  • why are statistics not available on any slip songs? T_T

  • This Was Too Sick Live. I'm So Fucking Glad I Seen Them Live.

  • Reznor is God.

  • Have too much style

  • On the other hand, you will see a steady web presence of so called "locals" praising China and how "awesome" it is. This is the other part of psychological warfare. Making your opponent seem more powerful than they are. Know your enemy. It isn't us, it's them.

  • Music is a source of inspiration, enjoyment, and happiness. The goal of psychological warfare is to demoralize your opponent, which makes them easier to conquer. China is launching a massive psychological warfare campaign on the World Wide Web. They prefer not to confront us directly, but try to make us argue with ourselves. As it costs them nearly nothing in retaliation.

  • It seems everywhere you go on youtube, good music is getting flamed randomly by people. Most of the time they are saying it's unoriginal or that it's not as good as "fill in the blank." The intent is to leave a bad taste in your mouth. The source of this phenonmenon? Chinese psychological warfare.

  • @jadedinCA1 Irrelevant, just like they said....

  • Comment removed

  • @jadedinCA1 haha! funny...

  • @jadedinCA1 What are you talking about?... I just want to know, I'm just starting to hear NIN yet, and your commentary seems to be very interesting...

  • dam, youre right, its then a touchscreen drumbox synth, buth i fouund an ipod echoplex app

  • trent reznor is god...nuff said!

  • i wish my rehearsal room was that big....i can only afford a small one for 2 hours a week :)

  • Yeah, this is a rehearsal, they are so bad ass. They are very serious about it.

  • The bassist looks like the guy from Ratatouille.

  • @LeoNV20 No one has ever been more right than you when you wrote that comment.

  • Robin, i love you

  • Robin Finck--yeah..

  • One of the best songs on The Slip. Trent looks like he smells a really bad fart through most of this video though lol.

  • Why do bass players have such a fascination with having a fro? If they can't actually grow one.. they are the one guy in the band who is most likely to wear a fro wig. WTF?

  • It's called a momome, it's a bad ass sampler, look them up

  • chip away at the old version of you

you'd be surprised at what you can do

  • I've been listening to them for as long as I can remember.Trent Reznor is my idol.

  • Creo que es de las grandes cosas que te da la vida escuchar algo de esta magnitud no tiene comparación alguna ......cancion de la lista de musica de mi existencia .

  • this is great music !!!!

  • so, can i hear the real story about the amazing machine the drummer is using?

  • @reaganderholyfield It's the machine per say. What Josh uses is merely the control for the machine (kinda like how you can use keyboards as mini controllers). As far as what it is then I have no clue.

  • Anyone think that Josh looks a lot like Lars Ulrich in this video?

  • Sweet Jesus! Just amazing!

  • Sweet Jesus! Just amazing!

  • jazzmutant lemur

  • @Flrestarter U r right! :O es igualito

  • This is some of the best shit ever made musically...I am very drunk but boy does does this shot rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  • it's kind of hard to comprehend that in a few short months the slip will be 3 years old

  • Wait....this is a REHERSAL?

    Holy crap...

  • @unknownuser8838 Well... a rehearsal with a high-quality camera crew to watch.

  • it most likely is fake leather and why do u eat glass

  • trent reznor does anti-fur videos for PETA declaring it to be wrong to kill animals to wear their fur. yet he's always wearing leather which is made from peeling the skin off dead animals. it's so fucking hypocritical and stupid I could puke glass.

  • @BornScreaming Well it could be fake leather then......

  • @BornScreaming You should stop eating glass, it's not healthy.

  • @BornScreaming Actually, if I'm not mistaken, it's not as big of a deal to wear leather since it's a byproduct of animals we need to kill for food, not for sport or the design of a fur coat. The idea that it's fake leather also has merit. All in all assuming that T-Rez is a hypocrite for wearing (probably faux) leather is really, really silly.

    @nicknoway: It's a JazzMutant Lemur.

  • @BornScreaming

If animals weren't meant to be worn as clothing, their flesh wouldn't be so damn warm and comfy.

  • @BornScreaming I can't even imagine the pain you go through each time you defecate. Bless your heart.

  • 11 people can suck my balls

  • what is that machine used in the beginning

  • This track always sounds like it's leading up to a 'big shouty' bit from Trent but never gets there.

  • woooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • This had me from the beginning, where he's syncing the drum-machine.

    You will never, ever....

  • This had me from the setup, where he's syncing the drum-machine....

    You will never, ever.....

  • That sounds fantastic.

  • what album is this from?

  • @killemall22

    The Slip

  • @killemall22 The Slip, is also free.

  • is it just me, or is the song a cleverly disguised giant middle finger to trent's previous music industry corporations?

  • Shit hot !!!! Love NIN

  • Dang!!! What a goodlookin' guy going from the guitar to the keyboard..that's such a turnon!!!

  • i like the beats and drums and guitar man i like everthing from this song!

  • Oh my god, this song is totally PERFECT. I listen it on this video 5 times a week at least.

This work is so amazing and ... I have no words to describe what this song makes me feel :)

  • that bass player is awesome :P

  • what is the equipment in the beginning?

  • robin fink made NIN best when they played live..nobody sounds like him..not even trents studio recordings

  • This song echoes in my head, and forever it will. Nine Inch Nails are the best, and this song is just a proof of that!!!

  • this song is soo chill

  • Anyone else having an eargasm ;)

    Love Trent's music, so sublime.

  • Trent Reznor makes me semi-hard.

