  • Im currently attending his fiqh of dawah course in MN and mashallah.....this shaykh had us in tears. No, none of us "cried" but he sure can put katt williams out of business if you know what I mean. Funniest shaykh hands down mashallah.

  • i gave up the Friday sabbath service but still has a part in me some where i dont know how to change that is their a surat that should be read for this

  • I gave up music, and Alhamdulilah that was the best decision I've ever made! May Allah help us stay away from what we all gave up.

  • please don't tell me that was really dog poop..... :(((((

  • Nice house

  • I like your work but let me explain why its irrelevant ...One scene of a movie is a part of the movie....a segment.....you can cut out its not a mixture its not divided through out the movie ....so if you want to compare it to brownies then the scene is one piece of doog poo on the side of the brownie that can be CUT OUT ...or DELETED....not a mixture ....i do not agree ...

  • @Thejadjadjad The effect of the one bad scene is long-lasting though. You know how being exposed to something for a short while will leave no effect, but long-term exposing will leave effects? That's what's done here, if you watch too much movies and/or TV.

Also, it's obvious to notice by now that these movies and TV shows purposely sneak these sinful scenes in; by including it in as many things as they can, the exposure to it is longer-lasting. Our corrupt youth today is the result of this.(TV)

  • This is a nice video and effectively demonstrated.

But my question is , instead of quit watching movies altogether, we muslims can create programs, movies, shows which are good, without a piece of anything bad into it.

its just like saying, since there are bad books in the market, we should stop reading. rather we should write better books and recommend them to others as well.

as mahatma gandhi has said,"hate the sin , not the sinner"

  • MashaAllah! This shaykh.. ;) This is creative da'wah. I hope you get the reward of influencing me into stopping a lot of things. Like you said, haram or not, some things consume too much time.

I gave up music and it's brothers and sisters about a year ago. I can say, I DO feel wayyy more alive without it. You know, music has that "control" thing. It makes you sad and happy at times. No more of that. Not to be all braggy but.. happiness just comes. No need no shaitan singing in my ear. :D

    JZK!

  • owhh I dont really watch TV as much as before but i really want to give it up completely and focus on memorising the Qur'an but when my family watch TV and i enter ithe living room i kinna get carried away PLEASE whoever reads this comment make du3ah for me Allaah enable me to utilize my time wisely because on yawmul hisaab even the ANGLES will say they did not worship Allaah properly SUBHAN'ALLAAAH!

  • awwww the cat is so cute! One thing that I left - well I didn't leave it - but I desperately need money and applied for a job in a supermarket, but it would have involved me to scan items such as alcohol and tobacco across the tills... so I ripped my application form and never applied. However 1 year on I am still searching for a job that won't involve me working at the tills... :( but I am trying to be patient - insha'Allah something better happens...

  • Assalam o alaikom,

First of all Jazakallahu khairan for your work I really have benefited already a lot from your talks.

I was really happy to whatch this video as from the very beginning in my life I have been avoiding movies for the same reasons. And now I have stopped music too.Alhamdolillah.

May Allah SWT bless you with Jannatul Firdaus and with the blessing of seeing His Glory Ameen.

    Stay Blessed

  • I was so surprised when you got to the thing you quit for the sake of Allah because it's the same as mine. Movies, TV, novels and music used to be pretty much all I did (in between praying five times a day, eating and sleeping). I always used to wonder why I never felt Iman, why the Qur'aan didn't affect me, why I didn't yearn to be loved by Allah. Alhamdulillah so much changed once I started to spend less time living in fiction among characters who never take the time to remember their Creator.

  • Music and Movies, but then i got really lazy but i'm still free from them Alhamdulillah

  • There is no T.V in our home and watching movies and listening music is 100% not allowed by my parents. I can assure everyone from my personal experience that life is MUCH MUCH MUCH better without T.V, movies and songs......

  • um, assalamualaikum... um, hi, i hope you threw out that fork, that bowl and that casserole dish ^.^'. . . jazakAllahu khair

  • I found a pharmacy that would not make problem of my ghimaar and i could always pray on time. If you give something up for the sake of Allaah, He wil give you A better one!!! Thats one of the things i gave up for the sake of Allaah Wali'hamdulilaah.

