@11heybob no and yes it will help prevent it, no guarantees though. what year was your console manufactured, i believe they don't work with consoles from 2008-now. if it has a radiator pipe coming from the gpu heatsink to a third heatsink it won't work, the plug is different

wtf i bot a whisper fan and its not so good... when i replaced the moon fan with the stock fan the temp in my xbox stayed the same... my moon fan is like as strong as my stock fan i also have smart led storm v2. do u think thats the reason y my fan is still weak or its defective?

If you open your console, or the security label under the faceplate on the middle tab thingy Microsoft wont take it due to security and safety reasons I did my mod when my warranty voided and after about 5 months my console just quit due to a bad cd drive plug on the motherboard it is your choice

With the Talismoon Whispers, they are so much fucking quiter! I have a regular white xbox360 case with a square cut-out on the side(see through in a way) with talismoon whispers and the auroras, all blue and is sweet! With also a see through dvd drive

@Fr3shB0iii 3 Rings doesnt always have to do with overheating. Often times it is because Xbox 360's are made on an assembly line, which results in sloppy asian work. With sloppy work, comes defects in the product. Such as, an bad solder. Most of the time, the problem is from the Xclamps on the bottom of the 360. The repair is a long and tedious proccess.

great test bar 2 things

1#neither console got upto gaming temps

2# they dont move the same amount of air as deltas no matter what the marketing folks tell you.

3# most fan noise here seems to come from the airflow (and the mesh)

take the mesh out of both, run them upto temp, then see the differnce.

also horizontal has proved to be 2*c cooler on average on both cpu and gpu chips, every little helps

Also you cannot get banned for opening the 360 and changing the fans. Their is nothing illigal about it what so ever. It just voids your warenty.

the reason u can get banned is "System Tampering" its in the TOS read it (no one else does)

As long as you dont change the motherboard or modify it in any way they cant detect it also be careful about where you draw power from the console NEVER NEVER NEVER draw power from the cd drive because 1. They can detect that mod 2. it will break your cd drive from insufficient power And 3. you might get a power failure rrod
