  • My My My such potty mouths, thats ok get it out of your system, they don't let you talk shit on other sites, they are very linient here which is fuckin'cool, but you shouldn,t bring religion in to anything, it is a persons right to there own beliefs and should not be condoned. And no one should make fun of other religions, doesn't mean you have to respect them, but don't be criticizing peoples beliefs, you all have beliefs too.

  • crazy never been through a tornado but a few hurricanes that did some good amount of damage

  • FREE movies ... WHOOOOPPPPEEEE !!!!!!!

  • 44 people don't have a heart. <3

  • The way people respond on these really shows their true colors. So many of you totally miss the point of these videos. I am from Kansas and small towns all over Kansas would react just the same. People here care for one another and want to see each other thrive. So many people who have never been here think we are all hicks and dumb, so ingnorant. It really makes me sad the way folks argue over such minute things. We like it here, we like our independance and solitude. We'll just keep it for us!

  • That's the wierdest well ever ! o.0

  • It never ceases to amaze me how many foul mouthed, degenerating youth and people of today argue and rant and rave, and disagree, and say"well, the one I went through was bigger" WHO GIVES A SHIT? They are almost all huge and have affectedpeople. Can't you people just shut the hell up and watch the videos without all the name calling, arguing, and immature ridiculous bullshit you all come up with? DAMN YOU KIDS TODAY AND YOUR MOUTHS AND LACK OF CONTROL! GROW-UPPPPPPPP!\

  • @navyservant Like my grandpap says - "Tell that gay mother fucking bastard to shut the fuck up"

  • friend of mine was actually there..twister took half his house and he nearly died

  • Damn it, they better leave those coins at the bottom of that well alone!

  • Mediocre low end documentary, 2 out of 10. Sloppy interviews that lingered way too long. Would have been nice to have more interviews with people who experienced the tornadoes. Understand older people wanting to rebuild the town but the younger ones should use this disaster as an opportunity to escape. Town was dying before the storm hit.

  • It does the heart good to know there are such fine people in the world. God bless Greensburg and its people.

  • I have moved north of Greensburg, cant afford to live in town. $700.00 and up for rent of a small appartment, crazy. There is nothing here....

  • What are you going to do when the next tornado throws those turbines 100 miles & drops them on a walmart full of shoppers somewhere?

  • @KenMacMillan idk and lol

  • most devastating storm in american history? yeah right. hell the 1991 andover F5 was stronger

  • @thesportsdude90 Just because it was stronger doesn't mean it caused the amount of damage this did to greensburg. It took out almost the whole town!

  • @bluebelt224 so did the parkesburg iowa EF5. It's easier to do that to an extremely small town.

  • @jvahdani JUST SO YOU KNOW I WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING NO NEED TO GET FREAKIN DEFENSIVE OK? SO CALM YOUR SH*T CUZ ITS UNCALLED FOR SERIOUSLY. IT WAS A TERRIBLE TORNADO. I DID I WENT THROUGH THAT TORNADO. SO EFF OFF!! LEAVE GREENSBURG BE! WE ARE BETTER AND MORE GREEN ANYWAY--

    HAVE A NICE LIFE..

  • GET UR FACTS RIGHT! MAY 3RD OKC WAS LARGEST MOST POWERFUL AND DEVSASTATING IN AMERICAN HISTORY 316MPH WINDS! OVER 40 KILLED AND 1.1 BILLION DAMAGE! UR IS ACTUALLY SMALL COMPARED TO THAT! I KNOW CAUSE I WAS IN IT! THEREFORE NO NEED TO WATCH THIS BUT BRIAN SCHODORF, REWRITE UR DESCRIPTION BC THATS FALSE ! T.Y.

  • @jvahdani Um... you do know this shit was made in 08 right? calm the fuck down.

  • gosh thats scary :O

  • detroit has looked like that for decades, when is it gonna be rebuilt?

  • @brandenbrownlie detroit is full of foreclosed homes. not destroyed homes

  • @omnos7777777 I'm guessing you have never been to Detroit.

  • @brandenbrownlie yea a few times. i have friends and relatives there. i myself only live a couple counties away. the homes only look like crap because they haven't had owners for so long a.k.a foreclosure. another reason is because people in that area have made a business out of stripping the foreclosed houses of the plumbing, and various other profitable items to sell it for scrap.

