Just so you know, there are more interesting things in the state of kansas besides the garden of eden. it's not all just one monotanizing wheat field. for instance, if you go next door to the garden of eden, you will see the house that is in charge of the world's largest collection of the world's smallest versions of the world's largest things.or if you go to hays, ks, you can see the amazing fish within a fish fossil.if you go greensburg you will see the worlds largest hand dug well.very cool!
I know this is a very old video PC so I apologize in advance. But it does kinda suck for us that don't see buying as a good thing when the only thing people distribute on places like thepiratebay is crap or already so popular you don't need to read it. Atleast as far as books go.
Penniless, I've always been fascinated by the collapse of time, that can exist by the ~100 yr interval that we can live. That a woman is alive w/ a DAD that fought in the civil war is mind numbing! Imagine the casm, & that she loved him is not just a link but a real bridge. Yes, there are more. I talked to her brother. He knew his Civil War vet dad too.
How apropos. The one who built the Garden of Eden is Samuel P. Dinsmoor. He fought in the civil war. He was not in his 60's when he married the 20 year old, he was in his 80's. And that cute toddler betwix he and his beaut? That's his daughter, Emily Dinsmoor, now Emily Stevens. I just got off the phone w/ her. Yes, she's still alive as of 10/1/07. Indeed, a woman alive today can rightly say, "my dad fought in the Civil War." And she knew him well.
Another ex-lent vid! I've been fascinated by Robert Anton, too, since Bedlam mentioned him. Lots of him on YouTube. A kind of living Santa Claus - while he was around, that is. The Sub-Genius guys I have heard of a fair amount. Pretty hilarious. I recommend "High weirdness by Mail" by Ivan Stang. The advanced Word of Mouth that you get on YouTube works. Now I've heard about Dismore. Can't keep up.
well tees i read a book and listened to a cd by anton and have pretty much decided he's not worth any more attention (and i want my money back). he has some interesting observations about perception and language, but he's got major delusions of grandeur and he envisions a future where we'll mine other planets for resources...oh yeah...let's destroy the entire solar system now, one planet's not good enough....
nice to hear your voice for once, ms c, didnt mind the squeaky recording, your voice countered it with warmth and depth. terrific subject too. does knowing anything about something mean you always have to get it right? you learn something, don't you, from disappointed love, from the experience of lost loyalty?
Very interesting vid. thank you. love the mishmasch of ideas. I went to seans blog site (in his descriptions) and watched his vids of Mr. Wilson. very interesting. thanks again
and as for love and loyalty, i have only dipped my big toe in that ocean. perhaps that looks like 'knowing,' but the truth is there is much more, much much more. my attempt to express truth, not sentiment. i know i connect deeply with others, comparatively speaking. i've seen/heard that all my life. and i also know my 'deep' connections aren't all that deep. this is my truth.
I find it very interesting that I just left a comment regarding wheat fields on lamps' vid (the very thought of it is a personal oasis to me) and now it seems to be a very attractive topic here as well. Hmmm...very cool. I think the movement [of wheat] speaks a beautiful language that we cannot understand but are innately attracted to.
I wonder how this guy is seen now by local people... an exception or a source of inspiration? I can imagine the response but I'm just hoping I'm wrong. I liked your answers.
oh christ... that hurt ,c... i've probably bombarded my brain with as many hours of television as you've spent, well, thinking about things that arent on tv... but i can still talk about things that have ntothing to do with tv... especially to you. and i want to!
yeah come to think of it i probably just alienated most everybody with that comment
oh well....
yeah it's not so much talking about things on tv, as it's the mentality that comes from watching tv...hard to explain...perhaps you have very good shields socks :)
but in a way you're right. now that i'm at least on the road to making my own videos, and already really hugely caught up emotionally and spitiritually, in this UsTube dialog, this subcultural diatribe here... who needs the fukken television!
hahaha i notice in the thumbnail XD, wow kansas is so plane?...i've never seen that kind of things; I actually find weird to see planes sceneries since I live in front of a volcano, well really in the outskirts of the volcano you may say, and all my country is full with mountains XD...yeah i know this comments is so off-topic but well that just came to my mind
awesome...would definitly would like to see that live, you know plain sceneries always make me think that something is missing there...i tend to miss my volcano...imagine that i said "my volcano" i'm really attached to it haha.

as i understand, the area has a bit of an arts culture because of him
pennilesscripple 4 years ago
actually paola now that he's dead it's safe to 'like' him because he brings tourists to the area
dead people are always easier to like than living ones
pennilesscripple 4 years ago
Yeah I can imagine that very well. Still I hope there is some genuine people in the crowd.
