  • Still no knock Nevis haha. Nevis would rape that...without any lube!

  • thats a beast, imagine it was going full speed with rockets on it, and it went straight in to land at like 70 miles an hour. not much would stop it lol, like a giant plough

  • Is that the ship making all that noise? Is it loud?

  • @1DanielChristensen, I don't think so, expect if the guy shooting this has an exceptionally good directional microphone. Ships aren't that loud.

  • She is single screw.

  • i need to get on ships like these , i am an engineer , white , british , and with the love of the sea , i grew up with ships , my fathers family the best maintenance ship company in the world at one point , the welsh wizards ,, and that is no mistake. . but family fuckin' feuds halted all that , but i really want to be on these amazing beasts , anyone witha a know how , i'd be a deckhand , just to get on these amazing pieces of engineering wonders.

  • How old are you? If you're a reasonable age, with reasonable education and attitude, then fairly easy to get in at cadet or AB level.

  • maersk take 50 cadets a year 18 and up

  • Is she single screw?

  • By the looks of it, yes. Most ships of her type are single-screw. I could be wrong.

  • Rotterdam is amazing.

  • who gives a shit

  • @indivum Sounds like you have been smoking some of your countries most famous produce. I certainly didnt know the Dutch single handedly destroyed the Spanish Armada, i thought that was Her Majestys Royal Navy.

  • @indivum In the past, Italians were the best sea-men in the world.....then came the Portugueses and the Dutches ;-)

Just remember the glory of Genoa and Venice....Mediterranean Sea was completely under their control.

  • get over your frustration and deal with it! YOu put this on every Maersk vid it's just pathetic. minus points for you

  • @SiriusDelirious who is this comment aimed at? lol you posted it over a year ago but it's still on top cause it's the highest rated. To remind you what comment it is, it says: "get over your frustration and deal with it! YOu put this on every Maersk vid it's just pathetic. minus points for you"

  • @1DanielChristensen It was aimed at:des22969

His (or her, you never know) post started with It was aimed at:des22969

Posting the below: Maersk Line SUCKS man only buy up LINES to grow BIG....(there´s more but you can read his (or her?) post on page two.

I don´t remember why I was browsing for Maersk vids back then. But saw posts from this person the whole time. I think it´s a bloke, but you never know. People mostly think i´m a guy too. Judging by my user name. But I´m not ;-)

  • indeed, bingerking!!

  • Hehehe are you crazy? No Philipino officers onboard!! Only for helping on deck and for painting!!

  • 27 knots per hour? Its just 27 knots mate, also no mate Britannia ruled the waves better than you, now its America, the Danes have Maersk yeah but most of your officers in the Danish fleet are Philipino, you muppet.

  • it's true there all plenty of philippinos there ...booya sucka!

  • "Rule Britannia.....I dont think so *G* Denmark rule the seas, as we allways have!...

...say "Rule Britannia...ah, yes thats right Denmark did that for about 200 years - until we couldnt be bothered with it anymore *G*

  • yir we are living i denmark, in denmark!

  • railway Hamburg-Beijing: 750 TEU,S , 15 days. bye mega ships.

  • how many miles in an hour can one of those cover

  • she can do around 27 knots per hour.

1 international knot = 1 nautical mile per hour = 1.852 kilometres per hour exactly = 1.1507794 miles per hour. so that's about 31 miles :)

  • Cool, thanks for the info, this is a very interesting business, do or have you considered doing a podcast about your adventures?

  • @titigti Ehm.....you can't say "knots per hour" because 1 knot = 1 nm per hour, so her max speed is 27 knots = 27 nautical miles per hour!

  • @eulero75, you could say that the acceleration is 27 knots per hour :>

  • @tupsumato LOL yesss....but just for the first hour only! :-PPP

  • @titigti lol nerd =)

  • @titigti knots per hour?

  • sweet

but Metric units is sweeter. like meters, liters and Km/h the most correct is knots and all that. but no one understands it.

  • only you understand these stupid metric units

try to write in meters, liters and so on

  • World's Largest Cargo Ship Get a load of this ship!

    15,000 containers and a 207' (feet) beam!

Crew size (13) for a ship longer than US aircraft carriers,

Which have complements of 5,000 men and officers? Think it's big enough?

Notice that 207' beam means it was NOT designed for the Panama or Suez Canal.

  • Rotterdam is amazing.
