what's real. The facts are that if students dropped out of high school and got their GED without this $14000 a year/per student program, 53% would pass. This program only has a 22% increase in success. There are no published numbers that state how many return to the "sub par" life. This is because it would produce a negative image on a state funded program. If this is such a valuable program, take it to Chicago. 7194 of the total 9646 graduates are from the Chicagoland area anyway.

I graduated lcp in97 from there I did 3 years at my local community college and then went on to asu where I graduated top of my class in aeronautical engineering. Since then I have acquired yet another degree in theological study and bible doctrine.. I know as well as anyone that hard work does pay off ... and had it not been for the efforts of those in leadership at lcp I would not be where I am today . I dont have a problem with someone trying to better themselves. I have a problem with this waste of the States taxpayer dollars. The State raises income taxes by 66% and then they commit to spend $34.4 million on a new facility for these dropouts. There are plenty of programs where people can attend a class and get a GED, and not have to be court ordered to do it. (MOST LCA cadets are court ordered due to being in the court system) If GED's were so sought after, everyone would just drop out

(Direct from the LCA website...and from all the officers I have spoke with regarding their stance on this) Most of our cadets have not been involved in the judicial system. We do accept some cadets who have been involved in the judicial system, however, those cadets cannot be court-ordered to attend and some type of charges will disqualify a student for admission.

Police suggest this to kids who seem to have rough lives and need to get out of their patterns...get a clue bra.

@gamertildeath00 Okay so maybe its not directly a court order of the disposition, but it is given as a choice or alternative to jail time. However you wanto to say it, people aren't just saying "please send me to LCA, I would much rather do that then attend night school 12 hours a week and achieve the same thing".

The ones who don't qualify are the ones who have commited a crime so bad that this alternative wouldn't be an option.

It is worth it. This is Cadet Starr's fiancee. Tm 7 Class 34-10. This year's class has only been in progress for two months now. I went to first visitation, and boy was he different. He was a changed man. For the better. He learned respect, discipline, compassion, and many other things at this school. He has already been accepted by several colleges. Attending this school give's several benefits, you will definitely be glad you went there.
