I've heard the Syntonic album only once and I really did not like it. Hearing this one song again, I can understand why. They are trying to be Wild-era Erasure if they attempted to Retox/Detox Heaven 17's Temptation and hey, why not toss in a latin beat randomly for the hell of it. The song ends up being very confusing and jarring. Move to Move had strange combonations as well and it worked, but if I recall correctly, Syntonic they really lost the ability to do this correctly.
