Thanks for posting this. I'm surprised that they didn't talk about public transportation as a way to reduce oil consumption. For example, a decent passenger train system connecting suburbs to cities and cities to cities. It's not new technology, but it works. It doesn't mean people have to trash their cars. It just means that they don't have to drive everyday back and forth to work. It's extremely wasteful for everyone to hop in their car and drive into a city for work when a rail system