  • @omnos7777777 Actually a lot of houses in detroit have been destroyed because stupid retards set fires to abandon houses.

  • This my first time seeing this video, and all i can say is there is a GOD and HE was with the people of Greensburg on that night! i don't see how any one lived thru that EF5 tornado and have the will to rebuilt, you have my blessings and prayers.

  • This my first time seeing this video, and all i can say is there is a GOD and HE was with the people of Greensburg on that night! i don't see how any one lived thru that EF5 tornado and the will to rebuilt, you have my blessings and prayers.

  • Largest tornado ever recorded? not so much.

  • @dragonridley largest recorded in the state

  • @dragonridley not that particular one they were saying that an EF5 is the largest recorded tornado in other words it hasn't gone higher than that

  • I'm someone who grew up in Ohio so tornadoes aren't all that common in my city, which sits in a valley. I've always had a huge fascination with tornadoes however, which was the reason I found this video. I just wanted to say to the people of Greensburg, the rest of the world is rooting for you. It was a terrible and tragic thing that happened, but you all are survivors. You all are AWESOME!

  • its so hard because of all the good memories i have of the old town and now they are nothing but memories and i can never go back into the house and i can never go back to my aunt house cause its all gone. So now its all new, but lucky we are able to start new memories.

  • CRA ZY tornado

  • I dont believe that God judges us by "allowing these things to happen, but by how we respond to these things that happen. An F4 Tornado must be a truly horrifying phenomenon like any other nature disaster, but the experience of I know is truly unique. I hope the people of Greensburg have recovered. God Bless

  • @tarmbruster1 E-F5

  • @omega6353 It's "EF-5" not "E-F5" (if we are making pointless corrections)

  • @tarmbruster1 Like my grandpap says - "Fuck you and your goddamn religion"

  • My mama used to say, if you can figure God out He isn't God. Why would God allow this to happen? Ask Job. I don't get it. But God is in charge and sometimes He challenges our faith, sometime really hard challenges like this. Will we still trust or will quit? I love you folks in Greensburg! You've done so well and bounced back. May God prosper you in every way!

  • i remember going to greensburg a few months after this and i cant believe the destruction i saw jesus it was devastating

  • @MGMTKIDZPK 4 i live in greensburg kansas and there is no city named Gardner? lol nice try tho.

  • I am very happy to see Greensburg come back to life. Maybe a little more tolerance as well? I am sure I am not the first to comment on this but I was bothered by the fact that the ONLY black person in this documentary was a NY Firefighter volunteering to HELP this devastated community. I am really curious to know if there were any black families living there before the storm? I did notice one lady and her son who seemed to be East Indian possibly? Here's to the youth of this new town...

  • EF is Enhanced Fujita scale upgraded from the F because of the advancements in radar, ie dopplar and nexrad among orthers just a more accurate measurements is all the EF means.

  • Regarding some of the comments below:

EF5 is not any bigger or stronger than F5, they are comparable with adjusted wind speeds that are now estimated more accurately.

I'm pretty sure a town of athiests could rebuild just as well as a town of religious folks.

In terms of size, Hallam, Nebraska 2004 is the biggest (widest) tornado at 2.4 miles (was rated F4). Actually the Greensburg EF5 wasn't even the widest tornado on this night, another EF3 was over 2 miles wide (Greensburg 1.7).

  • I was in Gardner, a city very close to greensberg. what a tragedy.

  • God is no respecter of man,he rains on the just and the unjust.

  • I was there

  • I have never seen such pride, spirit and sheer determination in a community such as this. One can't help but feel emotional for these people. I have most certainly have enormous respect and admiration for this community and its many wonderful people. It made me realize that no matter how much evil is in this world, there are angels among us.

  • This Tornado was not the biggest in history, April 3, 1974 an F5 hit Brandenburg, Kentucky. I was 12 years old and I watched it as it destroyed the school building in Irvington Kentucky before going to Brandenburg.

  • @haclaycomb EF5 is an enhanced ranking. The EF5 would have been bigger than an F5, in terms of wind speed and destruction.

