I love this film and think that it's one of the most overlooked and underrated Fantasy films since 2000 (along with Stardust and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). Visual effects were decent. Nicole Kidman was stunning and very beautiful villainess. Dakota Blue Richards and Daniel Craig were great too. Hope they'll make a sequel
I see NO threat in his movies I have read alot of the negitive comments that come from the christians and just because this man who is a free thinker and not afraid to show it i ADMIRE him for this yet it does not mean that he is "dangerous" for his way of thinking, I agree that it is the christians who are dangerous and well history has yet to show Witches or an Atheist EVER!! has killed for what they follow.

That is a very unbalanced view, many dangerous people have lived on this earth and their backgrounds as diverse as you can imagine. Be careful not to fall into the same kind of bias as those you criticize. Your statement about christians is no better than a christian stating that witches are dangerous. And by the way these are fantasy witches, not "real" witches.

That is what makes life such a slow and studied work...we can't make broad judgments - - every case is different, there are countless exceptions, and things don't always match up to neat 1-to-1 ratios. Beneath the affiliations, names, and titles, you have people. "Atheist," "Christian," "Witch"...all just words. We like to name things, but rarely is the name ever enough for what goes on beneath.

FICTIONAL! this is not painting a picture or casting a negative view on religion as a whole; i believe it encourages us to be contemplative of many possibilities that may be true both religious and atheist and i have never before read such a text; it could almost be called a work of philosophy in my opinion... "pullmanism..." has a ring to it lol
