  • Doesn't everybody know by now that Yamaha and Korg are the same company praising each other into heaven ? And if you want to create yr own original music , karma is just useless....but it helps giving u the illusion that yr the great kb player that yr not

  • Well i run a Yamaha site and obviously I do love Yamaha gear but I have to say the M3 stumps anything Yamaha currently have available. In fact I like it so much I'm picking one up tomorrow :) I was also a beta tester for Karma 2 and it's soooooo much more than you see in the demo's but, as with everything you need to take your time and learn it. Karma can be as easy or deep as the user wants. Nothing else comes close. Don't get tied up in brand loyalty, try it for yourself :)

  • I am a bit disappointed with the M3. Frankly, it does too much for you. As a musician, I can't feel proud of myself when I play the M3.

I'll take a real instrument any day.

  • well said.

  • Who likes Electric Guitar on a keyboard? Sounds like poo! That being said the M3 is impressive overall...I have a yamaha S90ES and I think that I'm gonna have to get one of these. (keeping the s90 tho)

  • well you know what man....i love yamaha but wow...im getting my self one now lol...this keyboard is a five star hands down no other keyboard gets close to it....yamaha has great sounds but not alot of effects like this or synthisized sounds as this....roland does have alot of stuff but way to complicated to work with and this has it all and user freindly...i love it

  • m3 is such a handsdown wiiner. makes u wonder if the korg-haters/yamaha/roland lovers are preventin tis from getting full stars....or issit too obvious already.....

  • Being a musical elitist does not make you cool. Just because Korg is offering ways for people without large amounts of technical skill the opportunity to make great music, does not mean that Korg is selling out. Don't be an elitist.

  • do this has latin styles

  • the beginning sounded like Toots Theilmans, nice.

  • KARMA gives a person unlimited access to things not available in any other keyboards. A little experimentation gives you never before heard sounds of unparalleled uniqueness. You are only limited by your imagination. KARMA is the absolute best thing that has ever been created for synthesizers! If you just want to play a piano, drums, etc., sell your KARMA to a creative person with artistic passion to be different and not more of the same.

  • Karma is just incredible isnt it. The Gen 3 from the oasys on the M3 is just limitless I mean you honestly couldnt peeek it out.

  • Is he afraid to hit the keys at the bottom range whats with the pads

    this guy is pad happy

  • they always stress how instrument has tones of pre-sets...

    WHO THE FUK CARES!!!

its an instrument, its used to make YOUR OWN music... maybe replace those lame pre-set drums and gimme some more bass sounds or FX???

  • I totally agree. You usually don't buy an instrument for the premade backtracks, since you usually don't even use those incase you're not doing a solo career. I think most of us buys the keyboard for the playing functionalities, not for premade backtracks...

  • What's the name of that combi in the very beginning?

  • what are you saying????????? THE NEW motif xs6 synth is killing the m3 barnone

    take that back

  • lazyness? no im a piano player and creating a cord, then automaticaly sampling it is a godsend, creative boost, if u can create your own original cords with karma and let the "non musicians" that u call em have presets then what are you complainig about? you expand your horizons, dont be a hater, just think before you speak.

  • Quite nice representation, but yamaha has better of new synths. We all know that Korg has better synths than yamaha, so they should do more in introducing new features and sounds :)

  • where the hiphop sounds at??!!

  • What the hell? Not EVERYONE is into hiphop ya know... I don't even know what sort of sounds you mean but I'm sure they're in there somwhere!

  • ya man the hiphop beats you can create completly from scratch if you want. This thing is like a smaller Oasys.

  • korg doesn't have any good convincing demos of m3 on youtube except for some demos from cheese meister and expert, stephen karma kay. please korg post some quality stuff, or you lose all market share to motif xs.

  • yea, most of the stuff sounds like an adulterated and not that good video game sound track. As I don't use Karma (I prefer to just play the notes myself, thank you), the few differences I find between the M3 and the Triton Extreme are minimal other than cost. I've had amazing results with the Motif XS series, and the Korg Tritons continue to be reliable workhorses even now. What's up in the open source realm now?

  • For the first 9 months I owned my M3 I had the same opinion about KARMA...until a few weeks ago when I started getting more acquainted with what it can do. It may not always be useful, but the idea is still that KARMA doesn't play for you, but "with" you. And if you use the preset stuff its obviously going to be lame, but if you get familiar with what it can do you can *subtly* add a little extra sound to whatever you play (or not so subtly, like on this video, if that's your thing I guess)

  • Pushing buttons for chords. Another feature for the non musical musicians out there.

  • Seems like anybody can be a producer now days. Thanks Korg for making me feel alot more talented. But I still want one.

  • Great, thanks!
