    Is manch par kutto ko koi jagah nahi hai.Damn your bad language!

  • Another wonderful song to bring back so many happy memories for me of my dearly departed father - amar baba - who adored this and adored Kishore Kumar and Raj Kapoor. The greats of a bygone era!

  • ek din maarjaye ga kute ke maute , dekh kar bole ge log .., maar gaya madar chode

  • @kah114119

    have you ever penned a word ?

  • Everytime I hear this song, I remember the wonderful times spent with my Abbo ji .. surely always brings pleasent memories ...

  • true....!!!!!

  • and yaa... for the guy who is translating the song in english... "gori" in the second part does not mean "white girl"... he is talking about "god"... check out him pointing towards sky when he says "gori se naina jod fir duniya se dol..."

  • @ankurgarg1986 : for the last stanza, don't go by the meaning just for the line... try 2 get in the whole context.... it starts with : 'parde ke peeche baithi saanwal gori...' and so on.... so, he indeed is talking abt a beautiful girl n not the God... thats my opinion.

    others may / my not agree with me.... ;)

  • real fact of life

  • the nice song.........near to reality.....

  • Someday you will sell down, the price of dust.

    Your words will linger after you are gone.

    Leave your songs on other's lips,

    so you can leave behind a symbol, then go GLADLY.

  • बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद!

  • great song.pure classic.

  • i luv dis song..........

  • One day you will leave this world and everyone(friends) will be left behind

  • unhony path me kante lakh bichaye par honi to bichada yaar milaye...

  • what does that mean? Could you please translate the lyrics. Thanks

  • Translation: You will die one day but your words will remain. Give your song (as in words) to someone before you leave, so that it may remain and so that you give something to this world, and then leave this world.

  • I am just doing the literal translation - ;)

    A day will be sold, for worth of sand;

    All you will leave behind, dear, are your words.

    Give your songs for someone else's lips;

    Leave a sign & then leave this world !

  • @patil07

    lol... arth ka anarth kar diya in 1st line of translation...

  • @ankurgarg1986 : phir tum hi kar do uska 'asli' translation... as I said, I just did the literal translation :)

    He is talking about cause & effect. About the karmic struggle. Goes up n down. Let he flowing energy of the universe flow thru you and lead the life in peace & joy. No more seperation (bir-hah)

    Verse 2: Parde ke piche bhaiti sawal gori.....

    Look into raj kapoor's eyes. You will know he is talking about the divine mother. You may call God, Laws of nature or divine knowledge. What ever you may call it.

  • Great Song. Starting starting lines are amazing. But somehow the lyrics there after is not goo,. Not at all doing justice to the first few lines.
