  • Back then, wrestling was so real. Now,we'll never see such a crowd anymore.

  • It seems nobody paid attention bret thought he has pinned Bulldog but later realised his foolish defeat ;-D

  • Back when the IC title meant something

  • BritishBulldog should of been givin a wrestlemania main even

  • First video I've seen without a dislike

  • Bobby Heenan classic, "You should be home doing dishes.." about Diana

  • bobby heenan at his best

  • After winning the intercontinental title belt.

I think, if he didn't had a knee injury in 1993 he would been World WWF champion.

  • I pin my girlfriend like that when we wrestle.

  • una de las mejores peleas R.I.P british bulldog... from peru

  • Then what happened then what happened???

  • ah the ending got cut out, where bret again tries to leave the ring, and the fans boo him, before he finally hugs davey boy.

  • search you tube: "World Of Sport Young David", and watch several of Davey Boy's earliest wrestling matches, he's a skinny little 17yr old.

  • HUUGE POP

  • rip bulldog

  • bret never did like losing did he lol great match two legends r.i.p bulldog

  • Waoooo epic match

  • only in england will you get a crowd like that... english and proud

  • Press 4 for the pop

  • quite possibly the greatest wrestling match of all time and if their is ever a match worthy of main eventing a ppv in any industry then it has to be this, and it is possibly the only time where the intercontinental championship takes priority over the wwe championship and with two of the greatest wrestlers of all time, in one of the greatest stadiums of them all a true classic moment

  • wish they did another ppv at wembley :(

  • wow what a pop,i remember watching this years ago, classic wrestling unlike the shit we get today.

  • Epic Fail , and a dude says he's gone noe

    Rest in Peace ''BritishBulldog''

  • British sports fans are so much better than American.

  • Davey was never truly appreciate by wwf, even here he only won the title because it was at wembley, bret was actually booked to drop the title to shawn michaels here but bret convinced vince that it would be better business to drop it to bulldog because bulldogs popularity in england was so huge. the fact bulldog dropped the title to michaels less than a couple of months later shows how little the company thought of him.

  • BRET HART WAS GOOD! DAVY BOY WAS BETTER!!!!

  • @sky2heavens hell no bret was beter than davey.

  • My goodness..

when you can get such an excellent main event for SummerSlam which is for the Intercontinental title then why not today. B'coz WWE sucks at character development and setting up quality matches

  • british bulldog and bret hart two of the best from the good years of WWF

  • Perfectly said we were spoiled as fans andvl thank god for that

  • It's a little upsetting when WWF fans look at this and ask Vince if not demand for him to turn back the clock and have the same kind of writing. This time has passed. The new WWE fans don't have the attention span to follow a well written script. These new fans want to live in the moment. Plus, like it was mentioned before, not many WWE fans remember much before the Attitude Era. When I watch matches like these it's like listening to great record.

  • @ItaloCanadese That's the single most ridiculous excuse I've ever had the misfortune to read in my entire life. Are you fucking serious? It's okay for it not to be so good nowadays cause the fans don't have the attention span? WHAT???? It's not as good nowadays for the simple reason that there's less TALENT. Today's clowns are acrobats and bodybuilders, not to mention terrible actors. The WWE is a shoddy, weak, pathetic shadow of what it once was. Now Vince is gone. WWF... R.I.P.

  • @walka112 It's definitely not okay for us. The other day I was having a discussion about todays music and what is considered talent. My cut off line in the 90s. Anything past that period is garbage. There are no real musician anymore walking away with awards. All we have left are what Gene Simmons calls karaoke artist that have to play a tape instead of tuning an instrument before they pick up a microphone. Lady Gaga and John Cena are thriving in the mindless humanoid herd seeking entertainment.

  • This got a bigger pop than Warrior/Savage for a reason

  • @BlountDucks9 It was because the BRITISH bulldog was fighting infront of his home country! so of course it got bigger pop than Warrior and Savage.

  • Bret's emotion after losing his intercontinental belt was like he lost the world belt. Classic. The crowd reaction was unreal like it was for the world belt. The intercontinental had value then.

  • Summerslam 2012 -- Wembly Stadium...the 20th anniversary

Wade Barrett vs John Cena in a classic match, with Barrett winning the title

  • @xizzlex It ties in with Olympic year too! We'd sell it out in no time at all.

