Being that Alex who plays Will is in real life a father himself he probably knew all to well what it's like to see a baby born into the world. That's what makes him a great actor........:)
When the Aboriginal Elder inspects the British soldier and laughs it cracks me up every time. Seriously he has one of the funniest laughs... I wonder what he said in Eora to the other Aboriginies? lol
You know what would be awesome, chuck in Russel Crowe and Anna Paquin as like a sailor and his wife or something, then they sail across to New Zealand and meet Nicole Kidman or something. Then they can have a pacific party.
white man always manage to fuck things up when ever they travel to new places and set up colonization. thats why western civilization is so rich, they steal from others
Think about it, the aborigines probably hadn't seen Europeans before and the sight of white people in clothes and hats would have been like us seeing aliens.
I adore how he stares at her in bewilderment, of like.. Oh my god! That is remarkable.... I think more men should do that :P....... I'm sure all the dad's know what I'm taking about. :P
I don't get it, if the black men thinks the English men are "women", why would they be afraid? And is it because his dick is small, that makes the old man laugh or cos he sees that it looked like his, except whiter! ?
Actually, if you've read the history of Australia in details, especially about the First Fleet, you'll realise that many convicts (if not most) during the First Fleet were Irish. Clearly, the Irish have been oppressed by the more powerful English landlords and those in power in general (such as the Governors). That's why there were so many fighters in the former British colonies like Australia and North America that were Irish or have Irish ancestry. They were struggling to have a better future.
i dont think they are heroes or anything...probably just thankful that the english came here first instead or the german or the japanese...so im glad my ancestors are english...but i gues what they had to go throuhg and everything
Lol! I heard that vikings or some such came to Australia before the english did but they docked in a shitty desert and said "this doesn't look inhabitable" or something. Then they left! Mind you I was told this when i was younger so it might just be bull.
Australians don't see convicts as their heros but most caucasion Australians will be descended from convicts and also we recognize that also they were criminals they were treated unjustly. Mary Bryant's story is amazing because of her sheer will-power and the way she went through all that and still somehow found her way home. Most people would not have been able to do that.
I don't see convicts as heros specifically, but I think that Australian people are amazed at what these people wen through - I'm sure a lot of them really weren't guilty, or had only commited a crime that nowdays is not considered that bad.

The white men come ashore - kinda reminds me of Govenor Radcliffe in POcahontas who comes ashore and immediately declares, 'This is my land!'

Why did the guy take down his pants?
PrincessSocks3 3 years ago 2
because they thought that the aboriginal's thought that they were women. so they took down their pants to show that they were males.
