@Fonzzy124 The filmmakers said they purposely ignored X3 and Wolverine while making this one. Even if that wasn't the case, in the comics Prof X regains and loses the use of his legs multiple times.

If you accept this series on its own, apart from the comics and original movies, you'll enjoy it more. Though the only discrepancy between the first four movies (including Wolverine) is obviously the part where Charles can walk when he meets Jean and when he rescues the mutant in Wolverine.

@randa9711 This movie completely screwed up the Mystique character. They turned her into Rogue basically. In the books, Rogue was a runaway who was taken in and raised by Mystique. Rogue was unable to touch anyone because of her mutation, so she was emotionally unstable and when she DID use her ability, she usually kissed the person she used it on.

It's actually not the movie's fault that the wheelchair thing and the baldness was messed up. There is a TON of versions made by the same people. There's too much information and confusion to make it exactly perfect. But I actually liked this movie a lot.

@LisaSpringfield I didn't like so many things about this movie. I imagine if you don't know the X-men at all, this movie is great. And don't get me wrong, the movie is pretty good if you watch it as a story on it's own. But if you're a die hard X-men fan, then there's so many inaccuracies, you feel like punching the people that came up with the idea. Mystique was epic fail in this movie (although that had little to do with the actress). Her part was botched from the start.

@Juggler920 The director is only following X1 and X2. Mystique as a step sister is ridiculous, but I see the need to get her in the movie somehow. She has never been anything but completely ruthless in the comics. Check out Avengers Annual 10 and you will see Mystique at her best.

In this one the emotions and relations between the characters are better expressed. And the emphasis wasn't on making the special effects more extravagant! That's great because the story is the most important element in any movie.

@tztopdruid The real story is: He lost his hair at young. Later became parapelegic when he foiled an alien invasion, Lucifer whom dropped a boulder on Charles. It's a pretty long story in the comic but obviously there are confusion in the movies b'cos there is too much information so the film crew created their own version. Lol. And mystique as a step sisteR? Lmao!

I don't think it's so strange...I mean, she also was very much attracted by Erik and he made it possible, that she could be what she was and be proud of it. And as the time went by there grew an irrational hate inside of her against Charles because she tells herself, that he never loved her, always used her and because he's the enemy of Magneto, her mentor, her best friend, her love. Love can easily be turned in hate or can be the same in several, I must also confess,rare cases.

@BDGSCOUSER I think the point is that they weren't lovers, and they were never an official couple. They were close childhood friends that grew apart. I think First Class does an amazing job showing that Xavier truly cares about all mutants, but he still wants them to fit in with the rest of the world. Mystique has a problem with that. To me, the relationship between Charles and Raven is quite poignant. (Sorry, I'm probably taking your comment way too seriously!)