  • I found about this when Raw aired a recap to hype Summerslam. This year, we will not be seeing anything of this caliber. One, because WWE can't book this because they enforce a very strict "WWE Style" fight which is ten minutes of right hands and stomps and maybe a spine buster and two because their main eventers can't work this, with Cena and Orton being one trick ponies who only work the above style. Plus, matches can't end in pinning predicaments in 2011. Orton's fragile ego would shatter.

  • I wonder how many people took there eyes off the match for a second /then they missed the finish...lol

  • davey boy was so underrated his running power slam was incredible they dont make wrestlers like they used to

  • Hell I always thought the IC title matches always outperformed the World title matches. Hell we could see matches like this with John Cena if they really tried hard enough.

  • @SnakeMan227 No, you couldn't. You will never again see performances of this calibre in the WWE because they simply don't have the talent pool anymore. "Jedward" would be the best descri[tion of the WWE these days. In other words, grossly overrated talentless imbiciles with not the fist clue of how to be truly great at what they do.

  • i was there, I was 11 years old and going mental! You can't beat a British crowd.

  • i was there

  • Loudest pop ever!

  • watch the crowd lol 1:23

  • Funny how the intercontinental title headlined this PPV (mostly on the raw talent of these two wrestlers) these days the main event has to be a tables-ladders-chairs barbed wire soap-on-a-rope match....sigh, miss the early 90s.

  • there were points in my life where i looked forward to Summer Slam more than WM.

summper slam just seems to be awesome it isnt as over hyped and a let down as some of the wrestlemanias have been

  • why was this match such a big deal?

  • @Legendaryfires --Beside being held in England where the British Bulldog is from..this was the first WWF Big 4PPV held in England.

  • vince stop getting characters from mtv the real world n create wrestlers like ultimate warriors, snuka, big boss man, etc....who the phuck is the miz!!>>> wth!?!?!?

  • very good quality for such an old video.

  • Man the refs used to count fast back then lol

  • R.I.P-"BritishBulldog"

  • @SpeedyBongzales Bulldogs My Dads Cousin And My Second Cousin I Never Got To See Him Though Because He Died Before I Was Born ;'(<333333

  • Howard Finkel FTW!!

  • I was there that night, 8 rows back from the ring :) only a kid then but remember it like it was yesterday... Good times

  • wow, what a pop.

  • GREAT MATCH great match!! is it just me or did referee count too fast ?

  • vince called it a "wrestling" match. Oh how times have changed.

  • he can't turn him, he can't turn him.............. he turned him i knew he could turn him' bobby heenan was truly the greatest

  • Damn that was a fast freakin count hahaha still a great match British fans are so great Vince should do a Wrestlemania in the UK it would be insane I think

  • @robzrx7 It's what I've been wanting for 19 years, man. Maybe one day.

  • Great match!! thanks for videos

  • best match ever!!

  • man, this is when winning a title means something......

nowadays it changed lik every week

  • Look at this pop to an Intercontinental championship match. See this Vince remember? Back when your titles meant something.

  • Jericho said something like the 5 star matches of today would only be considered 4 star matches 10 years ago and so on. I really really hope that's not the case but after watching this and comparing it to the garbage we get these days, I can't help but agree with him. ;_;

  • you could of uploaded the very last bit

  • @Jaynezy101 Yeh, got to agree with you there

  • This match was flawless. Amazing.

Summerslam back in England for 2012? It's our Olympic year and 20 years after this one in '92, it would just make sense.

  • Was it this match that Jericho gave Bret the finish?

  • Back when matches didn't need a finish with a finishing move. That's what made these matches so good. it was unexpected and you loved it. The only thing ruining wrestling right now is the writing/creative people and the internet. the reason we cant enjoy wrestling as much is because of all the spoilers

  • "give it up and go have some tea" LOL

  • true championship match atmosphere right here..something that hardly ever happens anymore..

  • WWE Summerslam NEEDS to be in Wembley Arena in 2012. We will host the Olympics that year so we need to host the 3rd biggest PPV of the WWE. Barrett , Mason Ryan, Drew McIntyre & Regal are all from the UK so this needs to happen.

20 years in the making :)

  • 10/10 !!!!

  • lol, if you're going to cut it early, you might as well have cut it RIGHT when Bret was going out through the ropes, just to make it look like he ignored teh handshake and went out like a big ol' baby.

