saw this at guitar center yesterday... man this thing is PERFECT for around the house practicing! its just big enough for a full sound and can play loud enough in a residential setting to play along with other instruments without being out done...
Which would be better for a MetallicA sound? A Marshall MS-4 or a Marshall MS-2R? (I'd also be hooking up a Boss DS-1 Distorition pedal to one of them) Someone plz answer!
I bought this at a local music shop for $299. EXCELLENT for small gigs and practice, and not too much buzz at all. Specially with my Mexican made standard telecaster.
Well the difference is, that you can get that nice zakks signature sound although im not sure but ,I prefer marshall Mg30dfx for lower price and its still awesome !!!!!
Definitely. I have one, and I played in my schools large auditorium with around 300 people. It was a huge room, but it was even loud enough to film! Plus i only had it at like 3/4 volume. Great amp, I'm very pleased.
so like its not a solid state and its not a tube...... I heard some were that its has something called a "transtube" wich is like instead of glass for the tube, its some plastic errr something
um i would say its about half as good as an acutual tube amp cause its only got 2 10 inch speakers so it could be better and it might be able to do a room like that if you set it properly and you dont have a crazy drummer
In solid state they overdrive a chip instead of a tube. Peavey calls their system transtube. Marshall calls theirs Valvestate. They are ok but no solid state can deliver the roundness and fullness of tone you get with a tube amp.
I was bummed a bit when I bought it. The sound is no different than a standard microstack, just different aesthetics. I could have saved some gravy by waiting and finding the standard edition.
this thing kinda sounds like butt...

zash008 2 years ago
wait so how many watts does it have
Josh95risingsun 2 years ago
how much louder is this compared to a regular 15 watt amp since this has 2 speakers
SBguitar7 2 years ago
basically its actually 45 watts and the two speakers give it more frequencies its kinda like dr. pepper with a full stack u can hear all 23 flavors

no no no its a solid state with tube emulation which means it can replicate the sound of a tube marshall
dwkmaster 4 years ago
but is it as good as a tube

@FireEMT1820 do u think this amp is loud enough for a garage gig???
FuckPunkers 3 weeks ago
is it loud enough to use it in a live show?
A7XAvA 4 years ago
no... not unless you use the bypass and crank it through a seriously huge power amp.
FireEMT1820 4 years ago
i think there is one marshall smaller than this zakk wylde version right??
nice playing
LesPaulRocks 4 years ago
Yeah, there is the MG10, and MG15. All this is is a 15 watt marshall solid state with two 10" cabs instead of a combo with one 10" speaker.
