...and beside the great or lets say "interesting" concepts, the KEY is HOW to implement this in an OS so it's useful ..... and that's the part where MS (no offense to Team Canada) fails and fails and fails -
e.g. remember Flip3d ? - the crippled stepchild of ANY half-decent window-management-system....
wait... so here we are going nutty over Apple's stupid Magic Mouse while these things were already in development? If Microsoft put half as much effort into developing and marketing these mice as Apple did, they'd have surefire money makers on their hands and I can see these mice integrating well with windows 7. make these things already!
Mac OWNS windows, these are all pathetic... WOW, THE ORB MOUSE CAN ACTUALLY SENSE YOUR HAND THERE!!! OMFG THE FIRST HAND SENSOR!!! Gay. Cube is the only good thing in this video =P
lol, monopolysoft fail again... just get Apple OS and use quicklook etc, save yourself the insanity and finger crippling agony. Talk about fail in a highest magnitude. Apple just patented their new 10 digit multi-touch that will make this joke obsolete.
Most of these mice looks like they take the simple use of the mouse-wheel and put it into no less than the work of two fingers (and in most cases they have to work waaaay harder)
I dont think any of these mice are very smart. Sure they are fancy and new.. but hey, dont take something simple and turn it into something complicated - for the sake of comming up with something new.
This is what you get when you program (educate) students to remember things, and not teach them to THINK. You get silly little programmed fools running around, coming up with crap like this.

A mouse, are you kidding me? You are going to take a 50 year old technology, and apply it to the computers of today, Are you just incredibly stupid or just insane?
The mouse is an outdated interface with today's PC, and all thinking men know this. Today we have optical human eye directional sensor, touch screen monitors, and finally a reliable voice interface software. And countless other interfaces far superior to the mouse.
Sicking, to see this "horse whip" of today still in production.
The presentation.....i'm seriously speechless :/

So the whole hype revolves at being able to zoom in by placing two fingers and spreading them apart?
The arty mouse seems the best, but again, zooming is covered with the mouse wheel already.
Laughable.

A high-tech mouse being developed by Microsoft, it looks difficult to use at first-sight tough but it is a step towards next-gen mouse.

Nice to see MS using open source code! I guess their no open source policy does not apply to the research group.

could be pretty good for 3d animators, but not for anything else!
And for the love of god stop using the term 2.0 after everything new!

For instance I play Call of Duty. The bad thing is that you have to lift your finger every time you want to press click and that might be annoying.
