  • whoa! they were allowed to say christmas?!?! this commercial is old.

  • I started working at RadioShack in 1997 - ah those were the days

  • See that sideways cell phone? That was my phone for 5 years. OEM'd by Panasonic. Nice phone. The price sticker said $1200 when I bought it. 3 watts of Analog goodness

  • I can buy all these same products at my local Goodwill....

  • @GatewayGhettoProd No shit seeing how this commercial is almost 20 years old

  • ha ha ha..... I used to love the decorated cordless phones. I used to bug my mom to get one but is was too fancy for her.

  • 0:08 calls on the go? haha

  • What's sad is those phones were considered small back then.

  • WOW...hilarious. Now Radio Shack is known for generic crap and commission sales people that never leave your side!

And I used to love that place as a kid.

  • Yeah, I kno what you mean. Me and my dad used to go there all the time when I was a kid, but it's been forever since I've been.

  • Remember when they had game systems up for demo?

  • One thing is for sure, You get much more for your money today when it comes to buying electronics.

  • Hahahahaha, did anyone see the size of the charger on that "cell phone"?

  • that was the "cell phone" hahaha

  • blablabla

  • Well at least they're covering every canuck with a quality health insurance.

  • MMODNAO... LONG waiting periods for life-saving operations. Bureaucrats deciding what operations are necessary. People taking there kids in for colds and runs the unit in that area out of money for the quarter... So I'll keep the wonderful system we have and you can keep your failing socialist crap.

  • Fair enough.

  • @semperfaithful How's that capitalism thing working out for ya? Lemme know how that goes.

  • you, know. that's kinda racist what you just said semperfaithful. While we do get universal health care, we still had to pay for computers (but they might have actually payed a bit to lower the prices) and i know this from experience, I'm a canuk

  • How was any of that racist? unless you like saying anything you don't agree with is racist?

  • My parents use to have an old clear/see through touch tone phone like that. I remember those days. Man being a kid in the 90's was fun.

  • OMG I had that phone, got from Radio Shack, I thought is was the coolest. hahahaha, great to see the commercial again.

  • i had one too!

  • i love christmas commercials!

  • I only go there for the sales. I just bought 50 tdk cdr discs for $7.99 and 50 tdk dvdr discs for$12.99! Their sales are good. Otherwise, overpriced to me!

  • LOL The sales representatives look like flight attendants!

  • ohh man the 90s haha

  • wow sucks balls

  • Gotta love those technicolorful jackets and sweaters

  • ps Doesn't Rogers Cable own them now or something? They own a lot these days from the "SkyDome" now Rogers Centre and recently they bought CityTV in Toronto.

These cock-suckers are making large money off us charging 45 bucks + tax for internet and same price for digital cable.

    Cock suckers !!!

  • They keep cutting parts off their services, all the while raising the prices.

Do a check and youll find that we are paying higher prices for lower speeds than many parts of the world. Rogers keeps putting off upgrading their systems to DOCSIS 3 which would allow for hundreds of Mbps per user. Instead they throttle traffic.

So WTF is all that money we pay going? To buy baseball teams and landmarks?! Their pockets?!

Worst of all is that we cant just switch since there is little to no choice.

  • yea all there shit was always over priced.

only thing i like going there for is accessories. weird sized batteries, cables, plugs, that kinda shit. everything else is over-priced to hell. all the other stuff you can get at big chain stores, small computer stores and wal-mart for 25% or less then what they charge.

eg. 1 gb memory stick was $29.99 at RadioShack (now sourceCC) and $19.99 at Wal-mart. 10 bucks off.

  • I liked radio shack for parts but is it me or did everything else seem way overpriced

  • Man, all those outdated electronics!! Cell phones shaped like bricks, single-disc CD players, huge camcorders, wow.

  • Yeah, and get a load of the computers, most likely '386's. I remember when our local Radio Shack even had a tube tester.

  • Looks like a Commodore A4000/030 to me

    Ahh the good old days......

  • Thanks for the video! That's so cool!

And look at that cell phone! Nice and handy :-)

  • I always loved their R/C cars from back in the day....

  • holy cr@p look at that cell phone!

  • I refer to it as "Divorce by Serpent City" (formerly fondly known as "Radio Crap"). And Harvey's is "Barfy's"; Swiss Chalet is "Swiss Pigeon"...and I really have too much time on my hands.

  • you think that name is a dumb name.... I work for the source.....

    and I agree with you.

  • boy it changed alot

  • I miss Radio Shack. I don't like The Source by Circuit City at all. It will always be Radio Shack :)

  • Kinda like how everyone still calls it "SkyDome"...

  • I still think that The Source by Circuit City is the dumbest name ever for a store... The Source means NOTHING...

  • IIRC, at the Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga, there used to be a former Radio Shack opposite a store called "The Source."
