Xplane has shit stock graphics, but it's what real airlines use as a training tool. FSX is for people who want to show off their computers

FSX is really bad in my opinion, it lags, all of the scenery is repetetive, and all the default aircraft stink. And I'm saying this out of experience.

All the features you have in X-Plane 9, you need to buy tons of add-ons to get in FSX.

I dont like microsoft period.

@757Pilot100 I agree, even though i have a good gaming desktop with 8GB of ram, and an nvidia GTS 450 graphics card, FSX still lags! Plus it keeps on messing it self up without me doing anything.

the aircraft-systems/virtual (3D) cockpits in x-plane9 sucks compared to fsx.

I prefer FSX anytime. and i would love to have the water textures for x-plane into FSX.

I have tried both sims and will always be using FSX until "Microsoft Flight" comes out.

X-Plane 9/10 have alot of ground to cover before you can call it a great sim. OK it is used to train real pilots, but for the love of god they should make the menu's easier to understand.

The Menu is set up as a file system, if you can't understand that then you can stick to your corporate microsoft product and your windows operating system.

X plane is more about flying/realism than actual modeling in FSX.

Graphics aren't everything.

To say that I've had this sim on my HDD for quite a while and I've hardly spent any time on it. Makes me want to kick myself.

X-Plane is a very nice sim. Not as nicely polished as FSX, eye candy wise, but very nice still.

One little gripe on X-Plane is the puffy smoke trails. :D

@aRareKindOfMonster very true yes FSX is better with the eye candy stuff, but X-Plane is FAA certified and is used by almost all pilots to train before they go up and train in a real plane. Both very good though.

@Tatsumi67 - I used MSFS02 and then FSX for a while before I got sick of bug riddled FSX and decided to try X-Plane 9. I have no regrets about switching. At this point though I'd wait a little while because X-Plane 10 is very close to being released.
