  • epic guitar riff ... it's because of Glenn Hughes that I don't like some of the 1974-1975 Purple songs; Bolin was awesome!

  • great

  • It"s John Lord key riff....Deep Purple without Blackmore? No way...

  • @NINOABSNABSN You mean the main riff was Jon Lord's? No, it was taken from a James Gang (with Bolin) song. I think it was "The devil is singing our song".

  • BLAME THE FUCKING INDONESIAN PROMOTERS FOR GIVING HIM MORPHINE AND MADE HIM SLEPT ON HIS ARM FOR 8 HOURS, YOU'RE FUCKING ARM WOULD NUMB IF YOU SLEEP ON YOUR ARM FOR 8 HOURS, WHO COULD PLAY GOOD WITH A NUMB HAND? It's because of this Bolin seems like a shity guitar player that cannot improvise on stage in Budokan, Bolin is a great Guitar player, and look at Jon's expression he still looks like he's scared from the Indonesian Nightmare that happened to them... :'( get well soon Jon!~ RIP Bolin

  • Sprintimeboy is right, from 60 to 90 th still super music

  • I love MK4 SO FUCKING MUCH! The GROOVE.

  • Paice is Ace!!

  • I meant MK IV, lol

  • MK III FTW

  • @Sprintimeboy DP definitly started in the 60ties. every period has its own authority!!!!!!! I like them all, and all bands, coming out of DP

  • this was when they were at their badest

  • desgraça com o purpleee

  • 1 disliked this, i can't believe it...

  • the greatest band only deep purple rainbow and led zeppelin

  • @firesmell I agree 100%

  • Awesome vocals at the beginning of the song; You can walk through fire...!!! Coverdale at his best!!!

  • ..great performance!!

  • David Coverdale is a beast here(rock)

  • I love this song! I think Come Taste the Band it's one of the best album from Deep Purple without Ian Gillan, Glover and Blackmore! Great Mark IV!

  • Awesome video!! Love this era of Deep Purple. Coverdale is great!

  • Great !

  • Love te clip, love Bolin.. But Jezus Christ def not purple. Tommie's great but so outta place.

  • holy crap 1975 rules

  • Great song; Luv the Jon Lord solo. Different in a good way. Luv Jon Lord's Hammond B3 flavours as well

  • Any group with Lord and Paice IS Deep Purple !!!!!

  • this band is so fucking awesome

  • Paice is filthy in this vid. Aggression and skill all rolled in together. Personally I like the music produced by this line-up the best. They were all in the their prime. Not many (if any) bands could pull off a performance like this one today. Bolin and hughes brought some funk into the equation and it works so well. And then there are the harmonies between Hughes and Coverdale. A standing ovation from me.

  • @SilverTounge85 blackmore and gillan arent deep purple, deep purple is them

  • I'm very privileged to be watching this footage. Remember listening to "Last Concert in Japan" back in 1979 and liking some of the material realising it wasn't a great album. Fortunately it was eventually rectified with "This Time Around" though I shouldn't have had to wait almost 25 years for it!

  • hmm cool 8-)

  • No Gillan and/or Blackmore, no Purple

  • @SilverTounge85 no Lord no purple.

    Today no blackmore either.

    Only Paice left..

Today purple is a tribute act to its former glories.

  • @leppardsnake Exactly and sad.Im gonna see them for the 4th time this .

But i dont see them as Deep Purple anymore. For me Purple are MK1,2,3,4.Those were the glory days and the great songs came from these line ups.Only 3 songs are classics since Morse came.I dont blame him though.

I just see them as a Gillan,Paice,Glover performing Purple classics with 2 other great musicians Airey and Morse.

Imagine if Paice leaves and Gillan saying its still DP without Paice.

MARK 3 AND 4 MY FAVOURITES

  • @77elvistheking agree with you completely.

Mark 3/4 also my favorites although the first to marks were great as well!

  • This was a great period of time for Deep Purple. Don't get me wrong I love Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, and Roger Glover, but Coverdale, Hughes, and Bolin are all great musicians and this is a fine example of that.

  • @XtremeCam Totally agree with your comment. I like Purple with Steve Morse as well.

  • @gershwinriff Oh yeah, Morse is a great guitar player. Just goes to show you can't go wrong with Deep Purple, now doesn't it? :P

  • @XtremeCam I totally agree. Come Taste The Band is the most underrated album from DP. It taught me to play guitar heavy riffs :). And it was funk mixed with heavy metal. At that time there were no such mix actually :)

  • @XtremeCam

    You are absolutely right!

    MK4 is the best!

  • glenn hughes rocks

  • By this point Deep Purple were a soul and funkock band. Hughes & Boling destroyed the band with their musical influences and drugs. Thank God Gillan, Blackmore and Glover returned 9 years later.

  • thank god that you´re that deaf...........COME TASTE THE BAND , is way better that all the shit that they are doing now, far bette than the House of Blue album..........TOMMY BOLIN RULES....also gillan has not delivered a decent singing perfomance since 1987......he´s been sucking since then

  • Man, Paice is a wicked drummer!

  • I personally like him better than Bonham, though they're different (?)

  • @piafounet Bonham and Paice have distinctive sounds I would agree.

  • what di u get from?

  • search in google deep purple rises over japan
