of you..

  • I love haveing the Elders over for dinner. Just the sweet Spirit that they bring into our home is worth it. <3 x)

  • Love the words on this song! Great video, too!

  • Wow, makes me miss and long for the mission life! That was a time in my life where I loved everyone that I came in contact with even the anti-Mormons! ROFL!

  • I think religion is just a waste of time and money but many missionaries are so happy and devoted to their duties i almost envy them. Oh well at least they get to learn a foreign language.

  • @Ryosuke1208

You can have the same happiness if you so desire.

  • @Ryosuke1208, yes, learning a foreign language is a big plus. Like all the missionaries who get called to the Provo, Utah mission all get to learn to speak "Utahn" and develop a love for fry sauce. *wink*

  • this makes me cry every time i see it. im so grateful to the missionaries that knocked on my door years ago. thank you for making this video. its beautiful and they deserve it!

  • This was such a good video. It made me miss my missionary, and almost made me cry, but also reminded me what a great work those guys are doing out there! There is absolutely nothing better they could be doing at that time of their life! My sister is also on a mission, and she's grown so much from it. She only has 4 months left. I know that missionary work is one of the reasons we're here! Sharing what we know with others and giving them a chance to accept it is so important!

  • this video made me miss my 2 years in Philippines Quezon City Mission

  • James 2 (Read the whole chapter 1-26)

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Matt. 7: 21 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

  • grace by faith.

  • Thank God for the Mormon Missionaries. Let the ends of the earth hear the Truth and then let the end come, and we shall only wait and see the truth of all things. From an indigenous Australian Convert.

  • Thanks brother for this wonderful video...Greetings from Philippines

  • Members of the Nashville stake gathered supplies for more than 1,200 hygiene kits that were donated to the Red Cross for distribution.

Hundreds of Church volunteers gathered in flood-stricken neighborhoods cleaning up muddy debris. Almost anything that was touched by the floodwaters was ruined. Every ward had work crews out daily. Members worked side by side with people of other faiths.

  • Bless to all LDS Missionaries arond the world...................god work Heldersssssss

  • I love the work missionaries do. You can truly feel the spirit with every lesson. I love everything they stand for. :)

  • Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.

    Galatians 1:7 - 8

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

  • Ephesians, like it: How precious is the grace of Christ. Our works can merit nothing, but they are a manifestation of who and what we have become through conversion to Jesus Christ and His gospel.

Galatians, like it: As taught in Revelation 14:6, an angel sent from God will always bring the same gospel (good news) that was delivered by Christ and His apostles: the gospel of repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, the Living Son of God.

  • Couldn't agree with you more about Ephesians.

The passage you quoted from Revelation however is talking about in the end when God reveals himself. Galatians is referring to "until then."

  • The problem here is that even the BOM clearly says that it is grace alone that is sufficient for salvation. Works aren't mentioned that way.

  • @sandrock605

    James 2:14

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?

    James 2:17&18

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

  • @sandrock605 Amen,i testify to that as a former Mormon, now a Christian.

Shame the Christian people aren't as nice and as kind as the Mormon people. Gosh I miss the Mormon Church so much, I wish it were true.

  • @sandrock605 Yes, without grace of Jesus Christ works are dead, just like the rungs of a ladder are worthless without the railing

  • @sandrock605 According to the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ, of Latter-Day Saints, we ARE saved by the grace of Christ. Mormons do NOT believe that our works save us. Mormon's believe our works matter, but they do NOT save us. Christ is the Judge, and it is only by Him and through Him that we are saved.

  • President and Sister Samuelson address Brigham Young University devotional assembly

  • I love being a full-time missionary. Its one of the best callings Ive ever had in my entire life. Love the song,

  • NAUVOO, Ill. — As the covered wagon moves slowly along an otherwise-deserted street, a crisp autumn breeze blows in off the Mississippi River. What leaves still on the tree limbs rustle while the wagon's passengers huddle beneath the quilts and blankets they've been given to keep warm.

  • okay this is probably posted but a link to how to get this song or an artist please..Thanks oh and be good to the missionaries I am so grateful I was and am now a member.best years of my life.

  • "Stand For God" on the album titled "Whatever It Takes: Music to Inspire & Strengthen Youth." You can find it online at LDS audio websites.

  • Great video! Love to see the Missionaries at work! 5*****

  • I can't wait to serve my mission!!

  • I love you missionaries thanks for everything

  • Have you ever heard a returned Elder say that his mission was the best two years of his life--while his wife was within hearing range?

