  • The mag drops free after you remove the flat spring inside the magazine well. I prefer the mags not dropping free, but you have a choice at least.

  • @TaliskerLaphroaig Dude, I pulled my grips and the cross pin and hammered the retaining sheet until the mags dropped free. the sheet also does double duty by acting as a rear magazine guide to keep it from hanging up on the inner frame cut outs, when you fast load a magazine.

I'd say mdify it and keep it in there as a just in case to help you stay in the groove and reloaded when you need that next round up.

    Seeya

    Dude

  • In my area, its only $300

  • You look like Arnold Schwarzenegger's son dude.

  • @kakasanti Now that we know Schwarzenegger's other side, maybe he is!

  • Great review! But if you are a lefty shooter, like myself, would not the 85B model

with ambidextrous controls have been the better choice?

  • in Thailand 2,000 $ up!!!

  • Yeah, hell of a deal for 475. CZ-75b run about $700 in my area.

  • It was a good review, but why put up a review if you haven't shot it yet?

  • Hey Josh G19, I just ordered one myself..haha

  • OMG! about 400 dollars i got to go to US to buy a gun... here in paraguay the cz 75B brand new cost 1300 dollars!

  • cz 75 bd is the most accurate handgun ive personally shot i hit a target in the "T" zone at about 25ft or so. (estimated)

  • My favorite pistol ever! 8 or 10 years ago my dad got one at a gun show for $350!!!! The other day I went to a local gun store and they were priced around $750!

  • Nice gun. Is the first shot double action and all single action after that?

  • @yenhan705eh77 If you choose to put it in double action mode, yes.

  • Or better yet, the ambi 85 Combat with the overtravel adjustable 85C trigger, no FPB with short reset and awesome competition sights!

  • If you're a left-handed shooter, why didn't you get the ambidextrous CZ 85b?

  • Joshua, Your CZ 75B review was so good, I don't know if you realize it or not, but you're a celebrity! You're on the official CZ-USA website! Congrats!

  • holy shit! i paid over 800$ with taxes for my CZ75bomega .... damn the prices in the US are better

  • @dudley2112

yah! Canada sucks right now vote conservitave!!

  • @dudley2112 You overpaid. On Marstar Canada they have a Norinco copy for 349$. They are Chinese, but most Chinese guns are very solid.

  • @esh325 meh ive owned and do own some norcs but you cant compare the quality of a norc to the real thing, norcs are solid but the finish is rough and lots of sharp edges, not what i was looking for in my first handgun. Plus is was my 18th bday gift so i didnt pay :D and it was the new omega model

  • @dudley2112 I have one Norinco TT-33 and I'm pleased with it. I like to think of my Romanian AK versus Russian AK as an example that better finish doesn't mean they shoot better. The Russian has a nicer finish, but it doesn't shoot better then the Romanian one with the crappy finish.

  • @esh325 oh i know that i have a 700$ norinco ar15 and i rountinely beat guys with STAGs, COLTs, Armalites, bushmasters hell even noveske that cost from $1500 to 3K, my norc doesnt look at nice but i sure performs. But my CZ is accurate as all hell and for my first pistol i wanted something that looked nice and shot well and thats what i got.

  • i have similar one to that , first thing i did was order a steel guide rod i dont trust the plastic ones

  • Price Question for Josh: You said in the video you paid $475 at some local gun shop. Would that be $475 OTD or was $475 before tax and stupid fees (like the $13 Wisconsin would charge me to have the WI DOJ double check me as if the federal check just isn't quite enough)?

Nice video. Always great to see an owner discuss the pros & cons of their guns to help others make informed purchase decisions.

  • @KJonhS

That was before tax. All together was just shy over $500 if I recall.

  • KJonh, not all dealers in WI actually charge the $13 fee... I know Gander Mountain does, as well as most other box stores. My reccomendation is to buy online.. I bought from grabagun.com...cheap shipping and they are very competitive on price too...

BTW, the gun in this vid is a CZ 75 DB (DB models have the decocker).

  • @KJonhS Hey, another guy from WI on here :) 13 bucks aint bad for a fee..

