Amazing video. It touched me and it motivated me even more to become one. I am going to finish school and become a United States Marshall. And I will be proud to serve our country and to make a difference and hopefully a good impact on some lives. No better thing to do or no better feeling than to be who you are or anyone who serves our country. One day I will share that same great honor. Thank you forever more.
@policesupporter4151 There aren't words to express how much i agree with you. I literally become infurriated by people who bash Police because of untrue stereotypes. This tribute shows how much we owe these men and women. This not only goes true for Police, but any civil servant, my father is a fire fighter and was in the Air Force. Im proud to be his son.
@jwizard29 Thank you so much for your comments. Sorry for the daly on posting, but I have had to set it so that I have to approve all comments. I've had a number of those who police haters comments lately. And I refuse to let their comments stand but at the same time refuse to give them any kind of acknowledgement by resonding to them. This video was created to honor those who protect us all each and every day...even those who don't want them anywhere around until they are they need help.
@jwizard29 Officers and their supporters face that hate every day. I won't allow them to have to read it here. Again, thank you so much for your comments and give my thanks to your dad for his dedicated service in protecting others
Thank you for this. We lost our Sgt a few months ago. Knowing that people care makes it easier to get back in those cars night after night and stay in the fight. Thank you
Excellent video! I've wanted to be a police officer since I was in middle school, and I'm hoping I'll be able to serve the community once I finish college. Some of my earliest memories were of sitting at my dad's repair shop early in the morning, listening to him and my uncle (retired HPD and police union president) talk story over coffee. I feel there is no higher calling than that to serve your country or community. I can't wait to start making a difference. Thanks for the amazing video again.
To All you everyday hero's who put it all on the line for us. Thank You All so much for the work you do. Our streets are safe to walk at night ,due in large part to the outstanding job police officials do daily. It seems a shame that in the enlightened age we live in that a very small minority still seem intent on breaking the law. Therefore police continue to put their very lives on the line so that we might enjoy the mostly peaceful society we all share. God Bless each and every one of you.
Thank you so much for that very moving video. It means a lot to us to hear a simple thank you after what we go through every day. My department just paid the ultimate price, yet again, with the blood of one of our own. I hope you do not mind that I shared your video on facebook in his memory. Yours was the only one that I could find that could truly do this Hero justice.
@c3863 You have my deepest sympathies on your loss. I know that your officer is watching over the brothers and sisters in uniform that were left behind now and will never be forgotten. You are most welcome to use the video. If you have a rememberance or memorial page, please let me know the officer's name and I will find it. I would be honored to join the page. I keep an album on my page on FB of fallen officers and we have one on the American Police Hall of Fame & Museum's page as well.
Beautiful. Thank you so much for posting. It feels good to know that there is someone out there who takes the time to remember all police men and women who died protecting and serving. Thank you.
@policesupporter4151..I would like to thank you so much for the video you posted.... I'm sure I can speak for all police officers that wear the shield in saying thank you for this great tribute. I cannot say enough how much I & other officers appreciate what you do.
@MIKE761CPU Thank you so much, but it is definitely I who should be thanking you! There could never be a way for us to fully repay each of you or your families for the sacrifices that you all make every single day to keep us safe and you each have my utmost respect. If I could be granted one wish, it would be that there would always be an angel riding on the shoulder of every one of you to keep you safe from harm. God bless you for what you do!
@nickjackson626 I'm not sure about TheSherifsally's link but you can find it on the Facebook cause page for "A Tribute To Those Who Wear The Sheild". Just go to causes dot com/tribute.
"America's Warriors have always stepped up to the plate for our freedoms and liberties and many have paid the ultimate sacrifice and some have survived to endure worse. HONOR THEM, RESPECT THEM, LOVE THEM & NEVER FORGET THEM! I salute you all!" Sparrow Six-Five!
@TheSheriffsally - Thanks! I always enjoy seeing it posted. Since you're on Facebook, check out the Facebook cause "A Tribute To Those Who Wear The Shield", where this is the official video.
A blue rose plucked from this earthly world to brighten the gardens of Heaven. I have followed Chris' story since the day he was shot. His fierce battle to overcome was the inspiration behind the slide entitled "Hero" where his picture is shown. Such a strong, determined, and couragous young hero taken away far too soon. His inspiration will live on forever. He will always be remembered. Always in our hearts, forever in our prayers.
Thank you from the heart, it makes me feel good inside to see not all think were heartless, and to all my brothers and sisters out in the field, stay sharp
Risking your life everyday to save mine. Thank you for your dedication and service ..Thank you for improving my quality of life.... Keeping you in my prayers.
Thank you all very much. There is nothing that I could do that holds more importance than honoring those who continually place themselves in danger to protect those entrusted to their care. The respect and admiration of these men and women should be embraced by all. I thank God for giving us guardian angels with shields on their chests to walk along the Thin Blue Line, giving themselves selflessly to us all. May there always be an angel on each and every shoulder keeping them safe.

Bravo! As a civilian dispatcher, it is one of my duties to help keep the officers on the street safe. Every day that comes to an end without an officer injured or worse is a good day. I thank you for showing them that there are still people out there that respect them, for things that they do on a daily basis, without pause. Bravo! to the guys that take time out of their lifes that we may go about ours!
awsome video!! i think some people have forgot why we have law enforcement, its not just to write you tickets, but they'll find out when they need officer most ;) Great vid
Thank you very much. It's always a little lift to the heart to know that others are watching and both understand and agree that "Those Who Wear The Shield", past, present, and future deserve our respect and our thanks.
As a former officer, I know many of these people in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised at how many came from my area. Thank you for putting this together. I have shared it with many and continue to feel the pride and honor of when I served.
Thank you for your comment and thank you for your service. It is such an honor to be contacted by an officer and know that what we were trying to say with the video comes across and is understood. Honoring "Those Who Wear The Shield" is not just about honoring those who wear one today, but those who ever have as well. I have talked to enough officers to know that even when a badge is no longer physically pinned on the shirt that doesn't mean it's not still there. Thank you very much.
I love this video. It has a picture of my dad. I would like to know the name of the person who put this together. My dad has passed away due to cancer, and this was really a tribute.
Oh I have tears in my eyes. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dad. I put this together from pictures found at various places on the internet. I created this to pay tribute to those men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day and tried to show just a slice of what their days are like. What an honor to know that your dad is among those shown. Thank you so much letting me know. I just got your email and I'll respond and give you more info. Thank you!