  • haha...my friend...the mission was the most beneficial two years of my life but it certaintly wasn't my best two years.

  • LOL nice call :) I loved my mission though, more than any other time of my life

  • someone can write the lyric please?...sorry if you don't understand because i'm from tahiti and i'm not very well in english...but i'm mormon

  • i thought it was only the guys who go on a mission not girls.

  • Yes! While the majority of LDS Missionaries are young men, both men and women can serve, as well as married couples (usually older, when the kids have moved out of the house and they've retired).

  • Girls are given the opportunity to serve missions as well, but unlike guys, they have to be 21 and older.

  • @musicgirl999

my bff is a girl and she was a missionary, yet her hubby is related to one of the starters of the church and he did not go...wierd right?? anyway do check out his cuz

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG

  • "Stand For God" from the CD titled - Whatever It Takes: Music to Inspire and Strengthen Youth"

  • The best two years! Loving God, and loving your neighbors.

Building your testimony is key. Pray for guidance and study. Make your weakness your strength, and never be afraid to ask God for answers to anything you struggle with. The gospel can stand up to any scrutinizing you choose.

    STUDY, PRAY, TESTIFY!

    God speed.

  • i am a returned missionary as well and loved every moment of the mission. it had become the best 18 months of my life and i'd go back anytime to see ppl change. I <3 miissionary work and love missionaries!!! good luck to all future missionaries that are, that will, and that have serve.

    REMEMBER: DON'T GO APOSTATE!!

  • Now that's good advice.

I remember vividly all those mornings I woke up and told myself, "Today's the day I'm going to go apostate."

If only I could have had your advice ringing in my ears!

  • oh i just love missionaries!

  • la mision es lo mejor son los mejores 2 años de la vida es una gran etapa en la vida

  • I have served a mission in the Philippines Manila Mission from 1996 to 1998 and it has been the most memorable moments of my life. If I could only turn back the hands of time. It was a blast! I miss all of my companions and all of investigators. I miss all of them.

  • This makes me way excited to go on a mission. I am leaving in December!! thank you!

  • bookerz312: I wish you all the success in completely finishing your mission. You will have the best two years of your life.

  • my aunty is on a mission this is her last year

  • My big brother is on a mission.....AND COMING HOME IN SEPTEMBER =]

I have great respect for these missionaries. They do amazing things.

  • waaaaa!!!i cried..huhuhuhu:(( very inspiring..im a youth here in the philippines...i just passed the byu exams last month and im preparing and planning on serving a fulltime mission there..I will be most blessed if i could spend my years there in serving the Lord..:)

  • I have to wait my bus the 31 december 2008 and, 2 Elders: Elder Cunche and Elder Howell, my life changed, Now, I'm in the very church, my bautism was a 15 february 2009, I love the verity restaured by the prophet : Joseph Smith, I love our president Manson, I love my beshop the members of the LDS that's like a big sunshine. Thanks Elders and Soeurs for to be all around the word.

  • Hi Jade,

Can I know where you are living ?? Cause I have a member of my family serving a mission now and his name is Cunche ....

  • i cant frekin wait less than a year to go now, actually i can put my papers in as early as december '09,south america(i know im going there.

  • AWESOME VIDEO !!!!

  • I went on a mission. It really was not a sacrifice at all, it was the greatest blessing I could have ever received. It was hard of course sometimes but I learned so much and met so many amazing people.

I learned a lot about myself as well as a lot about the world and the people in it. I would never take back that year and a half (sisters serve 18 months).

P.S. I always appreciated people being respectful to us even if they did not want to hear our message.

  • I really like the song choice here!! I look uo to all the missionaries of our Church!!

  • My brother's Goin ON A MISSION!!!!!!!

    YES!!!!

  • wow

    sin palabras

  • I always try to be polite to Mormon missionaries. Most of them are nice kids. Why lose your temper with people who are essentially harmless?

And I even offer to convert to their religion! Of course, I state that my terms for converting are $35 million ( net, in cash up front )and full ride scholarships(tuition, room, board, books, and a $500/month stipend) to Brigham Young University for all of my kids.

No cash or scholarships?--then, no conversion. That usually sends them on their way

  • there are so many people out there that just dont get why mormans a.k.a lds are trying or are willing to give up 2 years with out getting paid for it i am a morman all my life and vids like this dont show it all they get alot of doors slamed in their face but they keep tryin these guys and gals are awesome

  • u really love your comment on this video. A mission means more when you work hard towards it. To give up 2years to serve the Lord is the Best Two years. Something means more when you pay for it yourself, well its the same for a mission you pay for yourself, it means more to you and the people you teach.

