  • What did I just watch 0_o

  • so a right hemicolectomy done and dusted in 2 and a bit mins. Lol love the speed-ed up film, last time i was scrubbed in for 3 hours or more when i was assisting a surgeon on the same type of operation. but really interesting to see it done on film. its amazing what modern medicine/surgery can achieve.

  • So the patient couldn't poo because of this obstruction of the colon? What did the poo do, just build up and expand in the colon? Would the colon have eventually exploded, and poo would be everywhere inside this patient?

  • looks like a worm

  • eating rice now..lol watching this

  • anyone feeling hungry? XD

  • Tht lossses my appitite

  • They're just going to TOWN on that colon. Incredible, but hilarious how aggressive seeming they are lol.

  • Interesting. Why were staples chosen instead of a regular suture?

  • Jeez, I'm actually very impressed. How much practice, how much research had to be put into this to be able to so quickly locate each part and preform each individual action? Impressive indeed.

  • my god..

  • I think I'll stop eating salted peanuts...

  • Wow so interesting

  • lol just stuff it back inside..like nothing happened..

  • could someone explain to me what kind of surgery they are doing, what the decease is and what they are doing in the video - in NORMAL english please?

  • @krokodillemedsnabel They might do this surgery for people who have colon problems such as colon cancer, polyps, crohn's disease etc. In this video it's done for cancer, they have opened the patient up, pulled out the large intestine, they have removed the ascending colon and then joined the rest of the large intestine together, like joining two tubes together (now missing the ascending colon since it was removed).

  • @krokodillemedsnabel Basically this patient has a cancerous mass in his ascending colon...that's the part of the colon on the right side of your abdomen. The opened up the patient, exposed all the layers of the intestine, identified the anatomy inside, and then they clipped out the entire right side of the colon. after that they connected the rest of the colon with the the small intestines.

  • @krokodillemedsnabel propably adenocarcinoma-malignant cancer of colon removal

  • i had this done to me when i was 16 for crohns disease, when i woke up i was in so much pain simply because that epidural they gave me didnt work, wasnt allowed eat or drink for 5 days either, and i had lost so much weight. worst time of my life

  • @irishdan2007 damn.

  • @krokodillemedsnabel thanks ron simmonns

  • This is going to hurt after he/she will wake up.

  • my gay dudes would vomit so hard seeing this, they'd cringe too much to feel in the mood for hard gay sex!

  • Ohh god damn mother fucking Dx ahh!!

    Awesome!!! :)

  • Wat mthe hll is this?

  • Whatever doctor did this I would just like to say you have my respect. While I have no idea as to what the purpose of the surgery was for (a growth or blockage?) I find this fascinating.

  • I'm hungry

  • That boy didnt have enough fiber

  • End of Evangelion, anybody?

its called the transverse colon - u also mispronounced a couple of other things as well "/

  • @iCommenter66 theres are a million ways to say words..lleave him alone

  • @iCommenter66 They also spelled anastomosis wrong.

  • Talented steady handed BUTCHER! :|

  • Colon surgery is shitty

  • Ahahhahaha the doc jst put it back liek "ah. there yuuuu go!" xDD

  • Damn I hope I never have to get surgery. He shoved that thing back in there like nothing!!!! Oucchh!!!!! /:

  • Try the Lone star retractor when filming. You get much better camera access

  • he sucked it in back. =_=

  • he juz ripped it out. =O

  • when they go inside they look like they dont give a shit

  • imagine doing that without anestetics

  • @ndecker3295 back in the old days they did, sadly. All of our ancestors who had enough money to pay for a surgeon to help, went through major major major pain, most or some died through the process.

  • @ndecker3295 Lol. That's ALWAYS what I think of when I watch surgery.

    Man, that'd be painful, though.

  • that was soo quick.

  • Its fat tissue. On another note...holy god. I would probably rather die

  • Uhmm! What is the yellow stuff all around the intestines????

  • Hahaha why is this one of my recommended videos? Oh dear...

  • WOW DOC! That was incredibly fast and precise cutting! It was as if you had eyes on your finger tips!

I've a question for you. That blockage (cancer?) was pretty thick. Did this patient have a colostomy to by pass that? Wouldn't the patient experience incredible pain from a blockage like that?

  • ouch!

  • awesome!!

  • wat a vid!

  • beautiful!!!

  • wot a job