  • coughFAST COUNTcough

  • @buttercremehonda all pinfalls were usually that fast back then

  • @cole003f Davey must have spiked his coffee with speed. Typical piece of shit cokehead ribber.

  • hey jerks..... you took out the part where bret shakes his hand and holds it high!!!!

  • Would anyone dare to disagree that this match was one of the best of the 90's, if not the best?

  • Davey would slip diana GHB in her orange juice in order to sodomize her without resistance....oh davey

  • @thegoods420 according to diana. a reliable source? or a spotlight hungry jealous bitch?

  • only problem I have is the ref counted to fast

  • You clearly see (and hear!!!) the difference between a UK audience used to comitted support during football matches and American popcorn audiences.

  • @kdessler moron, this is back in 1992, american audiences were hot as well, 1 of the major reasons UK pops is because wwe will hit it once a year for a tour while the rest of the year its in america. if you have sex every night for a year its good but if you only have it once a year its great .

  • @nexivdr I'd still take 365 nights of sex over 1 night a year ={> jus sayin..........by the way, how can Davey Boy Smith be the "BRITISH" Bulldog? His teeth aren't crappy enough.....sorry english people ={>

  • @jtrebel32 well he aint american cos he isnt obese enough!!!

  • @ddr110285 well we would be skinny with bad teeth too if our finest cuisine were rocks and dirt or whatever the hell british people eat!!!!

  • @jtrebel32 well thanks for taking time out from looking at child porn to reply .... but i think you will find english cuisine is far better than american and so much fresher your all obese cos your all fat fucking slobs not cos of any other reason !!

  • @ddr110285 1st of all if english women would just floss once in a while, i wouldn't have to turn towards kids (american kids of course); all kidding aside if you have to jump to making accusations so ridiculous, obviously your desperate and have nothing more intelligent to rebuttal with; and when your the most powerful nation on earth and could invade any country you want on any whim you might have that second, of course you'll turn into a slob; being fat is just the cherry on top!!!

  • @jtrebel32 most powerful nation on earth?? oh so your chinese ? oh my apologies i thought that u where jus another cocky ass yank ...lol thats cool you cant be american and say that after the amount of casualties they take in every war they go in .... thats why they always get england to hold there hand cos when the goin gets tough the yanks get goin !! but they are a very blind species mostly made up of half breeds so will be cool when they eventually get wiped out

  • @ddr110285 HA! you must be another bitter englishman who can't get over the fact that this is not the 1700s anymore and noone cares bout their stupid queen or princes; and just because we owe money to china, doesnt mean anything, cuz if we get into any trouble, all we have to do is TELL you guys to help us out; and YOU WILL help us out cuz if you don't then we'll have to beat you guys up a third time; at least we still know you'll be our little b*tch for another century!!

  • @jtrebel32 i wouldnt count on it shit head everyone hates america and americans are to fucking blind/ignorant to see it so who's the fool so fuck you fuck your shit country of half breeds and fuck the world trade centre lmao biggest wake up calls you fat fucking inbreds have ever had wankers

  • @ddr110285 who said noone hated us? of course we're ignorant (not me in paticular but the country as a whole); just like everyone hated egypt, the persians, rome, and yes, even England once ruled this earth; because they were at the top; haters only look up; and also you guys also had a world trade center: the orignal 13 colonies; the difference is when you tried to punish us for it (an yes, unlike ourselves you were targeting the right people in this case) you guys had an EPIC FAIL!!! TWICE!!!!

  • @jtrebel32 not at all if your refering to the war between us england colonised america in theory americans are english descendants ... usa is 50 times the size of england how long did we rule? thats cos it took u so long to figure out how many thousand of times you outnumbered us lol took you long enough tho didnt it lol

  • @ddr110285 and since then we've been growing and growing; thats wats great about this very flawed but great country, you cant narrow us down to any type of race; we don't even have an official language (much to the disappointment of those red necks out in Alabama); we are the most diverse country in the world hands down; its not our fault noone wants to go to england; we may be unwelcoming towards foreigners, but thats because all other races have put in their time like blacks and hispanics;

  • This is back when British wrestlers were great Faces & Davey Boy was the best of them all; nowadays, all British wrestlers are crappy Heels, like William Regal & Wade Barrett...its just not the same...