  • @haclaycomb actually you are wrong by a long shot young man the largest in history in damage and death occurred in June 1925 a tornado formed in missouri and crossed into and thru illinois and ended in Indiana it's path of destruction was over 500miles and killed several hundred people and it averaged (from eye witness accounts) anywhere from 1.5 - 2.0 miles wide eye witnesses in Illinois said at times it looked liked the wall cloud was actually touching the tops of the taller trees.

  • @woo62909 Isn't that tornado known today as the tri-state tornado?

  • wow

  • This was a devastating storm but it wasn't the biggest or most powerful tornado ever produced by mother nature

  • wow

  • Man this was worse than the EF-5 that hit Wheatland, PA. I live up here, and it wiped out 3/4 of the town but not the entire town. Such resiliancy from the Americans that live there. Makes me proud to have served this country.

  • What's with all the long fucking comments? Lol.

  • So incredibly sad and inspirational. I'm making a road trip. Hell, I might even fall in love with the community itself and stay forever. The people are so nice and they care for each other. You can't say that about most places in the US. God bless Greensburg.

  • i live 2 counties away from greensburg, you should see how much progress they have made!!!

  • @musicrulez27 you mean states

  • @codyschenk3 no, i mean counties, i live about an hour and a half away from greensburg

  • I remember it like it was just yesterday, May 4th 2007 Me and my mom were going to go on a bike ride we were living in Hutchinson ,Ks about 50 miles north east of greensburg and i didnt want to go right then so i colored for a while then we went and we lived about half a mile from the bike trail and right as we got on the siren go and i remember that everyone was sayin greensburgs gone and i was so sad i was about 7

  • that is just plain sad

  • how pissed is god at them???

  • I drive from L.A. Ca, to Columbus Ohio each week driving a truck for FedEx. Each week I come into Greensburg, I am just amazed, how a town that had been demolished by this monster storm, has rebuilt its self to what it is today. To the people of Greensburg, you are amazing, you are the true midwest town! Your town looks better by each week, and I take my hat off to you, for standing by your community and not running off to another town/city.

Our hearts still go out to you today, years later!

  • @Agitate74 i cant find anything online that updates what has been going on with the rebuilding of Greensburg. yeah there are lots of stories on the whole green thing. i just mean some basic pics of the town in general and how it looks now compared to then. wanted to post them on facebook just so people from AL MS and GA could see that they can do it. they are not different, in this country we are cut from the same cloth. we persevere. but i cant find any basic pics from there.

  • @Agitate74 Great insight in your comments! It is the everyday people that are most important. Thanks for sharing.

  • ; jusst saying. i live here; I LIVE IN GREENSBURG. I Always Have; Andd Always WIll..andd glad to say; todayy is the 3rd year anniversary of it striking. we have had been rebuilding, our BRAND NEW School will be finished in 3 months; and most everybody has a house again; we all know that it'll take forever though. to replant all the trees; andd take forever to honestly clean it up; we still have many many, things to fix, and to rebuild, and to make whole again.

  • mann tornadoz are so scary to mee

  • @latinguy67

No- you're wrong. Nature's forces came together just so, and a tornado formed, and a town was in its path, and that town was struck and nearly entirely wiped out. It had nothing to do with the people, whom YOU have no right to judge.

  • @latinguy67 you're a stupid ignorant fool who needs to wake up and realize that those were not bad horrible people who got smited by some all mighty god! you are a self centered jack ass who has no right to judge anyone because that is not your job. if anyone is evil it's you for being such a closed minded fool.

  • @feroth33 I judge whoever I WANT

  • @latinguy67 yeah well good job cause if your christian then your god is going to send you to hell. read your bible and it'll tell you straight up that if you judge then you will be judged by him and then your screwed. btw nice come back. i bet my 7yr old niece could come up with a better one then that.

  • @feroth33 u better watch out or a tornado's gonna hit YOU!

  • @latinguy67 um yeah. i've been through tornadoes before and i respect them. i live in texas so it's nothing new. what i say and what i think does not cause forces of nature and if it did i'd make one would suck your ass up so fast it'd make your head spin. until you learn just how terrible a tornado can be and learn that "god" doesn't make them then you should keep your comments to yourself. grow up and gain some maturity.

