i completely strip it and clean everything with q-tips like a real gun idk how it gets dirty without gunshot residue and use silicone or hoppes on the cloth to clean the barrel

@JustinACTairsoft - I use .22cal dry patches and thats about it. I use q-tips every so often to clean the load breach because it gets bb residue after awhile.

@Danph77 Ehh KWA's TMP n' MP-7 make it hard for me to choose. The Steyr just looks more rounded and easier to pull around without catching things and breaking it, but the MP-7 has H&K's world renowned name on it.

Does the loading nozzle ever come into contact with the hop up bucking? If so, lubing it could be a bad idea; I've heard the KWA MP7's bucking loves to absorb silicone, swell up, and create some serious problems with the gun...Let me know, I plan on buying this!

@MadeInAsiaFilms - Yes, it has a serious problem with the bucking. I was informed by KWA Techs that the best thing to do is...if you are using green gas...your good to go...if you are using propane...put some oil in and basically when you fill the mag up with the gas/oil mixture it will take care of lubing the gun :)

Danph, I have a question for ya. Was scrimming with this thing and some dirt was getting on the BBs as I crawled through the bush.

Can I just rinse the feeding chute was water and dry it to make sure its free from dirt? Then lube all the parts you said? Possibly the spring as well?

@Dilo22 - Yea that will be fine. Wash the dirt off by rinsing or by wiping it off with a cloth. Then make sure its dry and then lube the gun.

Welcome, also updated details...Only lube through the magazine...if you use green gas that will be sufficient if you use propane make sure to get some silicon in the mag. Other than that avoid silicon oil on the bucking and in the barrel...Keep them as dry as possible. If you want to still lube the bolt with a small layer on your finger that is fine.

Hmm, well it could be the magazine...have you tried any others? On the MP7; likewise with most real guns, the bolt is held back by the magazine follower pushing up on the bolt catch. I am not really sure what else it could be. Mine exhibited the same attributes before as well. If its not what I mentioned above then see what a KWA Tech has to say.

It worked alright, I did have trouble with it and had to RMA it to KWA for repair. I would say if you want it...its worth the money, but at the same time you might have a problem with the hop up bucking

And also, if you use the same level of "in dept maintains" on your real firearms, they end up jaming or misfiring.

Same thing happens here, if you only take out the bolt ones in a wile, and dump some oil into the cylinder.

I do know that it takes a bit of special tools, and perhaps a hint of skill, to take the gun apart, but there is no other way to truly clean it, and lube it right.

@Danph77 actually using oil is also bad for the hop up rubber. The rubber will absorb the oil which causes it to enlarge. Enlarged hopup = not good.

I am aware of that. I have had the problem before. You only need to use green gas or if you use propane add 3 drops of shock oil in the tank or adapter and that will be good enough.

No, dont think so. There is a way but its not going to be easy.

The hammer and trigger mechanisms are of a slightly different design. The bolt carrier and internal lower receiver of semi-automatic versions are milled differently, so that the firing mechanisms are not interchangeable.