  • @Tarynus i never understood it when they turned the bulldog heel (apart from the hart foundation 1997). i mean, even in the USA who wants to boo the bulldog?

  • @antsman88 Exactly, Davey Boy was a hit with practically everyone & turning him heel was a crap idea on Vince's part

  • @rachelhillam the one i will never understand is austin turning heel at WM17. don't care what anyone says, he was NOT stale as a face!!

  • Dear Vince,

I get goosebumps watching this matches like this. Look at this crowd it was pure bedlam at Wembley on this day. Bring us back to these days Vince. We are not asking for much except for classic matches, great storylines, great faces and heels make all the belts something to truly contend for and not something that is passed around like a bad blunt on a cloudy day. You have the dedicated audience, but this crap you're churning is out killing us slowly.

    Sincerely,

    Dedicated Fan

  • @ReymundoValdez If it's killing you then why are you still freaking watching it?

  • wwe isnt as good as it use to be. best times was when it was called wwf

  • @ReymundoValdez

Vince Macmahon ruined WWF since 1998

  • @ReymundoValdez You do realize it was Bret hart that made this match magic. Not Vince not Davey Boy Smith. I don't think anyone in the WWE now can deliver a match like this anymore. Maybe Kurt Angle can. Whatever said About Bret Hart, He was one of the best performers out-here. Maybe he wasn't that great on the mic, but in that ring he was UNTOUCHABLE.

  • @mrqib

I think he was actually much better on the mic than he's given credit for, even if he was no Rock, Austin or Hogan.

  • @ReymundoValdez Vince only gives the fans what they want when competition forces him to. Otherwise WWE is his personal plaything for weird bullshit.

  • @grzestelicki didnt you see how david did the counter pin jus like bulldog O: and then the rejected handshake, its pretty much a remake

  • david hart smith had jus done a similar thing today on SUPERSTARS

  • @jamesgowee It's sad but he can shine their shoes, like all today shit "wrestling" and "wrestlers"

  • Although Davey, pretty much dominated Bret, at least physically in this match....it was still great. I am a huge Bret fan, to this day, but everytime I watch this ending...I want to cry. I am glad this was just to set Bret up to win the WWF World Title, but I still hurt watching this match.

    It was great, though.

  • This match is a work of art. Ive read Brets book, and i truly believe that Davey Boy Smith could have gone all the way to the top in the wrestlng business if he had stayed away from all the drugs and the bad choices he did in his life. And that is true for a lot of other wrestling stars of the eigthies and the nineties that are now dead or are physically not capable of wrestling anymore like the dynamite kid to mention one.

  • now adays i don't see wwe becoz it is shit...........

  • Ah, the good ol days. Now its so f'n stupid . Just nonsense.

  • This is why modern WWE sucks. Bulldog was bloated, stoned, and had forgotten all the spots and despite having to be carried by Bret beginning to end, Bulldog STILL put on 10X the show John Cena is capable of.

  • Biggest pop ever?

  • @Sage80 there's no real way to tell but i was there and it sure felt like it, 80k Brits sure do make a lot of noise

  • @lickstickly To me, the biggest ever was always Warrior/Honky at Summerslam 88. Never saw a crowd reaction like that before, ever. And not sure I have since.

  • @Sage80 was that the one where he won the belt in like 30 seconds? if so i remember that one and you could be right, also there was the moment Bret Hart's music hit in Montreal on Raw when Shawn Michaels was making that speech mocking the audience and Bret, pretty sure the roof nearly came off on that one even though it was a very devious trick

  • The English thought the Intercontinetal meant more then the WWEF title, which in my opinon it is.

  • @Spulpacz no they didnt

  • Oh that sucked! I wanted to see when they hugged and Diana came into the ring! I wanted to see that!

  • One of Bret's finest - and Davey's, and the WWF's, for that matter - of all time!

  • Single Greatest match ever?

  • Ive been watching wrestling every week since the early 1990s, this is the best match that has taken place in the UK since televised wrestling began.

  • Misss Bulldog Man!, FUCK HOGAN, BULLDOG AND BRET ARE THE LEGENDS!, HAHA!

  • bobby the brain heenan - best commenter ever in the wwe

  • @postyj number 2, i say, would have to be jim ross

  • @MegaPumpkin2010 without a doubt. And 3rd Gorilla Monsoon

  • That's the belt stupid. You won it. Put it on. LMAO!!! gotta love The Brain.

