I really want an Axe-Fx because the dirt tones are great! However, I don't want to get rid of my 17 pedal strong pedalboard....but I guess an Axe-Fx is cheaper than buying a really nice half stack with great drive built in.

I own a Diezel Herbert and it DESTROYS everything the Axe has to offer.. I am not impressed. I was very dissapointed. Don't believe the hype. This thing is NOT better than your Mark IV and not in the same league as a Diezel Herbert. Amp models are dark. Chorus effect is not as good as G System. Whammy latency makes the effect completely unusable (Digitech Whammy pedal has much lower latency). There are some cool things like the CRYSTALS and routing possibilities. But not worth the $.

I'm currently using Mesa/Boogie's and it's a hard decision to leave tubes behind.

@squirttilithurts This guy is pretty much proving that the FX can effectively emulate all these tones and it does so very well. Also, it should be noted that it even sounds great through poor video quality. Also it's kind of silly saying your Deizel is better at getting it's own tone. The FX seems incredible for shaping about any tone you want.
