How did you know it was shiny before you hatched it?

i saved before every egg. if/when you see it hatch shiny, you can turn off the game, and when you hatch it again it will be shiny. you can do this over and over again, with different IV's every time, until you hatch a great one (in this case flawless).

Though... Why did you record her hatching? Did you record all hatchings for future reference or something? I'm pretty frustrated that WiFi only works on my Wii, but not my DS. Truth is a streak of luck which probably won't happen ever again.

i knew it was going to hatch shiny. i had been taking eggs from the daycare man, saving before each one, so if/when i got it, i would be able to keep resetting until i got a good one.

lol, i'm wasting my time, but.... effort, sinnoh champ, 17x contest, 6x battle tower, 7x sunnyshore, 3x resort, footstep. that's 36, and all perfectly obtainable if you are good enough at the game. it would be possible to get more even if you had some lucky contests.

that's right. i saved in front of each egg, checked if it was shiny or not, then when a shiny hatched, i reset the game until i got one this good. the only AR use was fast hatch, instant egg, and IV check.

exactly the same as a regular egg. you have to hatch it to see if it will be shiny.

amazingly it only took about 320-330 eggs. DEFINITELY wasnt expecting it to come that early!

wow! that isn't too many at all. so you saved before picking up each egg in case it was shiny? and once you got the shiny, i bet you kept getting the egg and hatching for a good IV one. i really want shiny magikarp and will probably try hatching it as my first shiny from an egg. i have gotten three soft reset shinies: treecko (almost 6,000 SRs), mudkip (more than 12,650 SRs, because i found two shiny poochyenas before), and reigrock (about 2,894). i'm SRing for shiny torchic and have done 1110