  • In my second year of Pharmacist study. I start changing, and my clothing style changed too alhamdulilaah. The problem started when i had to walk internship. Normaly the school searcht for us, when they have found one place for me. They informd them of my Ghimaar. The pharmacy refused to accept me unless i would change my ghimaar to a smaller one. So gave up that internship for the sake of Allaah. Wallilhamdulilaah, Allaah made it easy for me the Third year.

  • Sorry but I had to give this a thumbs down.

That was too extreme don't you think? Using dog poop in something wholesome as food? Push your imagination a bit how about using a rotten egg instead? You don't need to use something as disgusting as dog poop to make a point.

  • @ArabicRescueDOTcom Do you think even after making a point that it is very convincing to stop watching movies? There are more direct arguments and sincere talks and digging into real (personal) examples to connect with the audience and drive the point home to the their hearts. How about using your imagination on how to help your brothers in Libya, Palestine using these social networks? Muslims are getting slaughtered while we talk about brownies :(

  • Hahahaha!, the begginning made my day.Masha-Allah. i love kamal el mekki !!

  • thats a nice house is ti really yours?I will not watch a movie with a bad part in it even if I pay for it.

  • looool

  • I tried the exercise Shaykh Kamal Al Makki taught, on proving that the Prophet (saw) is a true Prophet of God, and the person at the end said ''these are good arguments, it doesnt prove any facts, but I take his (the Prophets) word for it BUT that doesnt mean I have to follow him''

    I was just thinking ???!!!

  • JAzak Allahu khairan

I have a similar story. I use to have a facebook and I spent alot of time on ti, even though I would watch lectures, I would still spent alot of time chatting with my friends and joking around. I noticed I started lacking in reading Qur'an and books and listening to lectures. With a help from a friend I gave it up, and now I feel so happy, cause I have more time to read Quran, listening to lectures, and spent time with my family, alhamduillah!

  • barak allahu feek i Love it

I left my privious work (where they listenned to music, and wore pants) for Allahs and then i got a better Job where i can wear my khimar as a muslimah alhamdu lillah

  • ahhh i feel sick!!!! loool

    subhanallah!!!

    so funny mashallah.

  • Masha Allah!

This is funny and really unique way to spread the word of Allah!

Can we have you and your pals to Pakistan?

I am a University student and we really need some people over here who can tackle the new "weirdo" generation of youth.

  • The fact that musical instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known to be haraam, i.e., zinaa and alcohol: if they (musical instruments) were not haraam, why would they be mentioned alongside these things? (adapted from al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 1/140-141)

  • Assalam Alikum, Well I stopped listening to music for the sake of Allah SBT. According to Saheeh Hadith:“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).

  • Great video mashallah. I'm wondering if i could download this and translate it into my language (Albanian) so that more people get to understand these kinds of videos! Please let me know that.

  • @drilonjaha JZK. Nuk ka problem ! Feel free to take anything I have online and translate it if you feel it's beneficial. None of my material is copyrighted.

  • @amongstthefew As Salaamu 'alaikum..JazaakumuLaahu Khair for the funny, inspirational, and beneficial videos ya ikhwaan...I was just wondering if you could ask Sheikh Al Makki if tucking your shirt in exposes 'awrah because I heard this from a renowned sheikh and he said it is haraam to tuck a shirt in because it exposes a man's 'awrah...again, Baarak ALlaahu Feekum

  • haha, funy. I love you brothers for the sake of Allah!!

By the way, that poop was not real right? Insha Allah..............

  • music for quran, alhamdulillah

  • I used to love watching Korean dramas, because they focused more on family relations and were cleaner... But gradually I saw them delving into issues that went against Islaam, stuff like that it's OK to be a lesbian or a gay.. I gave up.

I can learn about family morals and values from purer sources that wouldn't send mixed messages.

In the past I also gave up music when I was learning about Islaam and I just knew that the Quran that I am about to memorise can't be mixed with something haram..

  • @Muslimah530

I have struggled a lot in the past trying to get my act together with many many things in life.. like procrastinating and not being present or goal oriented.. I have overcome these obstacles that were becoming a huge hindrance in my academic and social life..

