The MMB does a different show every home game, which means they usually have one week to get a show on the field while high school bands only do one show the entire year. If by better, you mean how the forms look, then yeah maybe, but I know I'd rather be entertained by the MMB than watch a high school band try to impress judges with the same show they've played for months. btw i prefer the MMB's version of OZ.

I was in TBDBITL all the way through college. I respect the UM quite a bit, and that is what makes our rivalry so awesome. The mutual hatred and the mutual respect between the two schools can't be matched by any other school. I liked your half time show with all the puns and jabs. We do it too. @ieatglue44 A little more sober comment here. What do I see in Michigan's future? 7-5 seasons from here till DickRod is gone. I think that UM will do like they've done this year-win some OOC's, beat some mediocre B10 teams, but never offer a serious threat to the top-tier B10 teams. To win in the B10 you MUST have size and defense. Neither of those are part of DR's playbook. If you want to see UM's future just look at WVU's past. A fun to watch team that overachieved in a weak BE. JMHO. OH!!

@ieatglue44 see...that's just it...I AM sure. Any team that lets another throw 60+ points down on it is lightyears from being truly competitive. Those are teams that are basically giving up on each other and their coaching staff. That they can't find it in themselves to come up with ONE stop is perhaps iL football, but not the UM that I know. Couple that with the fact that you guys have NO recruiting and that players DO NOT like DR, you have a recipe for disaster. UM rues the day they hired DR.

5 turnovers. I believe 3 of them were within OUR 30 yd line, which led to td's for Ill. This was regulation. So that's 21 points that were gimme points for Ill., and another 14 minimum to stay in triple OT. So 24 points on real scoring drives. Not a defensive achievement by any measure. But our off. is still capable of 45 points in regulation with 5 turnovers. We're only a few years and recruits from being one of the best teams out there.

Poking a little fun at your opponents is fine (especially since the football team can't beat them). Glorifying a criminal act (a premeditated assault by the Ohio U mascot) is a typical classless act by U of M. Regarding the rest of the show, fun theme, but hardly a marching band show of note ... with a few exceptions, the band itself hardly moves and makes only a few very simple formations.

OSU student and high school drum major here... great show I have to say. I was never too high on Michigan's band but this was a good performance. Honest critique: Narration was lame, Denard/Pryor joke was stupid, formations were cool, music was arranged well, great use of Nittany Lion, funny reference to bobcat (best tackle all day), but will never be as good as TBDBITL

I agree with you on the narration and the other elements (especially the tackle by the bobcat), but T(so-called)BDBITL dreams of being as good as the MMB. The title you guys use for your band really applies to Mr. Revelli's band. The Michigan Marching Band has never not been the best traditional style marching band.

Second, I highly doubt the intention was to do an exact replica of the script. I'm sure you practice the Script a lot, considering it's your trademark. This is one set in an entire halftime show that was designed to be an entertaining gimmick in the first place... relax!

Fantastic job MMB. Glad to see the hate is still there and at least one our bands has the balls to go after the other school.