  • @feroth33 ur in texas...explains it all

  • @latinguy67 that i'm smarter then you and actually know what i'm talking about? yeah i guess it does. why don't you try posting something that you can actually relate to? idk... how bout a big pile of shit?

  • @feroth33 well, i'm responding to you, hence the pile of s**t/

  • @latinguy67 i'm replying to your terrible comment you left about the whole god smiting them bull shit. that's a horrible thing to say to these people and you really need to grow up and learn to shut your mouth about things like that.

  • @feroth33 i can say whatever i want. who the hell died and made u boss? don't like it? too freaking BAD!

  • @latinguy67 too bad you act like a child other wise i'd take you seriously. i hope if i ever have kids they aren't hateful little shits like you.

  • @feroth33 All my would be children have been aborted. Too bad u weren't also

  • @latinguy67 well have fun in hell where you'll burn for murder. go fuck yourself you wanna be bad ass.

  • @feroth33 i'll see u there

  • @latinguy67 hahaha you wish.

  • @feroth33 no thanks. ick.

  • i feel sad for them i live in east TN i have never been in a tornado exept once in athens i was 9 i was scared now i have never seen one again i wanna se how the people their are doing now but i hear tornados arent common their but they get warnings i hope this never happens again i love greensburg greatr place to visit

    kansas greensburg no ef5 can't stop u

  • i helped rebuild the town it was gone basements were riped out of the ground it was sad

  • i am shocked so many people survived.

  • the town was is only a mile and a half wide the tornado was 1.7 wide

  • Looking at Kathleen Sebelius makes my skin crawl.

  • Greensburg is no longer on the map

  • God Bless All Those People.

  • is this greensburg by pitt? plaese reply

  • @anthony15601

    Greensburg, Kansas

  • Greensburg

  • @anthony15601 no pitt is south eastern kansas

  • @musicrulez27 i mean pittsburgh PA and i said that a year ago lol

  • @anthony15601 lol i didn't even read when you wrote it :) if you meant the state it would still be no

  • @musicrulez27 k. theres lots of citys that r the same.

  • There wasnt any stories of what happened during the tornado.

  • u moron god doesnt hate christians he hates YOU so shut the heck up callouschristian

  • According to Pat Robertson, he most definitely hates Christians. Sorry about this brutal truth.

  • tornados

  • I always heard that an EF5 tornado could do as much damage as a nuclear explosion, like wiping an area off the face of the earth and it did. I wonder if there will be more like the strength of this one? I hope not...

  • Unfortunately there was. The Parkersburg, Iowa was a EF5 tornado.

  • Indeed that is the type of damage they do, unfortunately there will be more in the years to come.

  • I live in El Dorado Kansas not far from wichita i remember watching the new cast from my moms friends house....my dad works at mcconnell and he had to go clean up and the picutres that he brought back were devestating but yet amazing because of what a single tornado can do...

  • I just drove thru there and it nothing left, that is sad.

  • Very sad situation...it was good that so many came together to help and many committed to stay and rebuild. That is a true American spirit. God Bless.

  • omg that would be freaky!

  • so many shots from this video arent even of greensburg, I lived 30 miles south of there in a town called coldwater, the tornadoe missed us by about 1mile.

  • omg this is sooo weird i went there and helped them clean up after that tornado :( it was soo sad

  • oh im srry

  • well it hsaen't been physically proved that God doesn't exist.

  • man that sucks

i remember going through there ad it was bad

  • Has any1 been in a tornado here? awake? if u have plz right back to me im curious what its like.

  • i have been in a tornado

  • Wow, I get chills every time I watch these videos... I'm from Greensburg and was there the night of the tornado so these really get to me...

  • @mirandasancheze99 You dunce!! Go spa/\/\ on your own video you limewire freak!!!

  • video quality is really bad.

  • god didn't cause that storm nature did

  • Well who controls nature? God does duhhh

  • and u have a proof?

  • not to get into a long winded exhaustive debate about creation but it is a matter of faith and what u believe in...if u like to debate the issue a local college usually has really good classes on the subject.....