  • u have a point there...a very good point indeed...jazakallahu khair..

  • i gave up facebook [hopefully] for the sake of Allah (because Allah knows best the reality of our intentions) and I have seen great improvement since, alhamdulillah. Now, whenever I temporarily activate my account on facebook to run an errand, it's like I can feel my imaan decreasing. Alhamdulillah, Allah swt allows me to feel this, and that He granted me the tawfeeq to give up fb.

    jazakallahu khair for the video

  • At first I didnt get the point you were trying to make! But Mashallah u did a good job! That makes perfect sense!! Something I've given up and Allah has made my life better from it, is hanging out with certain people, nun muslims, and people who drink or get into trouble. Since than I've had no more drama in my life and I feel more at peace with real friends instead of fake friends who bring you down with them.

  • absolutly logic

  • is sheikh kamal malaysian?

  • I gave up facebook and now spend that time watching islamic reminders on youtube Haha

  • @MYLwriter OMG what the heck!!!!!??? I thought I was the only one =D

  • @HamletSlaya101 Really? Wow that's cool :)

  • Hahaha, Kamal is one funny dude

  • am not a Muslim....

but u man are cool... ! much respect

  • eww are you going to ever use that fork and plate and pan and spatula again!!!

    p.s i know its fake :)

  • Ahem! hello Kamal.. well this video gave me a lot of great ideas.. now I am considering making a nice batch of something for my dad and his girlfriend with a bit of dog poop in it.. thank you so much!!!!

  • lol, masha allah, that was great story and made me think of my life.

I gave up bf/gf stuff because I read a fatwa from islamqa .. I also gave up shaving my beard because when I was in madarasa, I heard the hadith of the prophet (pbuh) and Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for me to grow beard.

    keep bringing videos.

    Jazaka allahu khair

  • Watching movies make the viewer stay still while everybody else is moving forward.

A cat purring while touching it is a peaceful experience. Do you washed your hands before making the brownies? Because Mohamed and the bros. forgot it before eating them. Very funny the last part. xD

  • the cat at the beginning annoys me . . .

  • Well you know what...I think now I might leave brownies for the sake of Allah...I wud never wanna see it again :S :S

  • Hi Kamal, any chance you can do an eps on.. "meeting her dad" lol so im say im going to meet a girls date to ask his promission to get to no her more etc with the intention been to get married etc. what would be the best way to go about it and some dos and donts. thanks brother

  • subhanallah... i shared the same feeling... i have stopped watching all indecent movies even though they contain a bit of undecency..

like the malay saying, bit by bit one day it can become a hill!!

    god bless u

  • LOVED THIS WOOOHOOO!!!

  • The cat is just so adorable mashaaAllah! and its purring!!

  • well for one month i decided to stop listening to music and after one month i listened to music again and i got disgusted so i deleted all my music bu also during that one month i watched lectures and listened to QURAAN and alhamdullilah i don't listen to music anymore

  • @blazingdragonfootbal

Masha Allah... May Allah bless you.

  • @blazingdragonfootbal I hope that will happen to me too :/ Do Dawa for me brother :( and excuse my weak english.

  • Message... received!

  • Alhamdulillaah. Again, not getting deep into the halaal/haraam issue (where I believe firmly that music is haraam), either way, getting music out of ones life allows for greater acuity to al-Qur'aan. When I listened to music, it would come into my mind continually, but now my heart is lightened by al-Qur'an instead, and I am happier. Giving these things up can be hard at first, but Allaah makes it easy and we never want to go back.

  • Alhamdoolilah brother, After listening to your lecture "End of Music" I stopped listening to music, subhan Allah, I think I will also give up movies insh'Allah.

I do have a question: Seriously was that real poo that you put in the brownies??

  • Left music....had MUCH MORE time to read Quran...

  • Assalamalikum, Alhamdhulillah Allah has blessed so many brothers and sisters with Islam and changed their lives from animals to humans...Allah did the same for me, He blessed me with a little knowledge which led me to leave so many things for His sake...May Allah increase you and the team of ATF in knowledge and wisdom and bless with you with more daa'wa work...InshAllah..Ameen

However I want to ask you something sheikh is it possible for me to support you through my skills as a Web Developer.