  • they are the nicest people in the world. they donate two years for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ without payed. and they help a lot of people even for those who are not members. i love them so much and i'll continue to pray for them everyday.

  • i became mormon about a month or two ago, but when i wa younger i could care less about religion, mormons, or whatever. until i met this one missionary. we invited him and his companion over for dinner a couple times and they told us about the book of mormon, what missionaries do, and joseph smith. then they gave us the book of mormon and asked us to read it and prey about it and stuff. and now.......... im mormon thanks to that missionary!

  • nice... faithful to serve..

  • wow Mike, what a great video I look forward to looking at the rest of yours...

  • This was a beautiful video. My son is serving a mission in Lansing, Michigan (been out for 6 months) and this reminded me of the selfless work he and all the other missionaries do.

  • que hermosa es la obra misional y cuantas bendiciones trae a los que la hacen llenos del espiritu de nuestro señor!!!! espero algun dia tener la oportunidad de servir a mi padre!!

  • I'll try to read your bible continuly, as you guys said: 'If you want to find out the truth, read the book and pray by yourself and your will know it' ha ha. Good night

  • why did he try to help us in the most efficient way? Well, I knew this is the old question, and maybe we shouldn't think or judge God in our 'human' leveled brains.

  • I don't think I completely understand your question, about God helping us in the most efficient way. Help me better understand your question.

  • that's the most cleaver answer I've ever heard, you are awesome. No wonder , you've been a missionarie for 2 years and you really did a lot of research. I really appreciate your answer and I would stand for you if I was a mormon. But my point was, if God wanted to save us, if he really wanted to help us, why did he help us in the mostly acceptable way?

  • Thanks a lot for your patient response, I really appreciate that. I'll take your advice and continuly doing some research of my own, and bring my questions to you if necessary in the future. Have a good day!

  • If God also has flesh made humain body just like ours, then can we consider that he was once human? And if he was, who was his father? How did everything begin? thank you

  • Haha, now you're getting into "the mysteries," things we don't have all the answers for. No one knows for sure how everything began, or who God's father is or what have you.

  • By the way, I also don't understand why would God ask the goldish plates back? If he had nicely left them to us, I'm sure millions and millions people would like to believe in your religion without any problem.

  • Many people wonder why the angel took the plates back. Many people have come up with their own conclusions. I tend to believe that it is because, as the Bible says, "we walk by faith, not by sight." If we had such heavy-handed evidence, it would eliminate the need for faith. God did permit many to see the plates and bear witness of them. Even some of these witnesses left the Church, but never denied what they saw.

  • Even if we did have the plates, it would not prove that what was written in them was true. Just the same as the writings in the Bible cannot be proven to be true, such as the miracles. Only city names and historical people can be identified, but the stories cannot be verified as true. It takes faith to believe in the words of the scriptures. Many people reject the teachings of the Bible.

  • But how could some acient egypt authority scients said his translations were all wrong, and also said it's not possible to extended that original scrolls more than 2 pargraphes? And how is that your authorities from church never made any clear comments about it? I will try to find that book you recommended me to read, but I don't think I could. I'm in France now that's how I met some missionaires, but in the main land China it's impossible.

  • Because the critics don't understand that the Book of Abraham did NOT come from the facsimilies/pictures. They came from much longer scrolls that have not been found.

  • Witnesses who saw Joseph translating the Book of Abraham say that Joseph translated from scrolls of Egyptian that extended down a long hallway.

  • Church authorities have spoken much about the Book of Abraham. Visit fairlds dot c o m and search in the search box in the upper right for "Abraham" you will find a result for "Book of Abraham topics" and you will find many articles about the Book of Abraham.

  • I would be happy to share some quotes and passages from that book I suggested since it may be difficult to find in France!

  • Yeah Mike your explaination made a lot of sense, but I don't know whether people had that technology to produce that kind light metal at that time. But thx for your response. And if you don't mind, may I ask another question: Do you really believe the translation of The book of Abraham which Mr. Smith translated? How did he understand acient egypt language in 19 centures.

  • Some ancient European and Mesopotamian cultures kept short records on metal plates, but extant examples are rare, have comparatively brief texts, and are extremely thin. A six-page, 24-carat gold book bound together with rings, written in Etruscan, was found in Bulgaria; and in 2005, an eight-page golden codex, allegedly from the Achaemenid period. Gold plates were definitely used for writing anciently.

