Males aren't the only ones to make noise otherwise females would've wasted a lot of energy growing those wings for 1 and 2 i buy crickets a thousand at a time to feed my critters I've seen it dozens of times the females softly chirping in intervals especially with a noise male near by the males are just the ones that make a lot of noise you barely notice it when a female chirps