  • Awh come on brother Kamal! You could have just TOLD us the brownie story instead of SHOWED us the story :) Hehe.

Well, I pretty much gave up music. And as a result, Allah SWT has blessed me with a love for listening to Qur'an. I wiped all of the music off iTunes and replaced it with Qur'an. Same with the car CD. I've memorized more Qur'an, been able to understand it better, and love listening to it. Better yet, music just sounds so trashy now.

Jazakallah khair ATF and Kamal! Salaam! -Ali

  • You should consider working for peace tv (Zakir Naik's channel)...become more world wide and get your messages across!

  • @Sultana699 I don't have a problem with that, but i've never been invited! JZK for the benefit of the doubt though.

    Wasalam

    KE

  • @amongstthefew Salamz sheikh, I'm pretty sure you don't need an invite to do something for a good cause, although I'm not saying what you're doing now is not good enough. We just need your face on telly.

P.S Can you please do a talk on hijaab in depth? Thank you

  • @amongstthefew in movies, especially western, you see women in inproper hijab and men we can only look at a women once and that too if seen mistakenly(only exception is that if there is an emergency or if an intention of marriage). so watching movies is not right.

  • @Sultana699 sorry but no, we would not like for Kamal to leave our city, its become light after it was dark... Allah bless you ya sheikhna =) so happy to say that ... and I love your weekly classes

  • Good work! May Allah bless you and help your dawah work.

  • salaam

i am soo happy that i started researching more about islam because i find peace and joy, i gave up watching t.v and playing video games. i used to be so much into the video especially gta type games but then i thought for a moment that t.v and video games are wasting my time when i can be searching about islam or working out and getting in shape. t.v and video games are like two magnets which attracts the heart to the dunya. but by Allah's grace i had given those things wasteful up.

  • @5graffitiartist5 wa alaykum asalam, you know they say the heart is like a glass, if it's emptied from water it will immediately fill with air. If your heart is not full of the love of Allah it will fill with something else. The wise person is the one who contemplates what competes with the love of Allah in his/her heart and then removes these objects. May Allah increase you in wisdom and keep you steadfast. Thanks for watching.

SubhanAllah a very wise and undoubtedly true saying. Jazakallahu khair for sharing that. Who should I quote if I want to pass this quote along?

  • Salam Sheykh, first of all i want to let you know that me and my family are watching your show from Munich (Germany).

Me and my brothers (2) love your style of teaching things. May Allah (swt) bless you and your family.

Could you please tell us in one of the next episodes how you became such a knowledgeable person. Where did you study? What did you study? How long did u study? What would you recommend for the youth? Please share with us your comprehensive amount of experience. JazhakALLAHkheir

  • @maiwandkarim Salams to you and your family in Munchen! I have visited Germany propably more than twenty times. I used to visit a small down called zwiesel near the Czech border, but I also visited Munich and almost all other major cities. I love your topic suggestion and will add it to the list. Please give my salams to your family and thank them for watching. By the way, I still remember...In München steht ein Hofbräuhaus: Eins, zwei, g'suffa . . .!

    wasalam,

  • p.s. what do you mean you live alone aren't you married?

  • I totally was not expecting a funny video when I clicked on the "Play" button, but I am literally on the floor laughing. This guy's expressions are priceless! As someone who has worked in the foodservice industry, I especially loved 5:16 to 5:34. Never trust a certificate on a wall! As for something I have given up, I gave up my TV nearly four years ago. It made me more productive for a while, but I have since developed new addictions, namely YouTube! People have to stop posting good videos!

  • @WebNutritionist Glad you enjoyed the video! But I know what you mean, when i had my restaurant in VA, all the people used to go this one place that let you cheat on the food safety exam. So you're right, the certificate on the wall is nothing. But STILL don't argue with me! May Allah assist you in making the best use of your time and may you be a source of benefit to your community and your Ummah. Ameen.

