  • Thanks, take a look at the last vid about the tower...not so good....

  • Thanks, This is a 72 foot Rohn BX series tower. It is rated to 70 mph winds with a 10 square foot surface area antenna weighing up to 50 lbs. When I told the guy what I was doing with the tower (putting a turbine on it) he was not too enthusiastic. He also thought that I should not use the tilt base because it was weaker than the standard one. One week ago we had some straight line winds that toppled several large old trees and broke my tower between segments 2 and 3. I'll post video soon.

  • Just awesome work! What kind of tower is it that doesn't need guy wires? I wish I could find one like that. Very good work indeed!

  • Thanks, It's 75 feet at the top of the turbine.

  • WOW that thing is up there looks great .TAKE CARE

  • I had to repost the video and lost all of the comments. What was your comment?

  • Thanks, so far the wind has been very light. (less than 6 mph) so very little electricity has been produced. I'm hoping that this fall and winter it will pick up.

  • @DrElectricconvert I left a comment on your prior video on wiring. Not sure you saw it. You've vids are inspiring!

  • Congratulations James! Looks totally awesome!
