@ElectricAmpUSA Semantics... should I say "circuit clone"? "Partial clone"? "Somewhat similar in appearance"? It's not like I'm building these for anyone else, that would be disrespectful to you. It's all for my own amusement. But ya gotta give me credit for drafting a schematic off a tiny photo off your website. lol
@ElectricAmpUSA Of course, if it makes you feel better, I can have a faceplate engraved with a lightning bolt on the front, and the controls in the proper order... Just Kidding. :D
haha i figured it out, you're "nutjob" on the music electronics forum! i knew there couldn't possibly be more than one person who has cloned a green amp. hopefully i'll be #2, i'm gonna try to begin a clone of one of these pretty soon. incredible work, keep postin vids man!
@squirrelhome Yep, that's me. Thanks for the encouragement, and good luck on your build!
Next vid coming up soon is a total desecration of a Trainwreck Express. I built another similar to the Laney rebuild in my other vid, but this time I went over the top with more gain and more low end, and I built a TW-style head cab that is another desecration unto itself!
yeah saw the schematic, unfortunately i'm a mechanical engineering student and I'm having a hard time reading it, but i would definitely want to make one.
@cfl941 Thanks! Not long really. Maybe a few days to build the head cab, a few days to prep the chassis and assemble the circuit. Maybe a couple more days of tweaking the voicing and whatnot. Took me longer to draw up the schematics from the gutshot pics than anything else.
I'll pay you to build me one of those!
Seriously, man.
