  • sorry my friend if I offended you...let me explain...I am failing college math mainly because of sickness and missed classes due to it, so I am having a tough time, also, I have another teacher that really goes off the deep end joking around and it is very hard to follow him and know when he is being serious or not...sorry my friend I meant no harm; classy response! God Bless!

  • @juanlmesl I do realize this format doesn't work for everyone and that some students cannot stand the character...who is in fact me... it's all in good fun. There are plenty of other videos out there for everyone. Thanks for the support!

  • @MuchoMath Most teachers don't have this kind of enthusiasm, and that's why our system fails.

    You're a great teacher. Thanks.

  • @MuchoMath i wish i had you for my class you make it easy for me to understand stuff that other teachers make so hard.

  • @MuchoMath As an older student and learning this stuff for the first time, I appreciate your approach. It allows me to grasp what is going on and I have learned a lot from you guys already. Keep up the good work.

  • @vtwzy Thanks! A lot of my older say the same thing. Glad it worked for you!

  • could someone help me with this problem?

    graph the equation: x - 3y = -9 for the x and y values I got (0,3), (3-,2), and (3,4)

  • awww this is the best! i liked watching it as well as learning from it

  • im still kinda stuck im in th grade and its questions lyk they show the graph and the answers are Y=X+3 or sumfin lyk dat i feel real stupid

  • muchomath u r my hero

    8th grade dunce right here

  • Thank you soooooooooooooooooooo much. I 'm feeling better bout' Algebra !!!!

  • charlie ahah! this vid is helpful for 8th gradenow why cant you make millions of vid like this for every subject

  • Yeah! Charlie gets on my nerves too! I'm working on more videos but it does take some time. Right now I am focusing on pre-algebra. Use the link to my homepage of the main MuchoMath YouTube site to see all the other materials I created. It's all free. You would likely find the beginning algebra resources most useful.

  • @TheFirefighter1222 4 real 8 grade im in 7 th and were doing this like harder and stuff

  • @TheIvan159159 That's good. By the time you get to college this stuff should be easy for you. Don't forget to take math all through high school. Math is good! MuchoMath

  • Thank you it helped me with my homework!

  • what book your using

  • how do i describe the graph of x = 100 would look like, without drawing the graph. Explain

  • thanks this is helping me with my hw my teacher didnt expain it that good!!!

  • what is a linear model?

  • Well i got a question what about Y=X+2?

  • tanks alot

  • Wow, this vid is great! It's helpful and clear, and the teacher and Charlie are awesome characters. The vid was fun to watch, and I hated it when the vid stopped. Then I noticed part 2! XD

Thanks for posting this, it was very helpful!

  • Glad I could help!

  • man i was learning about this today and i forgot it so i stumbled onto this and man i learned alot thanks and plaese keep making these vids

  • @peteruongg Glad I could help!

  • I have to say graphing used to be one of my biggest challenges. But graphing is very fun since you can plug in any numbers.

You know you're wrong when you don't have a straight line. :)

  • @LastSunrise1981 Yes! That's way you should always find at least three points!

  • i learned more in 10 minutes than one hour in algebra class!!! thanks man

  • @Zuneowner Cool! Now go for the "A"!

  • Hi Im in Algebra II and when we graph equations its problems using fractions such as:

    3/5y -x/5 = -6/5

I have noo idea how to solve this..any ideas?! Help!

  • Glad to hear that!

  • Man I wish you was my algebra teacher! lol thanks for the help!

  • Glad you enjoyed the vid! Good luck with your studies! MuchoMath

  • many teachers at my school really dont care if we learn!!! my algebra 2 teacher dosent even talk he just does the problem and tells us to watch,... we ask for help and he just does it again,,,, the thing that sucks is that counselers dont let me change to another teacher!!!!

  • dis vato de loca muchacho!!!! lol thanx now i finally understand 8th grade math

  • Thanks for stopping by stew. Good luck with your studies!

  • This is awesome! I am much farther ahead, in college algebra, but I needed a refresher because I think I had been studying too hard-forgot some essentials! Fun video and a great demonstration :) Thank you!

  • what if x doesnt = y?

  • Did you mean like x = 3 ? If so, then you would get a graph of a vertical line passing through (3,-2), (3,-1), (3,0), (3,1), (3,2), (3,3). Notice that all the x values are always 3! y = 3 would give you a horizontal line. Thanks for the question!

  • Thank you sooo much! I'm awful at math. This really helped me understand this. Thanks for putting effort into this video. I like how you add a student. It makes me feel like I'm not the only one going "oh not math." Even though hes just faking it. Anyways, thanks!

  • 163mojo, Glad you liked the video. I figured having a student would make the video more enjoyable. It was very difficult trying to find a student to do this...that's why I decided to take on the role myself.

    Cheers, MuchoMath

  • Now this is my level..Thank you.

  • Good luck with your math Steven! Getcraazy over math everyone! Go for the "A"! Muchomath

  • WOW! now i actually get how to do Linear Equations!

  • Go for the "A". Hope it went well. Glad we could help! MuchoMath

  • i am absolutely horrible at math. im suppose to be in 10th grade and i haven't failed yet, but i am considered to be in a 9th grade section. i am only just startinh algebra 1b.

  • VoLcOm4009, You are not alone. I work with many students of all ages who are struggling with math. I would say just give it your best effort and never give up. Just the fact that you ran across my YouTube site shows that your at least looking for some extra help and that's a good thing. I may have some resources that could be of use to you. Use the link on my main YouTube page to get to my faculty website where you can access resources that may help you with your math. Best of luck! MuchoMath

  • wait couldn't the last coordinates be 2,3

the line will still look the same right??...

  • Yes, (2,3) as would (1,4) will work. There are an infinite number of ordered pairs that will work! Since it would be impossible for us to plot every possibe ordered pair we draw a line. The line itself with arrowheads at each end represents all the infinite solutions. Once the line is drawn you can clearly see that there are more solutions such as (1,4) or (7,-2) or (8,-3). Note that we could use (-5,10) put we would have to expand our line and graph which we really do not want to do.

  • i wish my freshman algebra teacher made this stuff as simple as you guys do. thank you so much. you guys just helped me BIG TIME for my finals that are coming up in about a week! :D

  • Tanks Mr. Perez. I looked at some Graphing Linear Equations videos they where hard to understand . Your video is the only one that made sense to me and was fun to watch:)

  • Thanks for the comment northstar100; I really appreciate it. Trying to make math fun is a challenge for all us math teachers :) Best of luck to you and good luck with your studies!