  • why didnt his theme song kick in when he won???? stupid!!

  • Did Bret shake his hand in the end?

  • @Maximum007 yea he did, in bret's book he says davey messed up most the spots.. they planned to shove eachother wen davey tried to shake his hand but davey was 2 cracked up to remember

  • A lot of people have their opinions but for me Bret's the greatest wrestler of all time. He carried Bulldog in this match and sold all of Bulldog's botches.

  • @Maximum007 The Bulldog was also coming off of having a staph infection so that might be why he botch a lot of moves.

  • the beauty of this match is that they did everything right, even when they botched a spot. They gave each man sufficient time for the other to control the match before switching the momentum. Another thing that they do well that you don't see in today's wrestling I.E. TNA and expressionless Dixie Carter, when they go to Diana in the crowd, she conveys proper emotion. Finally, they sell well for each other. It's nice to see a match be a little bit longer, but look real.

  • That might be the BIGGEST pop ever!!

  • Great crowd and an even greater match. Epic!!! One of my alltime favorites

  • 90,000 at wembley! Amazing cheers!

  • now thats a wrestling pop

  • no-one cheers like that nowadays, i miss the olden day, even though this was before i was born ^_^

  • @johnmysterio001 They cheered like this in the attitude era, if you happened to watched WWE during that era.

  • Two of the best technicians i've ever seen. An awsome match, just listen to the atmosphere. This is exactly why a Wrestlemania needs to come to wembley !

  • Comment removed

  • @iHateSheamus Sure, Vince could end it all (rob himself of million$, yeah, right). And the world would just come to an end. Not for me. I wasn't whining; I stated an opinion; that's what people do here, isn't it? If you don't like it, tough. Stop being a reactive troglodyte. I have a life; it's YOU who's in a snit/defending pro wrestling w/ a childish little wrestling handle! I'm probably much older than you, skipnuts & frankly, I don't need or want to sound cool. Have a good day.

  • And another thing. Look how great this match was, and for the Intercontinental Championship? The IC Championship lost so much prestige >.<

  • @WillFoSkill it has quiet a bit..but the title the past 2 years has had some great matches

  • @BrickCity4eva Tru, they put it back on Jericho and started a feud with Jericho and Rey which was good.

  • @WillFoSkill Yes, there series was great. Dolph Ziggler stepped his game up against Rey at SummerSlam last year vs. Rey as well

  • @BrickCity4eva Yeah and Spoilers reveal Dolph in finally winning the IC Championship tonight on SmackDown ;D

  • @WillFoSkill YES I know......hopefully he gets a prosperous reign

  • @BrickCity4eva Yeah and Kane announced that he was the Undertakers attacker *Suprise Face!* I just hope they put Kane over the Undertaker...

  • @WillFoSkill Rey accused Kane that HE was the attacker. Kane will likely get over at NOC, then lose in HIAC in the final encounter.

  • @BrickCity4eva Whats NOC?

  • @WillFoSkill The Night of Champions AKA Vengeance

  • @BrickCity4eva Oh alright, I'm not used to all the new Pay-Per-View names, I stopped watching wrestling for 08 and 09 and just got back into this year.

  • @WillFoSkill Night of Champions is actually a show founded in 2007

  • @BrickCity4eva Not exactly, it was Vengeance NOC, like a mix of both.

  • Meh... British Bulldog = Overrated.

  • cant blame vince guys.. fans these days want to see Cena doing some military justice crap, dumb divas stripping and high definition sh*t..

  • man, fans need to bring that excitement again.

  • Superfrekemsexy you are one lucky son if a gun, I wish I could have been their, but I wasn't even born, what a match tho

  • @superfrickensexy man i wish at least i was born to watch this match on tv! and yeah this attendance looks way more than 80,000 and even wrestlemania 3!

  • man i think the brain was born to talk, makes lawler look slow. bret is the best ever bare none, flair couldnt hold his jock.

  • @superfrickensexy actually it was wrestlemania 3 with 93,000 summerskam 92 had 80,000

  • @superfrickensexy The biggest wrestling crowd ever was at the Silverdome in Pontiac Michigan in front of 93,173 for Wrestlemania 3.
