Er no, Steve and Hugh were not room mates at college lol They both attended Cambridge University yes but didnt meet each other until Stephen Fry met Emma Thompson who knew Hugh Laurie and each other were introduced. All of them being involved in a student revue called Cambridge Circus that John Cleese and Graham Chapamn had been in too High Laurie was busy trying to write a funny song one day and Stepehen came along and started helping him and thats when they gelled. The rest ofcourse is history

Are you sure they did anti-smoking sketches? Stephen Fry was for years a keen smoker of cigarettes, pipes and cigars. He's a non-smoker now, but still a defender of smokers' rights.

I love them, this is the best couple of comedians it hurts that these persons, don`t act in the same show, but every people remember at hugh for House and forgive the guests in other projects like stuar little or 101 dalmatians, and in the case for Fry the acting in V for vendetta