  • god is telling you to stop watching youtube

  • its ok people. just another god obsessed freak.

  • @apatte4975 if anything this is proof there is no god

  • @MrMrMoto You know there is an opposing force to god don't you. God doesn't do shit like this, satan does!!!!!!!

  • @ironcitydevildog Isn't that invisble thing you believe in supposed to have more power than " satan "

  • @apatte4975

    Doesn't God control the weather?

  • @936Juggalos

Only if you believe in imaginary people who live in the sky and keep a close eye on things (to loosely paraphrase the late, great George Carlin).

  • @rage1umr Well it's a good thing most of the people of Greensburg believe in God, that's what gave them the ability to rise up out of that disaster.

  • @apatte4975 While there are schools of thinking to both sides, there is an underlying truth to the statement that God is control of what occurs in nature. While its hard to understand WHY God would allow something like this, an EF5 tornado in the middle of the night, we've gotta keep believing that God knows what He is doing is good. He does NOTHING that is not for our own good. And while the devastation is dramatic and sad, Greensburg has rebuilt itself better than ever&God blessed them thru it

  • @statboy08 Religious or not, one with an open-mind should be able to make sense of both theories while they're still theories.

There is no Science vs God, because Science and God do not make each other invalid ideas.

Why would God let this happen? Observe the scientific reason it happened. Weather goes through cause and effect. What caused the storm and what specifically caused it to be so huge? The difference may be a small, overlooekd detail that eventrually tracks to something else. =)

  • @statboy08 I have a theory for the religious who want to know why God let this happen. First, I already explained the cause and effect chain. It can back track pretty far leading to something completely unrelated. Even multiple things. Something went wrong maybe?

But then it was set up to happen through the process of nature and reality like anything else. How could the fuse be allowed to happen when it'd lead to this and maybe other things?

Perhaps true inspiration to better our world.

  • JCRY It's your type of idiotic comments that give all Christians a bad name. Show the world compassion leave the wrath and vengeance proclamations up to god.

  • to jesuschristrulesyou next time god decides to destroy more sinners I hope you are standing close to them, he won't care

  • OMG HELP I AM A SINNER HELP ME FREAK HELP ME!!! They dont have proof god EVER existed.

  • In the last days, there will be those who openly MOCK GOD. I CAN'T SEE A BREEZE, CAN'T TOUCH IT, SMELL IT, MUST NOT EXIST ! OPPS....That non existing breeze just destroyed your hometown ! I think your name tells alot about your IQ

  • how can they not feel the breeze? n sorry if GOD didnt make me smart enough!!

  • Comment removed

  • What struck me the most was the spirit of the community. Wow! I want to move to Greensburg now. I live in Surrey Canada where there is little community and little care esp from our government. You guys are so lucky to live there, and should be proud because you make it what it is. Wow. Its nice to know good people , good communities, and faith to persevere still exist :) Very inspiring !

  • @grumpyjunior it's actually quite hard; to see your house; like that. to see it in a big mess; everything you've ever had; or have. just ruined; every photo; every memory is gone. it's so hard. i hated it at first; i CRIED, and cRIED; then we realized God had given us a second chance, he had given us a chance to rebuild; make a better place. it's an amazing miracle ; it REALY is. you'd like it here.

  • @grumpyjunior AMERICA IS THE BEST

  • @grumpyjunior

Our government is doing it's best to destroy communities such as this one. An F5 can't destroy community, family and faith, but our government sure is doing a damn good job of it.

  • Wow..this was not only the largest EF5 recorded..it's also the longest YouTube video I've ever seen. No complaints here! Greensburg is a very nice town. I hope they open up the Hand Dug Well (if it sin't already open).

  • GOD will work his ways ,,,,,,

  • I am very sad for this entire town, but I am happy to know that they are coming together to rebuild the first sustainable/green town. Thank you for you influence and positivity on society.

  • Now this is actually a channel worth subsribing to instead of those cheap scapes who think there cool by having screechy voices and advertisements saying SUBSCRIBE.

  • this made me sad. i really care about this. its great history.

  • wow 58 min

  • spaventoso!!!!

  • This happened on my birthday. i watched the entire video. I cried and my Prayers go to Mrs. Schmidt.
