  • Finally someone with taste in music

  • Did you ever think of showing under the hood?

  • Supercharger in Yenkos? Put the crackpipe down bro.

  • damn hot build guys, old style n all... great!

  • What a great car, one of my favourite muscle cars ever built. If you would like to learn how to restore your muscle car for free please click my user-name.

    David C. Atkin

  • Actually no, they weren't supercharged. They had a copo spec 429 bbc. The s/c stands for Yenko Super Car.

  • the Yenco S/C had a supercharger in it factory when ya showed under the bonnet there was no super charger in it

  • very well done !!

  • P.S. I had a 69 Camaro 30 years ago. Best car I ever owned. I plan to build a 69 Pro Touring that has everything I ever wanted my old 69 to have. Basically all of the stuff DSE has come up with, along with comfy supportive seats and some other interior goodies. Something I can drive for a thousand miles without getting sore.

  • No disrespect meant, but I never understood why people went through the trouble of labeling/building their car as a Yenko, when it wasn't an original one. Some folks even try to pass theirs off as a "real" Yenko Chevy. Clearly this is a GREAT car. but I don't think you need the Yenko decals and interior treatment to say so. Someone would gladly buy it for a good price without the Yenko name on it.

  • Adopt me.

  • When I saw this was a restoration project, I thought I found my 69 camaro that my sold in 89...still looking for my hugger orange with a white stripe!

  • the 4 people who dislike this this love mustangs, patriots, the redsox and hate america!!!! lawl

  • @dmavericks41 I second that!!!!, I live in taxachusetts and I HATE the Patriots, Redsox, the Bruins and Mustangs...although I do have to say the new Shelby's are nice, but for that kind of money, i would rather a nice older musclecar, like a '70 Coronet or early 2nd gen Camaro.

  • @formula112967 yes i have to agree there the new camaro could have been better than it was cause the mustang is really nice but i also agree i got a 70 camaro and i just love it. american muscle all day!

  • whelp, better change my underwear. made a bit of a mess

  • niccce it sounds like an angels voice, the angel of muscle cars!!!

  • Those tires look awesome! what size are you running 235/60 15 on front and 255/60 15 on the rear? Sweet car!

  • Car's nice, but needs better sounding exhaust.

  • I BET HE WANTED A ARM N A LEG FOR THIS

  • MUNCIE 4SPD boy's

M22/rc if your gona do it do it Right.

  • dang striaght

  • @wandoX hell yah

  • I got a 97 chevy blazer wanna trade haha j/k

    but thats a badass car!

  • About the description - Chip Foose is an automotive designer, I'm pretty sure he doesn't know much about authenticity of original cars.

Dude what a bad asssssssssss ride.

  • that cars sounds bad ass!!!

  • I bought the copperhead road song I love it. Ty for introducing it to me! I also have a Yenko basically the same car with a 468ci dressed like a 427. 4spd muncie though. Nice car!

  • who goes to all that time and money only to put in a turbo 400! where's the muncie???

  • @4speedcamaro needs a 4 speed hurst

  • @MrGiantstpss needs an m22 rockcrusher 4sp transmission thats what it needs thats what Yenko had but this guys remake is damn good no dought about that

  • @4speedcamaro Turbo 400 can be quicker in a straight line... but I would want the 4 speed for the fun of it. I dont have a 1st gen Camaro so I cannot talk much on this but, I would not do a yenko theme with a small block... I dont actually think I would have a 1st gen with a small block at all, it would be outta there!

  • @TunedPortZ28 just sayin, they obviously built this car for the street. if i was going to build a full on drag car it would be auto but it wouldnt be a 69 camaro either. 3 pedals is hundred times more fun in my opinion on the street or track...2 best camaros i think are 69 zl1 with a 427 and a 69 z28 with a 302. i know a lot of blig blocks that are scared of those 302s

  • @4speedcamaro Yeah, 302. ain't diddly shit. Apparently you don't do physics.

  • @4speedcamaro LOL nice name. Iono maybe they wanted to keep it stock? (Not sure if Yenko's came with auto...) or maybe their mom wanted to be able to drive it or iono there's alot of reasons.

  • That is hot!

  • Lol, whats all this BS about "no good manual RWD cars?" we have the Mustang and the Camaro and i know for a fact both of them can out-perform a BMW for cheaper than a BMW, and better styling, its all around better. Its typical fan-boy crap, "oh i love BMW so its automaticly the best race car on earth and everyone just copied it" screw off dude, LOL, in fact i saw a guy out-handle a Lotus in a 69' Charger, if THAT's possible i know any BMW would fall to a seasoned muscle driver

  • i agree classic not plastic.

