  • I lived just south of Wheeling in Benwood and this is the first time I've heard this song, It's a

good song. Thanks for the post

  • Neil recorded this song in Sydney as a thank you to his Australian fans only released here in Australia and went top 10

  • gosh as a kid I loved this.... haven't heard this since I was a kid... oh so good to hear again!

  • Loved it too ..released in NZ probably via Australia.

  • Great song, even better singer and entertainer. Thanks for taking the effort to upload Wheeling.

  • Dig it...

  • thanks everyone asked his fan club havent heard now go there they have a petion to get him into the rrhf hopefully soon

  • Loved this Song when I was a kid

  • I hope the mix I am getting on my computer is not as bad as I hear. The instrumental part of the mix it too loud. I like the song, but the mix is what I think was the reason it didn't make a hit here, even in Wheeling West Virginia, which is just across the river from where I live.

  • Any chance of publishing the B-side - "The Love Of A Woman"?

  • NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE AND IM FROM BORN AND BRED IN WHEELING WEST VIRGINIA TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT WHY WHEELING

  • @zoobie75 I think it only released in Australia, if it was released elsewhere it flopped

  • NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE AND IM FR

OM WHEELING WEST VIRGINIA TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT WHY WHEELING

  • @zoobie75 - I once heared a radio announcer say it was recored in Sydney Australia on his first visit. He did it very quickly 1 or 2 takes then jumped on a plane back home. Was only intentded to be released in Aust? Thats all i got..

  • Certainly one of his best, and it was recorded at the Festival studio in Sydney in 1969. If you look closely at the record label you'll see it was co-produced by Pat Aulton, Festival's house producer from the late sixties through the first couple of years of the 70's. Not also the arranger... John Farrar! Thanks for posting this, they don't make them like this anymore!

  • Top song Don ,I think he recoded this one in Australia ,one of his best I reckon. Thanks for the post.

  • Tis can be found on an album called the Lost 45's 1970. I got a copy from Red Eye Records in Sydney Australia. Lots of other rare gems on it too.