  • i have one that is stainless. i've never seen another one like it though, not even on youtube

  • I love these I want to get one si bad, copact version though.

  • sorry my mistake to have presumed that you are a left hander. anyway can you suggest any holster supplier (Fobus?) for my CZ-75 B 9mm. I am a left hander.

  • I presumed you are left handed. Can you help me find any holster supplier for my CZ-75 B 9mm. I am a left hander. thank you

  • I spent ten years in the military in special operations units. The CZ 75 B Omega is a pistol that few know about but that have TOP CREDIBILITY. This is an extremely reliable weapon and as accurate as a Sig 226. The downside is finish...everything that counts is QUALITY but you're not going to get the attention to detail of a Sig ..overall, this pistol is every bit as good and reliable as a Beretta 92FS or Sig 226...and in a steel frame....ALL FOR A GREAT PRICE..you will not be dissapointed.

  • i cant believe u americans are compalining about the price I paid $1400 AUD in Australia for the 75b

  • @skruppy222

    HAHAHAHA

  • Great review, dude!

  • I payed 410 for my cz 75 b and it was worth it

  • I just paid 749$ for a cz 75b 9mm W satin Nickel Finish. I wasntconcerned with the price but rather the Quality of the gun . Which i heard is really the best 9mm that a person can buy. I still havent recieved it yet i have to pick it up at a local gun dealer and pay a transfer fee. I hope i never have to use it in a self defense or defense of others but if i do have to use it i hope it doesnt kill the person.

  • You might have overpayed.

  • @samhobson30

    WAY OVERPAYED

  • Well thats the price you pay when you dont know where to look. I actually wanted the stainless steel 75b imagine what id paid for that brand new at gander mountain.....

  • @samhobson30

    no idea where that is..

  • Its a nationwide sporting goods chain. i ordered over the phone

  • ooooo

  • I've been using a modified CZ 75B 9mm. for field shooting contests for quite some time now. Fantastic handgun.

Btw, is up to 600 bucks for this handgun something to complain about? It's ridiculous. Try to be an active handgun owner here in Sweden...

  • hey is 410 a normal price? thats a nice gun man. i cant find it that cheap anywhere

  • dont feel bad, i live in cali and the cheapest i can find it for locally is $560, add tax and fees and im lookin at well over $600 out the door. sucks, but i guess thats one of the costs of living here; well worth it to me.

  • @tfrostholm

    same

  • i've an update, i picked up a CZ 75BD for $530 OTD bran new...got the ffl dealer to declare ownership and give me a private party transfer fee instead of tax on the gun listed at $495 on gunbroker. he just happened to be local to me when i searched gunbroker.

  • awesome

  • How in the world did you get the dealer to declare ownership, imho, that is worth the extra cost. Especially for a brand new gun. Let me know what you did I would love to use that option.

  • to be honest, having spoken to a few other dealers I dont know that an FFL dealer can legally do this. now i think my deal may have been legal because he was listing this item as "old stock", meaning that it had been in his possession well over a year, which i BELIEVE is the time limit required for an FFL dealer to declare personal ownership, hence making it legal to transfer it as a private party. so i dont know that youll be able to get anyone to do this for you, but plz let me kno what u find

  • That's a nice piece. I love Czech guns.

  • Did you buy it new? If so you got quite a deal .

  • Yep completely NIB.

  • I have a .40S&W 75B that I purchased used at a gun show ( I don't think the previous owner fired it much at all) 410.00$. So I think you realy got a deal on it. Also you can carry it on the half cock notch (the manula reccomends this) it shortens the DA pull and you don't have to worry about the safety. That's how I carry mine. One less thing to worry about in a defnsive situation.

  • The half cock greatly improves the feel of the pull. As for carry, I prefer something lighter, but I'm glad you can carry yours. The size is comparable to a 1911, and I know lots of people who carry 1911's.

  • you know that that has a decocker, when you press the saftey in a downward action it will decock the hammer:)

  • This version is the 75B, it includes the safety with decocker. The 75DB includes a decocker, no safety.