  • dude i love your comment cuase i hate BMWs with a passion and well a charger out doing a Lotus thats freakig epic

  • xD thanks, i wish i could find the video of it cause it was really amazing, it was some episode of Bull Run with a 69' Charger vs a newer Lotus Exeige (spelling?) was a challenge where they had to maneuver around a school bus breaking glass rods on the side of the bus i think, again i wish i could find a video it was amazing ;)

  • @69Cabeast in a straight yes on turns....not so much

  • @koglowa what about those races that began in 1966 and ended in 1977 Trans american racing ? every american pony took turns just fine and i recall there being a trans am edition CHallenger and charger both performed great around turns as well american muscle isnt just about straight line 10 seconds at 130mph they can turn drift slide just as well there not these pathetic slow slugs that the ricer fans put them out to be

  • i just jizzed in my pants

  • sweeeet!

  • hell yeah my name is yenko haha like the cars there chill

  • lol! no doubt about that! the cars a pile of crap.(not the camaro,my girls car).

  • Who gives a fuck.

  • bumble bee

  • I'll buy it! 10 BUCKS!

  • chip foose signed the dash on my girlfriends hyundai.we told him that it was a factory ricer,i mean racer.who cares! chip foose is a nobody!seriously though,he signed the korean dashboard.

  • NICE CAR and to whom is nocking imports if i was you i would not talk cause i have seen a ECLIPSE GST AWD SMOKE A VIPER AND I DO MEAN SMOKE the GST had about 500hp at the wheels and the viper was not stock AND Well ameican muscle is nice jap muscle seems to beat it all the time just look at pinks all how when they had the mustang against that nissan or was it a toyata not sure owell

  • @rudyyy60 it dnt beat it all the time what vids have u been watchin....give me a 72 camaro with a 427 rockin that bitch.... n u can take ur eclipse with bout the same horse in it... id put my life on it... u wouldnt smoke it......but thats just ,e....AMERICAN MUSCLE all day every day baby

  • sounds just a little blaty, if i were you i would put some magnaflows on her

  • looks like yellow was the original color

  • looks really good you had a good base vehicle i didnt see no rust on there!

  • there really should b a clutch to make it the best yenko ever!!

  • Comment removed

  • wait....australia makes muscle cars???

  • yep ...or well they did Falcon XB, Holden HQ and so on i used to know more of them but lost memory lolzXD

  • i had a restored shelby gt with a 427 SOHC

  • Restored? SOHC in a Mustang? How did you get it to fit between the shock towers? Where did you mount the radiator? How large of a hole did you have to cut out of the firewall to clear the rear of the block? Restored?

  • that is one nice Yenko Replica ide kill to build one like it

  • australian muscle cars are heaps better than amercian muscle cars

  • bullshit. i am australian and i Know american ,uscle rapes aussie muscle

  • Back in the day sure. Now you have to get the body roll boat called a mustang, an automatic transmission (dodge), or pay 60K plus for a vette.

We had to steal the GTO from you to get a "decent" rwd manual at an affordable price.

Why? Because people love them some front wheel drive automatic gas mileage grocery getters.

BMW is about the only thing you can get now manual rwd, with good suspension and weight distribution.

  • Not true.

There's quite a selection of RWD manuals out there.

I wouldn't say BMW is that good.

I have a '98 BMW 540i, and I had to replace a WHOLE LOT of things on it.

Suspension, rotors, brakes, rear lights in that order.

    All within a couple months.

  • @50chevyguy

If you go used as in 80's and before yes.

If you take BMW, and all 45K plus (when brand new) sports cars out of the picture how many RWD manuals can you name that are newer though?

For those of us who want a car to be be "driveable" and not just "steerable", but don't have the pockets for a vette or M, or hell, don't even feel like paying 30K + for a 1 series there aren't may choices.

Sure, you can learn to left foot brake on your FWD, and I do. It's just not the same though.

  • @stuvy72 but aussie muscle is still quite impressive like the Valaint Charger,FAlcon XB, XA and Landua, and the Holden GTS if there are any i missed please let me know i love the Aussie muscle cars as well as my own home grown

  • @stuvy72 hey, I'm an American and i still think the Pontiac G8 and the Holden Commodore are awesome cars. you Australians know what you're doing

  • COPO- Central Office Purchase Order. Back in the day, if you wanted special options on your new chevrolet, you went to the dealer and filled out a COPO form. Another option available to the new purchaser, you could go to the plant and watch as your car was assembled on the line, and put the first mile on it yourself. Customers came first back then. Never see that again. Nice 427.

