I owned a PEERLESS BUILT- Eddie Durham Special, from SAM ASH, They are GREAT GUITARS, I was stupid I sent it back to buy a IBANEZ ARTCORE AF-85 ay "CHINNESE JUNK!" The KOREAN PEERLESS Factory builds NICE SOUNDING MORE BETTER in EVER WAY Jazz Guitars! The TUNING KNOBS on my IBANEZ were RUINED in less than a month! THE PEERLESS Humbuckers had SOUND, the IBANEZ were DEAD.

Hi I got a Johnson archtop too, a JH-40-WT and a solid body. I love Johnson guitars.

Your archtop sounds perfect to my ears.

I costed it about 500 USD. Maybe more than that in shops. It is realy nice guitar money aside. The guitar sound was distorted because of using digital camera. It is more clear & vivid actually.

Yes it sounds great. What strings are you using? Is the G-string wound?

I always use GHS013 for the convenience of sliding.

Sorry to drag this out. But GHS and the thin E is 013, ok. But are you using electric or acoustic strings? This has always confused me. I use electrics. But seems to me that acoustic should be use for the acoustic sound or are strings just strings? Sorry for the rather stupid question

I'm using GHS 013 electric string. Acoustic string tension is too high for me to play. There's a secret method making my sound. How about using acoustic guitar picks? I always use 0.5mm acoustic guitar pick(maed by Dunlop)when play thick stringed guitar, so I can feel the vibration of the strings. Maybe it makes a difference in my opinion.