  • Wanting a new gun ive never purchased a pistol before. Ive inherited a few and purchased rifles. I want a german, austrian type gun. I really like CZ 22lr bolt action manlichler.

  • very very good video. i think i'll buy one (perhaps a cz 97B). Thanks

  • were you as litle bit drunk?

  • I remember you from the HL2 World forums, hah I got banned from there. I'm quite interested in the CZ 75, they seem like quite good pistols, maybe I'll pick one up someday. I've fired the Beretta, they point nice and have a hefty weight to them, but I prefer my Hi Power because it's steel, lighter, and more reliable imo. Glocks are probably very good pistols but I can't get over the polymer thing, I like my guns all made of wood and steel. Good review btw.

  • They're a fine line of handguns and you really couldn't go wrong with picking one up.

I definitely see the appeal of a all metal handgun after owning my CZ-75B.

  • I ment to say the some of the internals on the current production berreta 92 have plastic internal parts.

The CZ-75b is all steel everywhere I am aware of this (i also one a cz-75)

  • Not necessarily a problem, but for a handgun that goes as much as a Beretta does new, I'd expect more metal in the gun.

  • Thats exactly how I feel about it.

However I do still like the Beretta evey one I've shot was easy to shoot and more accurate than me.

  • I'm 23 and I shot my first CZ when I was about 14. My father is a Vietnam Veteran, was a longtime 1911 owner, moved to Glocks and loved them, but when he started shooting CZs I could tell he really was head over heels for them. CZ is a great company and they make great guns. Get out there and shoot that CZ, that's where the real magic starts. You'll never look back. Don't get me wrong; I own Glocks and love them too as a grab & go, balls to the wall gun. However, it's CZ for me 99% of the time.

  • should have gone with the 92fs

  • I'd of gotten the Beretta but they go for well over $200+ over what I got the CZ for and they're loaded with plastic parts. Now I don't mind plastic obviously but I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay $600+ for a beretta with crappy looking plastic controls.

I still do want a Beretta someday but right now the CZ is an excellent handgun.

  • what on the beretta is plastic other than the grip panels? i bought it for the reason that it's very solidly constructed from metal

  • On the newer ones (2003ish on I believe) The safeties are plastic, trigger is plastic coated metal, guide rod, and the magazine release is plastic.

  • thats true. i meant that the frame is still a nice solid piece of metal

  • 'not a defensive handgun'? The CZ 75 is pretty much a no frills military sidearm. Thanks for the review though.

  • I guess I should clarify on that. I was mostly talking about it for carry. It's a little too heavy for that purpose. I would not think twice about using it to defend myself though.

  • I disagree. I carry a 75B every day. A good gunbelt makes all the difference in the world

  • nice gun.

    good video.

  • Dude, you totally resemble Matt Damon. Hehhehe, don't they make a compact model as well?

  • Very nice gun. I have the CZ75 P01 and I love it over 2000 rounds and no jams. I want to buy the 75B stainless steel but I live in CA and its not on the DOJ approved handguns :( the CZ 75B gets better the more you shoot it

  • The P01 is a nice looking little gun. I really want one to swap back and forth with my Glock for carry.

  • In Sweden we have a near endless supply of old military sub-machinegun 9mm rounds that are no longer used (since the old Swedish sub-machinegun is being phased out). These rounds are extremely powerful for being 9 mm and there are only a few semi-automatic pistols that can handle the powerful round with its full metal steel jackets. The CZ is one of those pistols and that is why I got mine. Very pleased with it. Very tight and does not rattle when shook, as you demonstrate. very accurate gun. :)

  • that is why i buy guns online

i paid $425 plus 30$ transfer for my last glock

$455 out the door they are over $500 here in gun shops and you have to pay tax

  • a cz85 would have a ambi safety

and you can reverse the mag release like a beretta92fs

  • Yeah, I know about the CZ85's but they can't be found locally around here.

  • hey Joshua ive got mine in 10/ 10/ 05 for 389 total 404 with tax and yes my barrel is kind of dark too not highly chrome only one thing i cant fine is a class 2 holster for my security
