well it's obviously prop magic...it's just how the props were designed...that's the mystery.. I'm thinking some specifically created chemicals... for picture alteration...the coffee should have been in the pen itself in the first place...to be honest i think the women was in on it, a skilled actress. just remember for the coin part he switched hands before jamming them into the picture...and that makes all the difference for a professional..

well i'm not claiming i know exactly how it's done, but in other magic tricks i've seen trick cups that has a transparent pillar in the middle of it to take up volume, and then the cup is filled with ice to cover it up. so there's actually very little coffe in the cup.
