@7544jeroen Animals shot during these videos were havested and eaten. We offer different colors, because some people see one color better that others. It is all about seeing the placement of the shot, so that the animal can be proerly purued beyond it.
@zdzichu42 Since we introduced the Lumenoks in green, our conversations with people have bourn out that everyone perceives colors a bit differently. The Lumenok is a great tool, whose real purpose is to help people see the arrow as it flies toward its target. Some people see red better that green and visa versa. Eiher way, watching what uncle Ted calls " The mystical flight of the arrow" is pretty cool.
@daChef1992 A well placed shot with a broadhead tipped arrow is very effective in taking down deer, elk, bear and even bison. Rifles are very effective, but rifle hunting seasons are very short compared to archery seasons. Deer shot in the lungs die from hemmoraging in seconds.
@daChef1992 a bow can kill a deer just as fast, if not faster than a rifle. The difference between the 2 is that a rifle knocks down the deer on the spot often while with a bow the deer runs for about 50-100 yards, but the speed of death is about the same.
@daChef1992 I use both arrows and rifles, so I assure you beit arrow, bullet, and slugs are deadly and none is better than the other. It's your hunting preference. I use arrows and rifles: Slick Trick broadheads when I hunt with my crossbow - and those broadheads leave a 2" gaping hole in a whitetail with the arrow passing completely thru the deer. The hole is MUCH bigger than my 30.06 Winchester, 12 gauge slugged Ithaca 37, or .54 caliber round balled black powder rifle.
@daChef1992 are you fucking stupid???? of course you're not going to drop a deer off the bat with an arrow unless you get a perfect shot. its an arrow. plus the lumenok doesn't effect the damage of the arrow it lights up the nock of the arrow so you can see your shot, find your arrows, or find your kill, if you're going to talk shit about archery then stay with rifle hunting us archers don't want to listen to your rifleman bs
@brrunorrsirrerrarr Animals are food. They will be eaten by predators or people. Hunters using legal means of taking legal game to maintain healthy populations of game in our wilderness. We support the habitat through licensing fees, taxes and contributions to conseration efforts. Mother nature provides a number of options for an animals demise. They include, starvation, sickness, and predation to name a few. Old age you are thinking? I think not, pick one of the above.
@5Ivan7 Amen to that brother. I think dieing in 30 seconds from a hunter is a hell of a lot better than, sickness, disease, being torn apart by coyotes or other predators, being hit by a car. If Brrunorrsirrerrarr doesn't think so tell him to come look at the fox run over in front of my house that is missing his back half. I'd rather be heart shot by an arrow than split in half by an automobile. Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease.
@brrunorrsirrerrarr Stop watching Walt Disney. YOUR tax dollars goes to pay government shooters to kill millions of animals around the country annually - and those animals are not eaten. Hunters pay BILLIONS of dollars every year for licenses to state governments which is re-invested back into natural habitats. Hunters around the country donate literally hundreds of tons of venison/fish annually to local soup kitchens. What have you done lately to help feed your hungry neighbors?
@Bassmaster26107 We use footage supplied to us by many of our feild staff. they use all manner of broadheads. That arrows penetrated the bodu cavity of the deer and hit the shoulder on the opposite side . A deers chest is only about 6" thick at that point. It really would not have mattered the kind of broadhead. That shot placement , while effective, will usually not pass through.
Thanks Rickbar123. While we do have to import LEDs and Batteries, ( as none of these are any longer made in the USA, we buy nocks, wire, glue, machinery and most importantly, Labor. right here in the USA!
there knocks at the end of your arrow that glow. so when you shot they light up so you can follow your shot much better. you can tellif you miss or hit and you can find your arrow
They are lighted bolt heads. The idea is that you never lose your bolts again if you miss your target plus you get to see if your bolt is flying straight and true.
Grewen LEDs use more Juice than red ones do. Every Green Lumenok sold has a replaceable battery. They begin dimming if left on over an hour, but the battery will cycle back up, and be bright at the next use. Total battery life depends on use but they will stay lit for 24 hours.
You are correct. The red led is a bit brighter. Some people do see green better though. I think that there are varying levels of color sensitivity amoung us all.
There was enough penetration for a recovery on this deer. It only has to get through 1 shoulder to get the job done, not both.
but why would you go thru a shoulder???...if i had to i would bet they didnt find that deer that arrow looked like it had no penetration and if you hit the shoulder blade that protects all the vitals so why not aim about 3 or 4 inches behind that you'll still double lung them on that shot....i dont think thee was a recovery at all on that deer maybe a blood trail that lasted a day or two but thats about it....ive seen an arrow hit a deer just like that first hand
Not every shot is perfectly placed. The beauty of the Lumenok, is that when marginal hits occur as a result of one of many factors, better decisions can be made more quickly about how to pursue the animal after the shot. Not all shots are perfect.
Thanks Brian2316, I wish everyone could be like you. Even though you may not like something, you respect it cause there are people that like that something. If the people that were against hunting (mostly extremely hipocritical people) realized that hunting was one of the most humane ways an animal can die, we'd all be happier. Thank you again for being so level headed.
I am not a hunter and along that it is for food, but if you do it for game, well I can't say that I am against it, is just none of my business and I stay out of it because there is no worth in arguing, I just respect it, I am not gonna judge if I don't like it, I eat meat, and I think that the cows, chickens and pigs in slaughter houses are killed inhumane, being hunted down with arrows, and guns, not. Is fast and quick. These men are just using their rights as Americans to hunt.
Thanks for the support of my rights. We are men women and children who enjoy the outdoors and our rights to pursue happiness in it. whoever thinks hunting is stupid should get a brain you guys could eat your chemicals while i eat fresh organic meat and if it was stupid then why isn't it illegal plus hunting is a way to enjoy the outdoors and the kill is so quick they cant even feel it
if everyone when around eating grass all the time the worlds ecosystem would not survive i believe in eating what you kill not inhumanely killing everything so just STFU you fucking tree huggers we were made to eat meat bears eat meat lions eat meat even fido eats meat what you going to convince them to go vegetarian good luck with that let me know how it goes
@airbear212 ... for your information... bears eat as much vegitation as a human does... a grizzlies meat dieat consists almost purely of salmon which it can only harvest at spawning times... the only bears that have an almost exclusive meat diet are polar bears.. not a tree hugger either.. I learn my game before I hunt it... and I can say something.. I dont like the way bear tastes.. so they wont fall to my rifle.
Taking the animal home is our goal. We harvest what we shoot, and utilize the meat. With a properly placed shot, animals expire within seconds. An animal's alternative would be to starve to death or be eaten alive by a predator. In this case man is the predator, and we do make a huge effort to take the animals as humanely as we can. Killing our prey is only a small segment of the enjoyale pursuit we call hunting. I must admit however, animals are very tasty and nutritious.
Im fully up for hunting as long as you actually kill whatever it is that your hunting, and in these videos it doesn't seem to be killing the animal just injuring it? Now to me that is not really hunting, unless i am mistaken and it actually kill the animal
The first shot would probably not kill the deer quick enough, he would be too far away to find once he died. but the second shot would have killed the deer pretty quickly.
I will outraged you even more telling you I am a Frencj girl from Paris...
Sorry this horrifying attitude only makes me want to spew profanity as you say... Because it's all you all for enjoying it like this...Do you eat bears? why to kill them too? You shot all that is moving , you deserve only profanity. I hate you from the bottom of my heart.
