xrs is 2.4L, even then those motors don't put out much power, commuter car, what do you expect. XRS is just a cheap competitor to the gti, wrx, and speed3. spend the extra small margin and get one of the latter, 3 very,very good cars for high performance on small budget people.

4spd? um the xrs is a 6 spd with diff suspension, sway bars, an upper front strut bar, 2zzge motor (not the 1zzfe found in all other corolla's) really man its a sleeper i hated the corolla for the longest time but i ended up buying the xrs due to it being alot cheaper than a civic si but also faster

If it kicks hard, it means it wasn't making power before it engaged, and the engagement point is too high. Plus, dropping the lift engagement would make it easier to stay on lift through upshifts.
they do and they dont man, apexi makes a piggy back for the celica but you have to make a harness adapter for the corolla xrs and hydra makes a full stand alone which this car used. you can tune the lift to a lower rpm idk why they didnt. thats the only thing that sucks bout the xrs when it falls out of lift, i have mine tuned to engage at 5500rpms and it doest fall out of lift at all between gears

those gauges were cool but they don't make them anymore lol they don't really make shit for these cars anymore you have to mod celica parts or look like hell for vibe gt or matrix xrs parts
