That was absolutely amazing. Watched all 7 at once. It was like musical popcorn...I just couldn't stop. What fun. It took me through memories, both wonderful and bittersweet! Thanks so much!
Thanks so much. Watched all 7 nonstop. I can't believe I knew so many songs. Must be all the radio exposure in those days, that being our main form of entertainment. There were only 5 I didn't know and 4 of those were by groups I did know. Loved them all. Thanks again.
7 parts - wow did that time go fast - as did the decades from my teens 1960's to today. Some memorable classics and some classic one hit wonders, love it all. What a grand job you did with these 2 brilliant decades - yes, there may have been several bands & songs omitted, but hey - YOU are GOOD. Hope to catch afew more. Thanks from the land down under.
Excellent songlist! I play a lot of this material when doing gigs with cover bands and by myself. Although I know a pretty large repertoire of tunes, this playlist just reminded me of many more I wouldn't have thought of doing. Thanks!
This was a great compilation. Should you decide to do an 8th offering - based on the era and genres of music you highlighted - AC/DC, Rush, Journey, Supertramp, T-Rex, Blue Oyster Cult, Woody &/or Arlo Guthrie, the Yardbirds, Bob Segar, Sonny & Cher, Andy Gibb, Glen Campbell, Jackson 5, Dr. Hook, the Temptations, George Thorogood, Golden Earing, Paper Lace, Procol Harum, Tom Petty (late 70's) and - since you are including disco - Donna Summers.
(From the previous post:) Another line was: "Well they said you couldn't do it, but you proved it one June, sent a rocket to the moon, and you're walking in space. But you can't tell a lie, and expect to get by, the truth will come back by & by, and it'll slap you in the face. Such a waste to be walking in space, when you can't walk together down here." It was sung by a male artist and I recall it as a simple tune. Hope you can help me find the song. Thanks for the video trip down memory lane!
Incredible tribute videos! With all your music knowledge you may be able to help me find the singer or the title of an oldie. In the late 60s/early 70s, the 'B' side of a 45 I can only remember a few of the lyrics. One line is: "Love is all around, from the sky to the ground, there's enough to go around, it can always be found. The best love is found in the home." (Cont in the next comment.)
This is a phenomenal series. Along with other entrants I have a list of bands that were omitted. They are: The Standells, The Ramones, Jan & Dean, Todd Rundgren's Utopia, T. Rex, Thin Lizzy, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Althea & Donna, Slade, and Mouth & McNeil. With all of the sounds that was around back then, we knew who we were listening to. In my opinion, every artist today sound all alike and I can't tell the difference between any of them. Thank You!
Wow! I can tell you certainly put in a great deal of time creating this series and I LOVE your animations! You need to do a full-length feature! LOL! I wanted you to know, YOU MADE MY DAY! Thanks for sharing. <3
I'm trying to come up with the name of a song with the lines.."If you love me love me love, why did you ever leave me girl,If you love me love me love, why did you ever go.Can anyone help me out?
soy de mexico pero comento que hermoso tesoro se encuentra en todas las portadas de los discos quien yo seria para tenerlas todas y la musica mas hermosa de toda esas decadas ....me he subi al tunel del tiempo ....feicitaciones
@2unreal2 For sure I'm sure we can do part 1000 by my collection alone. But what a fantastic job mixing, the sound is fantastic & the pics are wonderful.. Thanks so much really enjoyed it..Even tho it was like listening to a K-Tel commercial for an hr lol Stay well ;-)
good music, but alot of these "bands" were 1 hit wonders. tho' i watched all 7 parts, i don't remember seeing iron butterfly's in-a-gadda-da-vida---was it in there?
kinda hard to believe but there is no seals and croft in any of these videos...summer breeze? diamond girl? etc haha. oh well still a great list of songs
hey bro! you forgot ram jam too! and quicksilver, tavern, goliath, the mighty baby, rhynoceros, morgen, paris hall, power of zeus, dragonfly, j.d blackfoot, morning dew, josefus, fraction just to mention some of them...............maybe you were not into the acid and psychedelic music like me, im just 25 but i love the 60's and 70;s........
@kratos3821 I've never heard of any of those bands at all! I was not into the acid rock or psych. music movement then or now at all. Thanks for the comment.
@AmberWaves444 ok!, are you telling me that you never heard a song called: in a gada davida by iron butterfly or kick out the jamns by mc5 or gloria by the shadows of knights or green grass high tides by the outlaws or on the road again by canned heat or 96 tears by ? and the mysterians or mississipi queen by mountain or land of the 1000 dances by cannibal and the head hunters?
te agradesco por esta bella recopliacion de exitos, en lo peronal me recordaste muy buenas epocas de mi vida te felicito y ojala que continues haciendo esto, saludos te envio un sincero abrazo
hey great job thank you so much i found songs that i was looking for a long time thank you thank you ....love the 70s best times ever best music even thought im still looking for songs but the problem that i dont even know who sings them
Dire Straits is more of an '80s band to some due to their 1985 Money For Nothing hit that's really an MTV anthem (even includes the I Want My MTV!) Take Me Home Tonight is also '80s!
BTW, I have close to 6000 vinyl singles in my collection!

Just curious: 4 or 5 America songs, 1 Joplin?
