You can always just get the "engine data" if you want that, but it is REALLY pointless without the proper files.
The package as a whole IS the game. If you want something "like" pro, then.. well, if this satisfies you, then go for it. NOthing wrong with fanwork, but ripped data is always the best way to go.
Indeed, ripped gave us a proper ITG2 theme (THE theme, actually), and ripped graphics gave us good looking DDR themes.
I downloaded the entirety of the PumP PRO because I could - that's two arcade games (ITG2, PumP pro), moreso to play, but I think I might try tinkering with it. Too bad the data is probably encrypted on the machines, since it [PRO] is essentially Stepmania 4 (with step editor still there), if it isn't all encrypted, adding custom songs would be possible.
Just like ITG2, Pro was another stepmania-hijacking. the pro data we have is all de-encrypted zip files matching the AC data structure. The engine we use is a custom hack SM4 to match the data type and engine nature that the Pro engine itself uses / has.
Think what openITG is.. thats kinda what the SM4 build that the pro data (that was released) runs on.
What is stopping somebody from dumping the data, decrypting it, making the necessary modifications, re-encrypting it and overwriting the hard disk data? Besides the fact that it would be considerably time consuming?
Logically, nothing, but at the same rate there could be all manor of annoyances.
Remember ITGPS2? If you wanted to add anything new to some files, you had to add int he file name and directory... every.. single.. time..
Not at all saying taht kinda crap is used on Pro (it was really a PS2 issue) BUT crazy little stuff like that is sometimes a major issue in such things. Something little.
think about how hard the original ITG2AC hacks were: no one knew what was going wrong.
I didn't say that it didn't crash, I was just telling mDaWg that he should avoid calling this a bad product, especially since mDaWg's ITG2 isn't the best product in the world.
Groove 2.4 isn't perfect. I use 4.0 because I don't care much for it myself. But just because you make something with problems doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to say something else sucks. If I make a shit simfile, does that mean I can't talk about other simfiles? No.

You use the numpad to play: 1, 3, 7 and 9 for diagonals and 5 for center.

Probably a while. I do believe the game is done in such a way that additions in the ITG2 way are "impossible".

The final version of my Theme was just ripped from the machine and thrown up on the internet. The other ones were done by me.
And the fuck if i care if my ITG2 shit sucks. I dont even have any of it installed on my computers. Never have probably never will.
I always use official shit for games like this.

The game came out not to long ago and the person still need back ground videos. It better than what most people do.