  • Assalamu aleikum. This might be weird but I've 'left' tight clothes & make up. SubhanAllah as a girl when you get used to appearing a certain way its difficult to change! But alhamdulilah it's feels so great to not have that guilt of knowing I'm doing something wrong & not being strong enough to change it. As a result I feel so much more protected by Allah from the fitnah around me. Oh yeah and it takes so much less time to get ready in the morning :)

  • Salamalikum Kamal El Mekki. Walahi i Love you. You need to come to Toronto PRONTO! I made aruguing with people less of a habit. One major problem i have is i waste my time and i dont do my homework till the last minute. I usually get devulged into youtube videos pertaining to islam and other stuff. (maybe a good video idea insha'Allah)

  • i..well i kinda gave up gg out hijabless, i used to wear it P/T but now im rly tryna persist in wearing it F/T. i started wearin it to sch like mid-term so my schmates were pretty shocked. we kinda distanced from each other since then, as i wld also stop gg out for outings/participating in activities w em since thr wld be boys, n well i din wna waste so much time anymore. of cos it was hard, it still is, since i love being outdoors but oh well. i still get tempted smtimes but im tryin my best..

  • @hudameansguidance

    salam, what is gg?

  • @Pakam3 - waalaikumsalam, oh 'gg' is just a short form for 'going' :)

  • Brother, I had a question, is entertainment a waste of time? For example, if you enjoy watching movies and it makes you happy afterward. Will this be a waste of your time? I am sure there are way better things to do than watching a movie but I am just talking about entertainment in general. Perhaps going to a bowling center. Is it a waste of time?

  • I used to work in a Turkish restaurant, and they had a lot of good food there, and it had a very nice atmosphere, but as a waiter, part of my job was to serve alcohol if the guests ordered it. Alhamdulillah, I got more on top of my deen and i quit that job. I sacrificed the easy money of working as a waiter because I realized that the money had no benefit in it, and that if you leave something for the sake of Allah, He will replace it with something better, alhamdulillah.

  • that cat is soooooooo cute... wow!

  • Assalaamo 'alaykom Wa Rahmatollahi Wa Barakatoh, I left music for the sake of Allaah and now i listen to lectures or quran when i am at the train instead of music.

    Knowledge increases dramatically.

LOL about the dog poop, Its a melted Snickers bar :P. You wouldnt go out like that just to look for poop, you would dress warmer and the nuts in the "poop" were visible

  • @ensafBiH Beautiful! insha'Allah your knowledge will always keep spiking upwards. You are very perceptive and your analysis of the ingredients is excellent. But how do you know it wasn't a dog that ate a lot of nuts? JZK for watching!

  • Is that poop? LOL

  • Mashallah !!! loool loved the video i posted it on my facebook page.... Ya Shaykh that kitchen need a female touch...just saying...lolll

  • @tomsylla What do you mean? That kitchen is extremely clean for a guy who lives alone. I'm a certified food manager so don't argue with me! But on a serious note I actually removed everything from the counter just for the shoot. I didn't want distractions in the background. Otherwise you would have seen the spice rack, kettle, juicer etc! Thanks for watching and for posting on your FB page.

    wasalam

  • @amongstthefew The message and content of the video is really nice but sorry to say, the idea to present it all practically in a video like that is a bit disrespectful. I mean i felt it a little bit disrespectful to mix crap in food and put it in a plate placed in ur kitchen. I mean u could have use some animation etc. anyways may Allah help u keep spreading His message.

  • @MsAabi Salams, you are being very kind with your words. It would actually be haram to mix such ingredients. But watch the very last seconds of the video and insha'Allah that will clarify things to you. JZK for your care and for offering advice!

    Wasalam

  • @tomsylla A female touch? Don't forget the children. xD lol If that kitchen could talk it says that Kamal is a neat organized clean man. He is amongst the few guys of that kind. Assalamu Alaikum.

  • All TV shows, movies and commercials have a common goal, to sell a product or a collective thinking . They link feelings to the product in a way that the human brain does not know the difference, in order to modify people's behavior. That's why you like Betty C Brownies. Do you really like them or is part of a commercial? Well, anti brownies commercial for those who want to quit sugar in their diet and eat nutritional food. Mashallah You are doing great in sharing this kind of lectures.

