sinistar -- Well interpreted and expressed. You compliment Fugazi and the animators while adding your own voice with timings and snippets of more overly political images in a graceful way. Works well. Thanks for creating it.
sometimes a 3,53' song is stronger than everything else.. I live in one of these "developed countries", and this song makes me feel so fucking guilty and hopeless. But tomorrow is gonna be sunny and I'm gonna skate whith my friends and, certainly, drink some beers and spend money to buy a cd or something like that. I've chosen my way to live, but yeah, I'm conscious nevertheless, and I'm always waiting for the bigger axe to fall.
what do you mean by “Nevermind what’s been selling, is what you’re buying”? I'm sorry, english is not my first language so I can understand what the words mean individualy but I think I'm missing the context.
@Typhoon1212 not sure how much a response in english is going to help but; the song is about becoming concious of your economic environment. The system moves on all around you. Theres stocks, big businesses, and all that advertising bullshit, but nevermind what theyre selling, its what youre buying that matters. Thats one of the biggest messages that Fugazi pushes. Live independently; free of the trap. Thats what your buying and thats whats important.
@dawsonfd styrofoam, sieve fisted find, merchandise, shut the door, walken's syndrome, birthday pony, there's a lot of them, they have a lot more good songs than bad ones
@dawsonfd all of them! every record is awesome and different from the previous. amazing band. they evolved over the course of their releases. i love every record... some more than others but they are all excellent to my ears. opinions vary of course. :)
@dawsonfd also caustic acrostic, strangelight, long distance runner, facet squared, rend it, epic problem, and a great many more. just get all their stuff, you won't be disappointed
@dawsonfd er, all of them. they made a lot of records and they're all pretty damn good and some of them are simply amazing. the last 2 records they made are great start to finish.
thank you for being a voice to the disenfranchised. it means as much today as when originally released. powerful. thoughtful. i appreciate your work. cheers, cher.
Fugazi is one of the most thought provoking bands out there. They aren't contained by a genera. They are most definitely not emo but even if you think so i don't think it matters. If anything they are philosophers. They sing to a greater truth not to a genera. Much like R.T.A. you just cant classify and at this deep of a level theres no need to. One damn good band.
@sinistar1224 thanks, my comment was meant as a "cool video" i would love to know the origins of it if you didn't make it! not as a "give proper credit where it's due"

Sigh. I would listened to this band before, if the genre name 'post-hardcore' wasn't attached to it. I know it's judgemental, but it's a stupid name.

Very well done on the video and choice of animations. Some may call it a bit extreme, but I call it the hard truth.

I recommend to any young (or old for that matter) musician to go buy Fugazi's entire discography. Best $100 you'll ever spend.

that main riff sounds a lot like gone away by the offspring, i'm assuming this is older

Good ears, it's a half-step up from the Gone Away riff. And yeah, the song's a little older.

is ixnay in e flat?