  • Very nice description. My dad owned a 69 COPO before he had to go and get married :P

  • how true. customers came first back in the day...

today they forget u after the sale

  • aint that the sad truth ..ahh thegood ole days

  • nice find

  • AHHH that thing sounds wicked!!!

  • yea, it almost doesn't sound too healthy too me?

  • i got a question, whats is a yenko? and is a copo mean it came with the corvette engine?

  • a Yenko is a rare camaro. a guy by the name of Yenko(car dealer) ordered these camaros and pretty much just upgraded them performance wise from it's original condition(of course when they were brand new). In a nutshell basically that is what a Yenko is. Badass camaros.

  • haha thats sick, and the copo's are the ones with 427 vette engines...right?

  • possibly, idon't know much of anything about the copo's

  • nope just the 67 came with a 427 vette motor. they changed it in 68 and the copo isnt much different from the yenko camaro

  • the 69 copo's came with a around 550hp stock 427 all allumium big block chevy engine. these with headers and slicks will run i belive 10.47 secs on the quarter i mean thats the quickest one ran with just slicks/headers

  • Don Yenko Baically Chevy's own Carrol Shelby but unlike Shelby Yenko was told to keep his stuff secretive for a while ..I would say it work not may people know bout them and its 40 yrs later

  • NOthing like good ole american muscle

  • needs flow masters sound like cherry bomb turbo muffs or a glass pack

  • it looks like from the pics he put the stock exhaust on there...definitely needs some flows

  • fuck u that car sounds sick and flowmasters suck yourm moms hairy balls

  • what exhaust is on that damn thing? Glasspacks?

  • when he takes off it sounds like its farting lol

  • Fuckin little kid.

  • when littl rice rockets take off they sound like there farting so shut the fuck up this car will probly smash on your car.

  • Dude where can we get those still photos of your car as a background?!

  • Press pause and hit PrtScrn (print screen) key. Open Paint and Paste it into the blank file.

  • -_-....

  • Thank God! A Muscle Car WITHOUT flowmasters!!

  • what cam size are you running??

  • i don't like that new yenko.

    its too bulky for me.

  • omg that is like a exact replica of my dads camaro only dif that i can see is the rims nice ride

  • That is a nice car. But, it is not a true Clone. 27 Yenko Camaro's were fitted with TH-400 transmissions. They used a Hurst Dual Gate shifter as used in 442 & GTO's but with a small funky plastic console. Also, all 69 Yenko's were COPO X44 cars. Meening they were "Bare Bones" stripped V-8 cars. No wheel well trim, drip rail mouldings or side scallop chrome. Check out a video of mine. But as stated, that's a nice car.

  • its alos missing the vynale top

  • Vinyl tops were put on mostly to cover a flaw from the factory. Unless the customer ordered the car with one.

Also, use your spell check on your computer.

  • it was pretty late where i live when i wrote the comment and i try not to rely on Spell check i would rather show my mistakes Im human after all but yaa i know what you mean on the vinale tops just most of the yenkos i have seen have them

  • Ce que vous dites est beaucoup plus vrai pour les chryslers, la finition des GM étais beaucoup mieu et il n'y avais pas vraiment de camouflage comme ont le fesait chez chrysler.

  • that is one zesty car

  • exhaust?

  • Did Yenko build "automatic" cars? I thought they were all 4 speed cars??? Or maybe that's all you hear about?

  • there were only a handfull built with autos...and i believe theres only around 8 real yenkos with autos currently in existance but i could be wrong about that.

  • Rather a really wellbuilded clone or replica, than a bad clone/replica, any way.

    Great car =)

  • wht its say's the engine its replica? nice car bro

  • What are you talking about?

  • wahhhhhhh i want one you are so lucky i cant find a chassis anywhere GOD DAMN IT I WANT IT and to make it worse thats what i was going to make mine look like lol

  • That Thing Was Pos Yall Turned It In To A Beast GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • man this is by far my favorite camaro! yellow yenko, the color contrast is perfect and these are mean machines! sweet car, congrats!

  • was there a picture of this car in the december 2007 issue of camaro performers magazine?

  • Nope, this car hasn't been in any magazines. There are many other DY Yenko replicas like it though.

  • Gimme Gimme Gimme !!

  • It has factory GM manifolds and factory correct three chambered exhaust. The same way they rolled off the line back in 1969

  • beautiful!!!!!

  • Whats the song?? =)