  • @airoba Good question. I've actually never seen a betty crocker commercial in my life. But there was a while when i lived near the masjid and whenever I made brownies (w/no surprise) brothers would smell them on their way back from salah and come in and destroy them. It is during that period that i tried just about all the brands in the store and settled on BC, because they were the cheapest and I was broke!! 2 boxes for $4! Beyond that, you're right; they all have the same ingredients!

    KE

  • @amongstthefew You mean they ate the brownies like a twinkle of an eye? Brownies are so delicious because of chocolate. I like chocolate very much but I eat it with moderation to stay healthy. And about movies and tv, I don't watch them because reading is more interesting way to develop imagination and safeguard my heart. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences too. May Allah guide you always in the righteous path. Assalamu Alaikum.

  • @muslimatun Mash'Allah. You are quite right about everything you said. Mash'Allah. And may Allah reward Sheikh Kamal El mekki for everything he does for the sake of Allah and for Islam and for us Muslims and may Allah help all others to focus on the right point. Ameen.

  • It's unfortunate how people miss the big picture and focus on little details. The ultimate goal is to please Allah Almighty by following His commands and giving up that which displeases Him in order to reach that goal. Cat and brownies were for entertainment purposes but not the main topic. Sh. Kamal and the brothers working with him(may Allah bless them all) did what they felt would get the message across and their efforts are much appreciated(along with the brownies) ;)

  • ... of course that was a fake :)

Sheikh gave so interesting speech and a good advice as well but u stopped your attention only on that small bad thing?! :) So I think everybody can see now how right was Sheikh Kamal. Even very small bad thing might ruin a lot of good one.

  • @inoora2010 that doesnt matter.we should just take the lesson.

  • At least Kemal likes cats-like I do- so that a man that likes cats cannot be bad either.

  • @MrSiivonen Cats are my favorite animals. I've been keeping cats for 20 years now. I have two right now, but only the orange one would sit still for the video! In one of the future video i will bring my python and see how that goes. Thanks for watching!

    KE

  • @amongstthefew please don't, we want more good videos from you :)

  • aaagh ... you wasted a good ingredients to make your point??? (LOL)

I hope that was a fake.

  • @foodnurd Hey thanks for watching! Your answer is in the last few seconds of the video. Not to worry, not a drop was wasted. The brothers enjoyed all the steamy goodness!

    KE

  • @amongstthefew It looked like a chocolate bar. I think BIG CRUNCH was the one am i right?

  • wow mashAllah...my biggest obstacle was music...before I would spend every living second that i had to spare listening to music...now I got so much free time and im learning islam and working alhamdulilah...and the funny thing is Sheikh Kamal el Mekki's lecture on music was the main inspiration for me leaving music alhamdulilah...

on another note, i like my food nice and average, i dont really like surprises looool

  • In addition just to answer ur question to the full , allhumduillah i was also able to give up "un-halal" aka haram relationships i had with the opposite gender. Im just talking friends wise.

  • Jazakallah Kairan, for that Sheikh

Allhumduillah from the mercy of Allah i was able to give up music, tv, and movies for the most part. Ironic thing was that i listened to your end of music talk after i gave up music and subhanallah how it inspired me even more to stay away. When it comes to TV i have given up for the most part, here and there discovery channel or animal planet documentaries like planet earth still interest me if i find the time in the busy schedule.

  • uuuuuuuuuuufffffffffffffffffffff

Insh'Allah I won't need to use this advice :) Insh'Allah my son will be obedient boy. Ameen.

But regarding watching movies and listening music ;( my country is at the ocean floor :( May Allah help us. Ameen.

    Thank you Sheikh.

  • Hahaha, loved the start and the end.

I reallly like your movie argument; indeed I'd argue that there isn't much good in most movies, anyway.

    Jazak Allahu khayr.

  • o man please dont tell me they actually ate that

  • hahaha very nice! continue insha'Allah

  • JazkhAllah kheir, that was really disturbing to see, but it did get the point across.

Allhamdulilaah I gave up listening to music, it was way before I discovered you "end of music" video which i loved and made a lot of my friends and family listen to it. I did give up watching movies and tv completely for about a year or two because i didn't like the fact that i didn't have more free time for my religion and increasing my iman. Being a fulltime university student u only get so much free time.

