If any of you people actually watched hockey you would realize Ovechkin throws just as many cheap shots as the next guy. He's popular and physical, everyone who hits like that has had plenty of run ins with dirty hits. Most players have done multiple dirty things in there careers, he's just under a microscope, if you honestly think he's the dirtiest player in the league then you clearly don't watch enough hockey to have a realistic input

He's extremely physical it happens. and even guys who aren't physical have there fair share off cheap shots, but like you said they put guys under a microscope.
