  • This is pretty cool, where I used to work, (education) learned that if you take circumference of thumb, double it, becomes the wrist, then the neck and then and (lol! well they say..) then becomes the waist, all very cool.

  • @straig First, adam, which I have to guess you are referencing adam and eve (Genesis must be in the qu'ran I guess), was not the first person on Earth. The genesis story as recited in the bible is wrong (and how ever it goes in the qu'ran). This has been shown to be wrong for decades now.

    And the fact that the ka'baa has the golden ratio doesn't mean that it was designed... It means nothing. If I were to write a book and choose some numbers for a structure, I would choose ones that looked good.

  • This is all very arbitrary. I can use ANY ratio and go around my house finding things that fit that. Or how about the fact that all the things on the human body that have the golden ratio are on an idealized body? Who gets to say what an idealized body is, the people trying to demonstraight the golden ratio? I also doubt that many examples are even true. You could just find things with the ratio of 1:1.5 and basically stipulate that its for an idealized object and therefore exactly 1:1.681.

They all contain Fibonacci, or golden ratio, measurements in their structure.

    But that does NOT imply that there was a sentient being who made it, and certainly is not a tool for religious types to use to prove themselves right.

It tells us that some kind of intelligence had created it and had placed it there. Now consider something whoose structure and geometric form is infinatley more complex and encompasses the Golden Ratio and is found in living creaturers and the universe- Is this not also iintelligence in design !

Before the fall of man the Bible says everything was "perfect". After the fall the Earth changed as well as man. Where the climate had once been perfect now it had become imperfect, storms, hurricanes, earthquakes etc. God does not create Tsunamis. They are a result of a fallen world !

Risk is imperfection. If god did not want people to eat the forbidden fruit, then he should have created it in a different dimension. Eternal sin is a little harsh for something that could have been completely avoided.

Before long it has cracked and becomes imperfect. God gives us freewill. We have "choice" to do evil or not. If it were not for choice God would be a dictator!

    Pi times the square of the radius of a circle = the area of the circle, this is the same for all circles, but it doesn't mean anything.

    Things that use the golden ratio as a proportion will function better last longer and still be here today, things that don't are less likely to.

  • @MrMaxTruth I'm a little late on your comment, but no, It doesn't. First, just because this ratio shows up (in an IDEALIZED human body) doesn't mean that that creature was designed. There may be an underlying physical phenomenon that behaves according to the Fibonacci sequence. Evolution may have chosen creatures that had the ratio because it made them better suited to the environment. It may just be a coincidence. The fact that it exists does not point to a designer.