  • I swear Trent has a slight English accent when he sings Apart Pats and irrelevent in the first verse it sounds really cool i love this song!

  • My voice just echoes off these walls... I don't need anything at all...

  • My voice just echoes off these walls... I don0t need anything at all...

  • Listen To My Echo ((((NIN #1)))))

  • the lead guitar running that off timed riff over the main riff was amazing.

  • you'd the minimalistic nature of that beat and stuff would make would bring the song down but just adds to how trippy this track is.goood shit!

  • waht are they using in the start to make the beat ?,, that's one cool thing

  • @ZoeMushroom it's a sequencer . Is called LEMUR .

  • Amazingly fat tune... Trent still hasn't said the last the last word as an musician and as artist...

  • I miss NIN so much =(

  • Good music on level

  • one of my favorite NIN songs now lets wait and see what how to destroy angles brings.

  • hi bucky!

  • that sequencer is awesome.

  • @voiceboxed

i think its called a lemur or something... maybe its the jazz mutant. but i know that there are programs and apps to put that on an itouch and use it as a midi controller wirelessly. i <3 midi

  • @nekrose483

    yeah, it's the jazzmutant lemur

  • relaxing

  • Trent's voice is great.

  • @stopmeltingme its sexy.

  • me and my freinds want to start doing covers and this one of the songs any idea wear we can get a one of those machines for the drums?

  • LOL xD - With that haircut and style he looks like a young Chris de Burgh... xD

  • I like it how most of their songs paint me various potraits/pictures for my mind to imagine. They're really good in doing that. Kinda like daydream. It trips me out as I sit back and jam out with awesome headphones.

  • goooood song! (=

  • Does anyone know what drum module that is at the beginning?

  • @Teenagefreedomfightr its a jazzmutant lemur. I am not sure what they have it hooked up to though. Still pretty sick though. My favorite part is watching him build the beat.

  • @silenc3x Yea, I spent 20 minutes googling words that looked like the blurry logo and finally found it last night. My only guess is it's from their new(ish) software bundle.

  • @silenc3x Most people run it through MAX MSP.. it could even be hooked up to an instrument track in Logic if they really wanted to.. limitless potential.

  • @RyanMortimer13 I would love to get one. Endless enjoyment.

  • Trent is sexy as always...

Anyway, great song great performance, great band

  • I'm a younger fan of Nine Inch Nails and I've always wanted to see them perform live. I fear I may have missed the boat, though.

  • Me too. I wanted to see them with Josh Freese playing.

  • <3 <3 <3

  • This song is so freaking awesome. I love how NIN still makes great music after all these years.

  • i dont need anything at all exept nine inch nails

  • @alanndiazpanza, I hear yah brother

  • One word - Amazing.

  • Very very good I must say :)

  • nine inch nails is my favorite

  • Such a great song. Even though it's not a complex song, the sounds just merge together so well.

  • The song's concept seems to be borrowed from pink floyd's the wall concept about total isolation

  • [Insert song here] seems to be borrowed from [insert band]'s [album] concept about [anything]. Everything is borrowed from something ;)

  • So true, man

  • I lol'd heartily and then respected you more.

  • that's not a theme exclusive to or created by pink floyd. In fact the who did it on quadrophenia (sp) years before them even

  • I love this song, trent if you ever read this I'm a big fan loved you at NINJA tour keep up the good work because your fans love it.

  • loves how trent stands and looks to the camera at 1:40-1:45 :) just amazing

  • 0:11 .. i did that on that nin app ... aweeesommmmee!

  • Both Trent and Robin Finck were amazing on the Wave Goodbye tour....pretty awesome for a couple of old guys. :P

  • its just great that trent got his shit cleaned up and has been producing pretty steadily for his loyal fans that had to wait like 5 yrs between downward spiral and the fragile, then 4 more between the fragile and with teeth.

  • Agreed. But for some weird reason all three albums seemed to come along at the exact point in my life when I needed them. not really sure what that's all about.

  • sorry bro, i accidentally hit the thumbs down on your comment, my bad, but yeah, i hear ya

  • Love this banda!! :))))

  • hahah idiot

  • wait sorry i was confused guys i was listenin to nirvana when i wrote this sorry i meant nine inch nails!

  • Great sound on this...

  • I like the guitars

  • At 1:06 you see hime next to the keyboards.

  • Alessandro Cortini, he has his own band. He's really talented.

  • hey who s the guy playing the guitar, with straight hair.

  • they were here at the begginin of the you and now im like fuck i wish iknew so i could of gone

  • so cool wen twiggy toured w/ them

  • It's a great song by itself, but sound-wise it's one of the most well-produced and well-layered songs I think NIN has ever done.

  • I want one of those drum machines.

  • they have iTunes app ones that represent one.

    d0ts echoplex

    sounds just like the thing

  • @nxkr3w Same look on ebay i found one and im bidding at the mo

  • @nxkr3w touchscreen+whatever software you feel comfy using, if you already have the software which I presume you do if you're wanting a touchy goodness, the overall prize is somewhere around 300$, less if you get it used. But if you want a bad-ass piece of machinery check out "Jazzmutant Lemur" Trent often uses one to cope with live performances.

  • @nxkr3w you can get one like it its called monome but its not touch screen and you need an extra PC/MAC to put sound samples into it

  • Jannikaze: no... but I WANT ONE!

  • sure, hand $5000 over

    :D

  • i love this entire video, but i love seeing Josh program the beat at the very beginning.

  • anyone knows what drummachine josh is using ?
