Yeah, you'd have to be an off road racer to understand this scene completely. You don't yell for a downed rider to "get out of the way". You either go around or help out. That guy was a jerk. And you don't go running down a silty, dusty, downhill in your gear to warn people. Off-road racing requires independent thoughts about your own well-being in extreme conditions. Here's a concept: Big dust cloud=slow down for the pile up. I've seen it, done it, been there. It is what it is.

@customcrims really dont see what being american has to do with this. those of us lucky enough to get out unharmed were freaked out by the whole thing. and as for running back to warn others, lets think about that. 1 minute is a good time in which to run 1/4 mile. I wouldve had to run at least that far back uphill to do any good. Now lets factor in the boots im wearing and the loose dirt and steep terrain. probably nearing the 4 min mark now. way too lat for it to be of any use.

Someone posted a comment about running up the hill to stop other riders, If you were in the race you would have seen that the dust was so thick and not to mention it was a turn with a down hill. also my husband did run halfway up the hill to try and stop riders leaving his bike there to get distroyed. there are several riders still in the hospital from this crash ranging from punicured lungs, to broken limbs. So i'am just thankful that everyone will be able to race again.