  • Yes I believe the translation of the Book of Abraham as rendered by Joseph Smith. The original scrolls (which witnesses said extended the length of a hallway) have never been found, only the facsimiles. A great resource to understand how we got the Book of Abraham is a book titled "The Story of The Book of Abraham."

  • If the story was real, can anybody explain me how could Joseph Smith lifted that heavy goldish book? Think about it, according to the size in the book, no one can ever do that, and runing away from the bad men who were chasing for the book.

  • The witnesses and Joseph said the plates "had the APPEARANCE of gold" and never said they were solid gold. Likely they were some sort of lighter metal with an outer gold shell or gold leafing, as other ancient metal-inscribed books that have been found in antiquity are. This would make the plates much lighter.

  • Couldn't find this song online, and I couldn't find the CD. If this was a mormon song, I'm sure it's hard to find it in France

  • Go to ldsaudio dot c o m. Search for "Whatever It Takes - Music to Inspire and strengthen youth" it will show up in the result under "ALBUMS." The title of the song is "Stand for God"

  • poor victimes of a psychotic institution! theese youg kids save all their money to go somewhere they don't even know where and can't change this fact and waste time with things they wouldn't do... only to satisfy some church-people. do you call this honor?

  • "waste time with things they wouldn't do" What are you talking about? We know what we get into when embarking on a mission and we love it. I did for me and for my Savior Jesus Christ, not to satisfy church people. We don't choose where we go just like Paul didn't choose where he went...the Lord sent him. Jonah didn't choose to go to Ninevah, the Lord chose for him.

  • All the mormons I knew they are actually really good people.

  • I love the Missionaries so much!!!

  • Sweet video, thanks. :-)

  • I choose to believe too! and God helps me make that choice, the right choice! Thank you!

  • nice video brother!!!the Church is True!!thanks

  • Great Video it gets me inspired to serve my mission in New Zealand this January.

  • YAHHHHHHH!!! i cant wait for my calling also :) so as says the song which i really like "I can wonder but i choose to believe"

  • I can't find the name of this song. I don't see it anywhere on this page, and I can't find it on google by the lyrics. Someone help me!

  • "Stand For God" from the CD "Whatever It Takes: Music to Inspire and Strengthen Youth."

  • nice video my brother just got his call to the Tennessee Nashville Mission he repots next year feb 4th..... he's called spanish speaking.

  • Thanks for giving me the info, Mike!

  • cool video. cant wait for my mission

  • My brother is the guy that with two missionaries giving out substance to the needy...he is going to serve to Utah Ogden Mission 30th of December this year...proud of him!

  • Hi Mike Batie!! I love your videos that u posted. I have been going to the church for last 6 months and never be able to get baptize because of my parents. But everyday I say to myself that I will overcome this obstacles and will get baptized. I recently moved to Korea and feel that everywhere I go, the saints always stand out among others. I love THE CHURCH!!!

  • Just keep following what you know is true, and one day the Lord will open the door for you, and perhaps your parents will greatly benefit from the joy you find in the gospel and will see your good example.

  • genial

    :D

  • Missionaries are soming to my house next week to talk to my family and I =)

  • I am so thankful for missionaries and the wonderful service that they provide. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father had them share their inspired messages to me; that helped me truly seek my Heavenly Father in prayer. I forever greatful for him and for those that serve Him. I cannot wait to serve my Heavenly Father more fully on a mission. Thanks for the video it reminds me of my conversion story.

  • President Monson joined the US military at age 17 in 1945 because of World War II. During that time Mormon Missions were suspended. After the war Monson went to college. It wasn't until April 1974 that leaders began strongly encouraging all worthy young men in the LDS Church to serve a full-time mission. Pres. Monson is an exemplary person. Check him out on Wikipedia.

  • Mr. Monson did not serve a mission when he was young. He is not an exemple for no one.

  • Oh I can't wait to go on a mission! I married before I was 21, but I always look forward to serving with my husband later in life.

  • Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

  • Why did you abandon our conversation the other day? Nothing to say on your reference to Ezekiel? Or inverted pentagrams? Or supposed Baal?

  • No, I actually have plenty to say about your false LDS religion, but you weren't posting or answering all MY questions, so I'm not going to deal with someone who is willfully trying to deceive viewers who are actually seeking the truth about Jesus!

  • I believe I was, but perhaps I missed something. Go ahead and ask again. I do my best with what little spare time I have.

There is no deception going here. There is only the countering the misrepresentations people put out there about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I'm discovering that the posting of the truth is making the critics VERY unhappy.