  • Assalamu alaikum. Jazak Allah khair ya Shiekh and everyone working with you on this show. Great advice and reminders that are needed for us to accomplish our goals in pleasing our Creator and in bettering ourselves as Muslims insha'Allah. I always benefit from your lectures/advice walhamdo Lillah and look forward to your new work in Da'wah. Baraka Allahu feek.

  • i used to listen to music and i stopped listening to it in my ipod..i try to avoid it with my best of ability..i got my peaceee :D and years bak i left a person who i loved with all my heart! but after i knew it was haram. left him for sake of Allah..and I got unblv blessings from Allah ta'la who has guided gave me co op job..my life changed around ..subhanAllah

  • @samia7756 mashallah good for you! hey i also know a girl named Samia but you probably don't know her shes a MAJOR boshtuu :P

  • Funny video..Since I reverted to Islam in September, I have given up pork, cursing, and not covering my hair. I loved t.v. too, but I haven't watch t.v. in 2 weeks! My biggest issue now is music...it will be my biggest challenge.

  • @truegemmie Wow u r amazing :) may the Allmighty bless you !

  • @truegemmie Assalamu alaikum. Just thought I'd share with you a beneficial lecture about music that helped me and many others walhamdo Lillah. It's also by our beloved Sheikh Kamal El mekki and it's called "End of Music". I'm not able to include the link here but if you search it, you'll find it insha'Allah. May it also help you and others, ameen.

  • Lol, Masaallah beautiful video.

I used to spend so much time on following football (Manchester United) for almost 11 years. It took me this summer to realise football will never change. One week you win and your happy, next week its a different story thus wasting my time.

I gave on music after listening to your "End of Music" lecture.

Alhamdulilah, I have never felt this happy in my life.

Please do a video on loving others for the sake of Allah

    Salam Alaikum

  • Till the end of video I m not sure that it's really dog pup, at the end of video i know that I was right.

    جزاكم الله

  • I gave up college, well actually first I thought it was me chickening out, but after I did it, I realised them were just waswasa, I just felt it was not a good place to be in, and I didn't have a good Muslim group of friends that we could all hang together. I now am a taalibatul 'ilm. Walhamdulillah

Actually I believe I can leave a few more things from my life for the sake of Allah, jazkaAllahu khayran for inspiring videos, and I am keen to know how my life will change after I leave them.

  • Jzk and may Allah reward you all, but how can I get in contact with Sheikh Kamal? I want to talk to him about an issue that I have problem quitting.

  • ahaah with the cat lol!

  • I used to be a Metal Head,

alhamdulah I left all now :)

I remember one time i was in an underground metal gig, and at this time of my life i began praying..so i heard the azan..i went to the corner and prayed while the singer was singing brutal and all the people where head banging :)

i'll never forget this moment in my life.

alhamdulah, Islam is the best gift

  • @mado9111 Salams, a fellow former metal head as well huh? i used to be into that and thought i could never quit. Then one time i got so busy for three days that i didn't have time to listen to music. That's when i realized that it's not an essential part of your day. I had perfectly normal and productive days without it so it can't be that hard to quit. From that point on things only got better. JZK and keep it up!

    wasalam,

    KE

  • LOL LOL LOL ...I dont know which was better, the beginning or the end...LOL

One thing for sure, I am not eating brownies at Sh Kamal's place

  • I love the brownie analogy but I hope that wasn't real dog poop! Something I gave up for the sake of Allah is music. I constantly listened to music in the past, but it's been replaced by Qur'an. The biggest blessing was that my love for Qur'an increased, even memorising it becomes easier when your heart + mind is music free. I can't think of a better trade than that, walhamdulillah!

  • ewwwwwwwwwww, I was eatingggggggggggggggggggggggg lol. But I get the point, jazak Allah khayr. Now should I go throw up? LOL

  • please tell me that was not real dog yuck because the brothers actually took some bits loooooooooooooool.

  • @madina55 it was brownie mix hardened by mixing with some liquid.

  • @traitor323 unfortunately... you are incorrect about the brownie mix. It was much harder and crunchier.
